Thanks for the review. That is a good sized pen. I have the 4C in ebonite and thoroughly enjoy it. It's in their red and black ebonite, matte finish, JoWo #6 B .. and I have it eye-droppered with kon-peki. It's one of three pens I use at my workbench for customer correspondence. It makes sense that you would seek urushi for your pen. It would look stunning. I agree with your statement about Ranga Pens being a fantastic little company. I can see at least one more of their pens in my growing collection at some point.

Thank you for taking your time to respond. I’m always amazed when I browse their site at the range available, it’s seriously impressive. I’ve noticed one pen on a group buy which I’m really tempted by. It’s a larger looking version of the nakaya I own.

Nice review. I've been considering getting a Ranga pen, so this was helpful. The information about how you handled the issue with the nib was useful. I like to hear how the pen feels in your hand. You did a little of that, but for me personally, a little more of that would have been welcome. Thanks for your time and effort!

I'll certainly bare that in mind in the future. As long as people understand that feel and weight is subjective :) And thank you Lewis for your kind feedback!

Super idea the intro with the unboxing!!! And the pen is ... well... Gigantic...only the #6 nib isn't maybe.. the best choice... But I think you can choose the #8 size

You can indeed get a number 8 nib. However, you need the 3 in one filling version for that configuration. I believe you can get it with titanium or gold nibs :)

I liked the colour of your pen. Planning to buy this colour, but a different model. Actually I wish to own a pen suitable to carry in a shirt pocket daily to my work place!! Thanks for nice review 👍

As good as any pen in the world. Get a Ranga Pen in more preferred sizes for daily use. As good as any pen. No rivals.

OMG, the size of that! There’s a lot of real estate there for one of your paintings-on-pen!

Arlene A Lennox I do plan on getting another one! This one I am most likely going to get Urushi work done.

Interesting video and pen. New brand for me. Thans you for sharing this. You ordered in India ? No complications ? Kind regards. AM

No complications, they take about 3 weeks plus to shipping. This will vary from time to time. Other than the heat setting issue, the pen is fantastic!
