Hey guys, been watching your vids for a few days now. Very helpful. I'm want 4" portals on my 2018 Polaris General Deluxe. I run 30" ITP Blackwater right now 3" SATV Bracket lift, no sway bars, stock clutching at this time. Just added SATV high clearance rear 1.5" rear arms, I'll be adding the 1.5" SATV arms in the front too. I have Camso tracks for winter. Run in mountains fire roads forest , rocks, some mud. Like to Add 4" portals 34 to 37" tyres. Any suggestions for my ride? Gen 3 cast adequate? What do you suggest.
Putting portals on my ranger was the difference between me keeping it or selling it. The stability from adding portals made my ranger much safer to take my family out riding in.
Howzit bro, newly installed gdp 4”portals on my 2021 ranger. 15 percent reduction. 32” on stock rims. Hi-lifter offset suspension and axles. Took it out on the trail this past weekend. Noticed when I got home that it was leaking by the rear hubs. Took portal off and found that the seal where the axle goes into the portal popped off. Any idea why? Trail ride was not anything out of the ordinary.
Got a 2023 Talon 1000R just put on a set of 20” fuel sledges wearing 35” teraches. Really looking at upgrading the suspension and adding 4” portals at a 30” reduction. I always hear about the lower failure rate in the portals. If this is so whats your opinion on cast vs billet in realms of confidence? Seems loke its if you got the budget go billet, otherwise the cast are still a solid choice! Would love to hear syour thoughts!!!
Yes you are spot on. Make sure that you are planning to build the suspension and machine around the portals. Let me know if you need suggestions on parts!
