No-one is going to comment at the 3:31 mark where the temperature taken shows that Lucas actually kept the engine oil almost 20° cooler? That is pretty damn great if you ask me.

This video backed up why you want Lucas. And Lucas losing the pour test is another win. It's suppose to make it more viscous.
That's not necessarily a good thing. Your oil is typically designed to operate between 200 to 240 degrees normal operating temperature. If your oil remains under 200 degrees normal operating temp the contaminants within it fail to cook off this making the oil acidic and corrosive to your engine parts and causing more damage than overly hot oil.
I use Lucas on my 20 year old Tahoe with 240,000 miles. The oil is Chrystal clear. The engine purrs and sounds better than a new one. No lifter noises, knocks, and more power. The oil pressure is always nice and high 60 to 80 when I hit the gas

I also add it to my old ybr 125. Does a lot of good fornthe motor tho I have noticed it casues a tad more slip on the clutch when running the lucas oil stabiliser. (The Petrol lucas stuff I'm using tho as I know they do one for diesels too
Had me worried for a minute there. Just took my 6.8L Motorhome for a spin after replacing the rear diff fluid with Lucas 75-140w, and I added a little oil stabilizer to top her off. Glad I have always trusted Lucas. ❤️

My father taught me two thing in life.
Put Lucas in my oil every time to prevent my motor from blowing up when I start it first thing in the morning.
And
Drink two shots of whiskey each night before bed to prevent wild elephants from killing me in my sleep.
Neither has failed me yet and I don't plan to change.

Lucas changes viscosity. If m.j y car calls for 5w40 I'm not adding lucas because the tolerance of components like rod bearings are made for such. Plus lucas wont flow through journals and oil tubes as fast
Great comparison, I definitely thought the Lucas would have been way slower in the pour test.
To all of the people who say lucas is to thick to travel quickly enough through the engine...you obviously don't understand what the purpose of lucas REALLY is. YES it is thicker but lucas has something that regular oil does not and that is the ability to cling to engine parts that would otherwise bleed down after a period of not running. In that case why would you have to worry about how quickly lucas moves through the engine when it is simply already there. Facts.

It's just oil. Probably no different than the junk quick change places use that they get in the 55 gallon drums. But that's for people who dont care about their cars lol
Its made by Warren Distribution. Same as Walmart's Supertech. Its quality certified API oil at a great price. Been using it for years on all my cars. Never had any engine problems.
It's actually up there with some of the best. It's made by Warren Distribution. Been around a long time. The super tech brand from walmart is made by the same company but has a better additive package. That's what I use. Keeps my engine running great for cheap. No reason to buy anything else.

Lucas is good stuff,am using on my ford focus 1.4 petrol 250 miles,running like crazy,powerful no oil consumption,2 years aga last oil changing,oil look as new.
Been using Lucas fuel injector upper cylinder cleaner for 18 yrs regularly , on my crv that went to 265k , and now on avalon @240k now, the engine instantly runs light and quiete...saves my gas a lot
Miron swyst how often do you use it I have a Jeep I don’t drive very often I was thinking about using the stuff just to keep my injectors from clogging with nasty ethanol.
I use it every fill up. Buy the gallon jug.

Some people have told me that Lucas is too heavy and an engine can't really run it well. But let me say this about that- a friend of mine has an F150 with a 4.9 I6 engine with about 270,000 miles on it. It blows oil out the top end, there's so much blow by. However, we've been putting 80% Lucas and 20% 15W40 diesel oil in it for a while now, and it runs it alright. Now, that said, it's a 4.9. One of the "unkillable" engines. But still, it works fine. Given the choice, I'd go with Schaeffer's Moly EP, but I think Lucas is good stuff too.

I runs that shit in everything diesels,gas,lawn mowers,4 wheelers motorcycles hell even in my low mileage Tacoma. I love it. My 4 wheeler used to smoke like a train ran 1qt of lucas 1qt of oil. It completely stop smoke within an hour of ridding and that was over 4 years ago
I use it in an old Suburban that has piston slap when cold starting it. Lucas helped quiet it down considerably, although it's still there.
Even on the efficiency test that you showed, the beginning of the clip had Lucas with less efficiency, then it appeared they were performing with similar efficiency. Interesting.

