Polaris RZR XP4 1000 High Lifter on 42's and 6" Portals

- This is a video of the progression of my Polaris RZR XP4 1000 High Lifter. I started out with stock suspension with 33" BKT on 20" wheels then I upgraded to 3" Super ATV bracket lift, 1.5" forward A-arms and 37" Motorhavok on 24" Fuel Kompressor wheels. I ran this setup for eight month then for the New Years Eve ride at Sabine ATV Park I broke a radius rod, bent a trailing arm, broke a shock , axle shaft and the front output shaft in the transmission. Well now this gave me the opportunity to upgrade again so I rebuilt the transmission, installed Super ATV high clearance radius rods, Super ATV arched trailing arms, Super ATV GDP 6" portals 45% reduction and 42" Motohavok tires. Great job and video !!! One with the transmission would have been a good video to. What you could do is take that footage and slow it back down. And do a voice over as you going through it. Id love to see that. Thats one of the fears I have out of my RZR on 37's

Thanks for watching. I'm really satisfied with the setup of 6" portals 45% reduction and the 42" Havoks. Last weekend was the first ride I made with the new setup and it worked great but I took it easy. We have another ride planed for May 7-8 at Sabine I'm going to give it hell and see what it can handle!!!!
@@sendingitcajunstyle1020 yeah I have the same exact setup just on 40” bkt’s. But I have an extra 55%GR in low and it’s an absolute tractor. Lol

Hey guys i really like this build!!!! I have a rzr 1000 4 and looking to base your build to my machine. I was seeing if you could hook me up with part used for suspension and portal set up. And what gear ratio portal and do you have any engine mods. How does It handle for power with those big wheels?
What all did u upgrade when you went to 42s just portals and the arms ? And what percent are the portals ? Thanks in advance

What clutch setup are u running, I have the same setup basically with 8" portals. Been have power problems in high gear lately

looks good except the tires.. that skinny Havoc just does not look good. That`s my opinion we all have our own.
Yep everyone have a opinion. I went with the skinny Havoks because they are a lot lighter and sometime we ride really tight trails. Narrow trails and a 4-seater don't vibe well. thanks for watching!!

Were you able to turn the 42s with the 45% reduction?
Have a rzr xp1000 I'm going with 42" bkt and 30% portals along with my 27% trans reduction.
I had no problems turning the 42s. Most of the time I was running in high. I have a friend that is running 42" Havoc with 30% portals on a maverick X3 and it runs like it would still be stock.

What bolt pattern are the rims

Can-am x3 is 4x137 lug pattern with a 12x1.5mm lug nut

Yes but only has a couple inches of clearance. My garage door is 9ft tall
Why the little skinny ass cookie cutters? Tires and wheels need to be about 4” wider
