    I really like the feel of the TWSBI diamond series, so I’m pretty sure I’d LOVE writing with the Ranga!

    I don't have any Ranga pens but on the pens I have I find it easier to unscrew the nib unit if I remove the converter first.

    Thank you for changing the nib live. I’ve never changed them either. We are at the same point in our fountain pen journey. I purchased the Kilk Camera fountain pen. It’s a Turkish brand. You’ve probably seen it on the Galen leather site. I can’t wait to receive it.

    Your zeal is so infectious... loved the video... amazing selection of nibs, and that pen is gorgeous. This is why I subscribe. Coffee themed pens are my jam. And this is a must-have. But, that clip though! Right! Uh-huh.... This checks all my boxes... and the grip section is the perfect girth. Happy New Year. Great choice for FPD2022.

    Hi Karyna! What a beautiful pen! Can you please tell me how does the grip section circumference compare to Pilot Kakuno? I have very small hands and somehow I can’t use the Pilot Kakuno for long writing sessions cuz it’s a bit wider than most other pens I have. I’m really tempted to get this Ranga pen. Thank you!

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kathleen. I just compared now and this model has a grip section that is wider than the Kakuno. I recommend their Bamboo Slim model - it has a narrower grip section and you may be able to get it in this acrylic. Check out Peyton Street Pens or Ranga Pens directly.

    Wow Karyna I think you have a🖋🖊✒ obsession. 😁 I have been so good. Though I did buy a pen in August, then in September, then in November, but I said no more this year, and I held strong during the Black Friday sales.
    Ranga is so on my list. A Ranga and Waterman Carene are going to be my next pens, next year. I sort of wish you got the Ranga in ebonite. Ebonite has an amazing feel, and I want you to experience that. Not an ebonite pen that is laquared, but straight ebonite either polished or matte. The Ranga I'm going to get is going to be ebonite with a Ti nib.
    It's a lot of rotations because it's an eyedropper. It's a beautiful, beautiful pen. And, yes the copper looks so much better than gold or chrome would. Hope it brings you years of writing pleasure.
    I have some suggestions of how you can choose what nib to use on the pen. Buy more pens without the nibs. Ranga sells pens with no nibs, and there are a lot of custom makers that buy rods ( a lot from Jonathan Brooks) and turn them, and you can just buy the finished pen - no nib.

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yes I've got a bit of an obsession. I think I'm just letting myself be open to the acquiring new pens experience, but I'm also working within a budget I've set for myself. I'm also being more intentional about what I like and don't like. And there's one more pen that is on the way that I got on Black Friday. Then no more for this year (famous last words!).
      I have a few Ranga acrylics on my wish list, but I do want to try the Bamboo model in ebonite. I think the way the pen is shaped and the ebonite would make for such an amazing feel in the hand!
      I used to wonder why people would just buy "a pretty pen holder" but there is something to be said about the ebonite and acrylic and being able to have nibs you can swap. It changes the whole writing experience! I do have two nibs with cursive italic grinds, one fine architect nib and a fine stub. I'll definitely think about just buying the pen body with no nib.

    • @ironmic9244
      @ironmic9244 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KarynaLovesToPlan I have a bamboo, but it's the Visconti Asia Bamboo in celluloid. Nice pen, but very thin. I'd like to get another Bamboo pen sometime in the future. A much thicker, may be I'll get the Giant Bamboo from Ranga.
      You'll like some of those no nib pens. A lot of fancy colorful acrylics. But like I said Ranga will also sell you just the pen. Have I steered you wrong so far? Well you get many comments, so I don't know if you remember.
      Have I told you about fountain pen companion before?

    nice purchase- I was lucky enough to meet the staff from PeytonStreetPens at the SF Penshow and got a Ranga and a Lotus. I have used Pilot pens and you can't really compare them to the Ranga pens. This pen has a Jowo nib, and I do love the Jowo nib. But Pilot's nibs are smoother and softer (bouncier). Not always to everyone's taste. I like both and wouldn't choose one over the other.