Wear and heat! That’s great. My trucks and guns only get Lucas products
so I guess it is great for cars that work a lot throughout the day... whether it is lots of highway distance or a lot of city driving per day.
Lucas oil additive helped AFM lifters from collapsing on my 5.3 even durning frigid Colorado weather, it performed really well mixed with Mobil 1 synthetic.
Test all the lucas stabilizers,
Lucas heavy duty stabilizer, Lucas high mileage stabilizer, Lucas pure synthetic stabilizer, and the Lucas low viscosity stabilizer

It's all the same . Only difference is its Thickness.
Lucas oil Stabilizer is nothing but an oil thickener. If you use 5w30 and lucas, then u should switch to 10w40 or 20w50 without the lucas oil thickener and save some money.

Lucas is the best stuff, did miracles for my engine.
I'm using Lucas in my Ford Ranger. My previous Ford Ranger 3L engine made 245,000 miles when I sold it. The current one 4L engine has 88,000 miles now. I'm mixing only 1/3 qt of Lucas for 5 qt of oil. My thinking is that Lucas will leave thin film of lubricant even in cold weather on all bearing surfaces

I live in a warm climate, (Florida) and my Audi has 240,000 miles on it and has a few slight oil leaks. I added Lucas and they pretty much stopped. Car does not burn oil either. Worked well for me.

Use thicker oil that stop leaks use 10w40 or 20w50. I think lucus dilutes the additive package in oil some.
I'm a believer as long as you keep up on your oil changes you don't need this stuff, but obviously it can't hurt either.
@Purple Troll - Engine sludge is usually the result of not changing oil regularly enough. Highly doubt Lucas itself is going to create sludge.
Yep I bought an e39 with 310k miles and a noisy ass engine to LS swap, threw a bottle Lucas in there for shits and giggles (vehicle takes 7 quarts, so less than their minimum recommended amount) and it immediately ran almost quiet, it's crazy.
I've used this product for many years in old slow revving engines and always felt it was of some benefit. But I've seen some demo's that clearly show adding the Lucas to a good quality oil meses it right up by including large amounts of air and foam between gear teeth at higher revs. I still use it in my older engines, and in the rear diff on my 1942 GPW it certainly takes longer to drip out.
This is interesting bc I use lucas fuel stabilizer and it works great & recently bought the heavy duty lucas oil stabilizer and some people were trying to tell me that it's bad for engines with turbos in them.
I use lucas in my oil changes in my 4.0 jeep wj. No difference in oil pressure summer to winter. We get down to -30 here in n. Mi. Pressure comes right up. 200,000 thousand on my engine.
Lucas does prevent wear. it's just a polymer, thickener it clings to eng parts. i called the co. and was told no zink, moly, or phosphorus. or cleaners, just thick oil. but it works. in engines with close tolerances and cold temps, use 1/2 a bottle, makes good assembly lube in a pinch. tks.
probably make a good assembly lube when mixed with your oil. i think the secret to engine longevity is a quality filter and good oil changed regularly. That's where i put my extra money. so many variables makes it tough to measure.
Test that Lucas with different oils see if it interacts the same with the Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline and penzzoil
Sasquatch Guy all your oil is the same besides certain little things addded by each company in their synthetic. As long as it’s a good brand the conventional is all the same, all comes from the same tank.

I've been using the Lucas Pure Synthetic but just switched to Lucas' High-Mileage Formula. Truck runs smoother, cooler, and quieter when I give her Lucas Stabilizer.

Recently switched to LiquiMoly MOS2 additive instead of Lucas because my Mobil 1 High-Mileage extended performance full synthetic oil was bubbling at 5K and foaming at 8K. Currently at 3K miles the oil is already developing small bubbles with the LiquiMoly additive. I think I'm gonna just stop using additive for my next change. What do you think Nate?

Have you done a Lucas cold pour test on all 3 Lucas oil additives mixed with oil and and how much dissipates in a heat test?
Saw a cat c15 with 500,000 miles on it torn down in our shop and the owner used rotella and Lucas every oil change. The rod and main bearings still had batting on them. I saw it myself.

Lucas makes the engine work harder to turn. It definitely coats everything a lot better but when its at room temperature its thick. I guess when it gets up to temperature it really doesn't matter in the engine. I used lucas 80/90 in a manual transmission to a truck and it made more resistance i guess you could say. It didn't perform well. At higher speeds the transmission would be humming and getting hot. I changed it back to the regular and didnt have anymore problems. It even felt like it was shifting smoother without the lucas.
While it’s thicker in its base form, it becomes more runny when mixes with oil. That’s why you mix it….
Lucas works great in fl. It's very hot here and breaks down faster

I love Lucas . Been using it in my peterbilt since it was new in 2000 , I’ve got 2 million 237 thousand miles out of the first engine . Usually in trucking the magic number is 1 million , I doubled it …. I use Lucan in everything I own even my lawnmower. Great product …

So like almost any thick stabilizer, don't use it when the weather is cold. STP full synthetic stabilizer also did as well as Lucas.

