Thank you so much for the video! Super helpful. I’m currently going through the hiring process, just finished up backgrounds. I was second guessing everything because they weren’t responding to my emails and everything is moving very slow. Glad to know it isn’t a bad sign !
My BI has just started on mine. I missed her initial phone call because my phone flagged her number as spam and didn't allow the call to go through. She left a voicemail and I immediately called her back (we had a set time for the call and I was standing by for it)
advice given to me was don't wait for the background investigation to get your stuff together. do it before that process. The agency should provide the necessary info they will need. Which is what I am doing right now. I am going for dispatching not police officer.
Hey, I’ve recently decided that I 100% want to be a police officer in my home state of Connecticut and would love to talk to as many officers as I possibly can. I would love to have a chat with you whenever possible, I feel like I’m pretty clean but would love your professional opinion on some things. Im 20 and going to be 21 this January, I’ve started running 1.5-2 miles everyday and hitting as many push-ups and sit ups as I can. I would love more guidance towards what I should be striving for and how to impress officers in my local area. Thanks!
Been in the background investigation for exactly a month now. I have not heard back from my background investigator for going on 3 weeks now. Should I reach out with a professional email or just wait it out? Thanks!
Question? I had a phone interview with my background investigator. She stated she wanted my marriage license all w2 from jobs I have worked. Also asked me some questions regarding call I received from inmates which where my sons in jail .Do I still look like a good candidate?
Do you recommend calling the background investigator? I received an email about getting a background investigator, but I haven’t been contacted. I sent the investigator an email a day after the email was received. It has been a week and I’m wondering if I should call the investigator.
Hi Im currently in the hiring process for LEO, scheduled an appointment with you for Jan 2. Is itPossible to speak sooner, Asap? I can pay for your time. Thank you.
Over a week ago, i was told by my background investigator that he would start going through my references, and i should get a call the following week to schedule a home visit. But i haven't heard from him in awhile is that a bad sign?
@@armogantraining7164 first and foremost thank you for answering all my questions and replying with both a comment and a short video... I wanted to ask if you can make a video on the different types of police departments such as a City cop, sheriff, railroad, university, school cops ... and also where can police officers transfer at the federal agencies level?
I just had my interview with my background investigator, I remember something that I left out in all the paperwork I have filled out. It was an honest mistake, it’s been 9 years. Should I just leave it as is at this point or call her asap and tell her?
@@armogantraining7164 I reached out to them shortly after I posted my question. They said “it’s no big deal, I will include in my notes”. Do you see a potential DQ because of this?
Hello. I'm going through hiring process at the moment, but the investigator has told me that my personal packet is at the administrative level. That's been about 3 weeks ago. Should I call them about my status?
@@armogantraining7164 I did send a email to my investigator. He replied saying that "once my packet leaves his desk, it's totally out of his control, also has to go through other higher levels." I getting discouraged by just waiting around. Is it true, if an agency does not want you, they'll send a letter or call saying that I haven't been accepted?
It's not really what it means to me it is what the departments applies it to, if they even grant one. What a conditional offer is, is the department giving you an intent to hire letter as long as you meet these required conditions (medical, poly, psych etc.) What this does for you or any candidate, is it means that as long as you meet those requirements/conditions the department then has to hire you. But not every departments uses these.
i live in LA and the background investigator called me to for the interview i missed his call but called him back two mins after he answered and told me he was going to call me again the next day for it and he never got back to me i called twice and he just ghost me he didn't give me a email or nothing im still waiting for him to call me back

patience is one of the hardest parts to the process

Good catch but starting taking every call through the process of you can. You don't want to miss anything. Congrats so far.
Currently going on almost a month of waiting for my Personal History Statement for the LAPD to go through. Definitely feels like it’s been longer lol
Yes it can be rough but if you get to 4 weeks go ahead a draft a professional follow up email

That is great advice same thing we teach to our coaching members.

It depends on what you said, but some things can become a hurdle.
How did it go?

I would send a follow email then call if you don't hear anything back
Should I give my background investigator my federal background report?
only if they ask for it.
Can a background investigator get you arrested if you did a misdemeanor
Something like this is not the focus of the background investigation.

I do not charge for the first call, as for moving time up it looks like I am booked to the middle of January.

Don't ever rely on a timeline they tell you, follow up with them again begin of next week
can you do a video on how to get public trust for police officers
