@@uberrandompersonThe thing is for just learning to drive a manual and getting the basics down. it can be a good learning tool, especially since it does give you the ability to understand clutch points and in some ways not having a clutch-like feel is a good thing because it means that they have to rely on other feedback like looking at the tachometer and listening for sounds which means that they get then get you set and then they have the added input of getting in a car and failing the clutch power as well. but they have an understanding of what a friction point is now and they have understanding of what happens when you shift wrong. The fact is is that it's a great starting point compared to getting in the manual and fucking up every 5 minutes

Logitech steering wheels like the G29, G920, and even the older G27 are fantastic options for most people. They’re reasonably priced at around $550 AUD, especially when you compare it to an elite controller at $250. If you’re moving from an Xbox controller and getting into sim racing, these wheels are a natural next step.
They have great modding support from the community, letting you customize your setup. Plus, the lower price point means it’s less risky to mod, making it perfect for those who want to get into the hobby without spending a ton. While they aren’t top-tier like Fanatec, they are still very good and can be competitive, especially with mods. hell that's what I've done. and honestly I actually prefer to some of the lower cost fanatec options since it feels right for me