I did this in my old dodge Dakota. Went mudding and ended up with water in my oil leading to a rod knock, after that I ran it strictly on this stuff, drove it like that for a good 9 months before I sold it and it ran like a champ. Rod knock was completely gone, sounded completely fine lol

Test it all u want to ! I've been using Lucas oil treatment in all my cars,trucks, lawnmower, for 20 years have had no motor problems at all !! Blew oil line off 99 Astro drove 3 Miles no oil pressure no oil in system fixed oil line put new filter on motor filled it up runs 50 psi oil pressure hot
? We are testing to see the difference and impact. I actually used Lucas in my cars today changing the oil. Lucas is one of the few products i actually know has a great benefit. My oil pressure line also came off. The car is still going strong. Do you not believe Lucas is a good product. This video shows it really doesn't restrict oil flow any plus more. What other ways can i test Lucas to show its a good choice?

No matter what oil you use..always use turbo max additive
Had a small vibration while in drive and stopped. Super annoying, even had the motor mounts changed under warranty. Long story short 1 qt of regular Lucas Stabilizer and it reduced the vibration by roughly 70%

2008 dodge ram truck 5.7 hemi never used oil until I tried the Lucas stabilizer at oil change factory recommended oil 5 20 now truck eats oil I think blew valve stem seals due to high presdure
Can you test Pro-ma MBL8? In particular I am interested in the temperature readings, and as for loss in weight on the metal cylinder it will be zero. Seen and tried it myself, could not believe it. Some people report operating temperatures of manual transmissions are halved with MBL8 and life expectancy increased 50%. It only needs 5% concentration.

I used to use it on my 91 jeep xj 4.0 it seemed to quiet down the lifter and valve chatter. If you have an old shitbox I guess it couldn't hurt but I wouldn't use it on anything built after the 90s reason being is more modern engines like synthetic lightweight oil and Lucas is thick like syrup.

I had a 2007 Toyota Corolla And I use Lucas on it from 7,000 mi all the way up to 1.2million miles when I traded it in in 2015 so yes Lucas is some great s*** I recommend it for everybody 💯
Please stress test Super Tech SAE HD 30 API SN for heat and sheer test. It’s mono grade oil used in hot climates (42°F and above) only. You can test it against Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate that you can buy in AutoZone.

the synthetic lucas stabilizer isnt as thick as grease & actually pours out of the bottle.that thick standard lucas is much to thick for engines requiring 5w20 or 0w20.just askin for problems in the newer engines.

One additive you could try is a popular Riselone advanced Titanium Nano 3x ,the brand new oil additive that came out in 2018., Riselone is a popular brand since 1950's I would love to see if does all it claims it does,vs Duralube. Both are a Lower viscosity fluid wich is important in winter months, Lucas is quite thick!! Thanx!!
I saw a video from Scotty Kilmer where he Sayes he was amazed of the warren oil with all the certificates as it has in all the years it’s been in business he was surprised how good the oil was. I’ve bought it several times from Amazon it works fine.

There are two different formulas of Lucas Oil Treatment one is very thick and then make another Lucas Oil Treatment that is thinner and they make it Lucas transmission treatment some cars have small packages in the motor so you need to use the thinner Lucas Oil Treatment on certain vehicles I will check with my mechanic that works on your vehicle find out which Lucas Oil Treatment you need on your vehicle
I put a qt to every 4 qts in my truck and it runs better. If you got a new vehicle you probably don't need it but if you got one that's older it's not a bad option to use to help lubricant the top end.

With the Efficiency test using slightly more amps. I wonder if that could be compensated for by going down a weight in oil considering Lucas makes oil thicker. Example if your engine calls for 10w30. Drop down to 5w30 with Lucas.
There is no use for a 10/30 oil, use 5/30. The only difference is 10w is a little thicker on start up, which you Don't want.

I use synthetic stabilizer very good product
Lucas is a great product. When a fluid is super thick when cold, common sense should tell a person that if your in cold temps, you should either not use that product or cut the percentage of product used until the temps warm up. In most of my vehicles I use 10% during the summer and none during the winter.
Engines generate a LOT of heat! Once car warms up, it's not a big deal but you're right, head is there to use and improvise!
