Well I had my first interview yesterday which was a full board interview the chief saw my application and thought I had been tested already and told the HR lady to schedule the interview which was when he found out I had not been tested yet and still continued with the interview, I feel like I bombed it completely but the HR lady who asked the questions said I did very well and I answered the questions very well and before I left one of the LT”s got my number from me so he could get me set up to be tested I was also told by the HR lady as we were walking out that because of the mix up with my testing, that the results of my test would ultimately be the deciding factor of which I get the job or not so other than waiting to see if they actually call me to get tested I have no clue 🤷♂️ I hope the HR lady was being honest with me and the one LT that got my number seemed impressed or at least amused either way I had his attention so I hope it works out for the good

Yesterday I had my appointment at the HPD recruiting office and all I did that day was filled more person paperwork and after that they told me to keep my eye on my email in 4 weeks
And they mean it if you miss correspondence with them it is an automatic removal usually.
I am taking my phsyc eval for my last step with the US Marshal Service soon! We are almost there😤

Applied to a agency 6 months ago, my phs packet was poor, I omitted some information, and got disqualified. Learned a whole lot by watching your videos on the daily, I now have applied to another agency, this time phs is whole lot better and complete with 0 omissions. Will my omissions and dq from the first agency affect my chances for the new agency
It possibly could depending on how you articulate it and what the other department says about it. Being properly prepared for this line of questioning is what will hold your key to success.
I literally just went through almost an entire hiring phase and my investigator just told me that I didn’t put an investigation on my application from my corrections job. I submitted my statement to them and she said we couldn’t move forward because I didn’t submit it on the original application
Unfortunately I see this all the time. Stay committed and get back in there.
I did my application mid-November. On December 2nd (Processing day) when they made us do paperwork and drug screen they told us they are expected to hire us within 4 months and sure enough im getting hired April 16th.
Did my background, poly, psych evaluation, medical all within 4 months

I have currently been invited for a board interview for one department and a chiefs interview for another department. I have met with the background investigator and we went over my background packet. He actually gave me tips for the board interview and stated that my history looks really solid. Should I take this as a good sign?
Yes but stay vigilant remember they are not necessarily on your side.

I did a polygraph for the primary agency i'm trying to get into on April 3rd, I received a call today from the second one I applied to inviting me in for an interview. Will the second one be able to use my polygraph results that I just recently took? Or will I have to go and take it all over again? Same question applies to psychological exam. Thanks frank and team!
They rarely do reuse them but it has happened.
I know you mentioned one of your members did it in 6 weeks. Does having all the information they request completed asap help streamline the process?
Absolutely
I applied straight to a police department and began my hiring process a week later they started my background in February I reached out to the investigator on the first just for a follow up and he told me there looking at academy dates. I’m not sure how to take that because we were only on the background investigation. Is this a good or bad thing I don’t want to keep asking questions but it’s definitely a stressful process. Should I worry?
Donn't worry about it now just keep checking your email and follow up if a few weeks pass with no word.
