    That was funny when you said, “neighbors were angry because you chased their cats” 😂😂😂 Anyways, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it a lot.

    Is there a such thing as “saying too much?” I heard that divulging into too much detail of your past history may disqualify you.

    In the background packets they ask for ten years. But I've included more than ten years. I'd appreciate your insite about offering more than ten years in both application and background applications.

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would end it at the ten years. You do not want to give the impression that you can not follow instructions. Now, if there is something specific past 10 years you feel they need to know, then include an explanation as to why you put it in there. Good luck.

    24 y/o here who was homeschooled around 4th grade and did high school online with a 3.5 gpa, I've worked two different retail jobs from early 2017 - late 2018 and started an online business with my brother from 2018 to present. I don't really have any local friends just a couple online friends however I do know a lot of people around town. Restaurant owners, bowling alley, so on. My previous employers would have good things to say about me if asked. Am I screwed? Who would they ask? Are they just trying to determine if what I say is true or if I am an all around "OK" person? Thanks, just curious.

    Question. On my background form, they are requiring me to list every place I’ve lived in the past ten years and also list my house mates. I lived with a couple dudes that did have a problem with me (not my fault) and we ended our friendship and I do not have them in my life anymore. Will they be contacted when I list them? And if so, is it appropriate to mention on the form that I don’t talk to this person/people because they were toxic to my life, etc.
    Any help on this would be most appreciated, thank you

    Good evening and happy holidays! I am going through the LAPD hiring process currently and just passed the entry exam (MCT). I am gathering my prior tickets and found out I have one open from 2021 for speeding. If I were to get a point on my license how would that effect my process? Possibly DQ me since it is 2023? I just paid the ticket today via scheduling a court appearance

    I applied for an academy through a department that hires you on after completion, haven’t heard anything back since I applied 12/20/23. Worried it’s because of something with my background as I’ve had a bad credit history and am still struggling with it but working on it, how would I go about contacting them about this as I don’t want my chances to be affected.

      Not sure about your area, but part of the hiring process where I am is a phyc eval, and then a physical from a doctor. So they could potentially see that.

    Will termination from over 5 years ago from a job for smoking weed be automatic disqualification upon telling to backround invistigator?

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not necessarily, it really depends on the agency. Some want a couple years separation from marijuana use and some want 5 or 6 years. The key, be honest about all of it. Good luck.

    what if u didn't sign any waiver with first police agency and failed on the background check can they still share information with new one u are applying for even if u didn’t sign any waiver with first one but the new one u did

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds a little complicated, you didn't sign a release of information with the first department, but you signed a release of info for the second one. Did it ask you if you had applied with any other agencies? I would say, don't hide anything if asked, but if they don"t ask I wouldn't stress over it.
