Props for the great looking meal!
Don't let anyone hate on you for eating bass, one of the most prolific fish in North America. Eating the small to mid size bass also increases the population of of trophy size bass in lakes by reducing competition.

Yeah, these are abundant in just about every body of water here in Texas, you can see them just swimming around right from the shore

I thought he was doing it because he had a deal. The only reason why I was looking for it. Can't find it where I shop. I'm in Ohio. Edit. There's plenty of it at this discount store near where I live. I wanted to buy it but now that I've learned that they haven't reached out to Mark, I passed. I only heard of it because of this channel, so I wouldn't have bought it otherwise anyway. So Crystal Geyser, if you reach out, we buy. Simple

@Demetrius Evans he does it because a famous Japanese fishing/cook youtuber does it with a beer. The same presentation. I think marks channel was inspired by that Japanese youtuber since the style is similar.

Another great video man. If you ever get to Dallas or east Texas o can definitely put you on a bunch of different freshwater eating species!

my buddy Brad, who is a carp fisher, turned me on to your channel a few days ago. Great stuff! Love your process... maybe not as much as the neighborhood cat. But that bass looked great! Funny how in the US there are some fish that are considered bad to eat, but are in fact, good!

When I was a kid fishing with my grandpa he would always say bass are bad, but one time I said if we keep one I'll eat it myself. He tried it and said it was great and now we keep them! Only thing is that they are high on the food chain so depending on the body of water you shouldn't eat them too often due to mercury or PCB's.

Because a lot of people buy the lore of Largemouth Bass and don't actually fish. They hear do much about the Bass that they think they're buying some rare, exotic fish when in reality they're getting something they can easily catch in a pond. And they don't taste as good as Crappie, Bluegill, Sunfish, Perch, Walleye and Sauger.

Mark when you hold the cleaver, you see how you have your index finger on top in the back of the cleaver, nothing wrong with holding the cleaver like that but normally you want to hold the back of the cleaver between your index and your thumb, so you basically you're forming a fist or closing or curving in all of your finger inward except your thumb, and you're pinching your cleaver between your thumb and your index. With that you'll have a more stability, from your thumb to the index finger, there is less of a gap so getting better grip vs holding the cleaver between your thumb and your middle finger there more space for the back of the cleaver to move around so less stability, and if you're prepping a lot of ingredient in a restaurant, over time your hand or hold on the knife is less likely to get tire or sore sooner.
