My gf does something hilarious when she’s angry. Like you Pea, her English is flawless, but when angry she’ll go from English to Tagalog mid sentence. Like Ricky Ricardo going from English to Spanish on I Love Lucy. When she does it I start smiling and giggle. It makes her so mad, I hope she understands.

I was raised that never admitting when you’re wrong is more damaging to your honor than admitting your fault from time to time. However my Filipina spouse is exactly like you say here.
My wife doesn't have many of the typical Filipina habits. She values family and no strife. A bonus, she cares for me beyond my expectations and it took me a while to accept how caring and willing to help me.
My wife is Polish and is exactly opposite to Filipina, after so many affairs 13 I know of, and taking away my three young children, my eldest She is 15, broken, I can't help, my son 12 wants to kill himself, my 10 yr old hides in game's I don't have a happy Xmas, but just maybe someone can help with advice, love, and compassion. And I am currently supporting her for the Boarding exam as well ! ♥ I met her last month in the Philippines for 1 month and we had so much fun and created awesome memories ♥
@@johnclark7973 her schooling started in 2019. I paid for her school and boarding house, along with food, internet, electricity and so on. Everything went up. I remember starting about $750 usd at first for the first year and she graduated this year. I paid about $1,100 for the last year. And this school was not based in Manila, but in Nueva Vizcaya.

A lot of us got where we are because somebody in better circumstances gave us a hand up (a letter of recommendation, helping out with an expense, etc.). Great work! Now, she'll finish school and become a teacher, where she'll probably find plenty of opportunities to give the same helping hand.

This one hit close to home. My niece is studying to be a teacher there and is also going to be entering her 4th year. Even going to a public school with no tuition, there are many expenses. Uniforms, projects, baon, it just seems to never end. I honestly don't know how most students are able to afford a higher education without having a sponsor. Good luck to Anne and her future!
How much would you say it costs per year? My filipina has 2 years left in her teaching. She doesn't like to ask me for money but does on occasion when her parents are struggling to get money in time for a project or uniform and I am happy to help when I can. She might have to quit if her parents can't afford and I will help her stay studying if I can afford it. When I visited her last month her father was not working as he was waiting for surgery on his arm. I'm sure it makes things more difficult financially & I know she worrys about having to quit school if they can't afford it.
@@stephensmyth7566 there are a lot of variables that go into the cost, especially relating to commute. For my niece I give her a weekly allowance of 2K PHP. This seems to cover most things, but items like uniforms will always be additional. Like most things, YMMV

My fiancee is a little jealous at times. We were on a short holiday at Boracay Island and we were on one of the small buses. We were the only passengers, but a group of 5 or 6 pretty young women got on the bus. I could tell she got tense, but i put my arm around her shoulder and she immediately relaxed. We never said anything, but from that time i sensed a change in her. She now knows my love is just for her. Sometimes its the simple acts of human connection that are so important. One of the reasons I look forward to your videos are your acts of large and small compassion.

This is a great thing. Ann needs to finish college if she is to support her future family. Setting up a scholarship is something that very few every try to do. I have one and it has taken 10 years to build it into something that can support kids at my college. Good job!

Many of the characteristics you covered are positive and good, and they are exactly the reason why I am married to my fabulous Filipina wife. Fortunately, she has little or none of the negative characteristics you mentioned like tampo and being unable to accept responsibility when she messes up. She is more mature and self-confident in these instances than the Filipinas you described. That's why she is the queen of my mountain and the only one on the mountain. Filipinas need to discard the bad and improve on the negative to catch a Western man. (Obviously, men need to do the same to catch a good Filipina.) If I didn't live in Davao, I would like to talk with you on a video to provide a Western man's response to the good and the not-so-good of Filipinas. Keep up your great videos. Jim

In my experience, admission of fault is rare among women of any nationality. That's not particularly a Filipina thing and most men are used to experiencing this before arriving in the Philippines. Perhaps that brings the expectation that we would see it less here. Actually, we become willing to put up with it a bit more here, because other aspects of the Filipina personality are a breath of fresh air after the women of the west.

HI Pea. Another very good post. Very interesting information. My ex wife must have been part Filipina. She never saved, never planned ahead and would never ever admit she was wrong. She had a car wreck once because she ran a red light at an intersection. Some how she concocted a story and said it wasn't her fault even though it was blatantly obvious she was. Also, thank you for supporting Anne. When I was going to college I had to work 40 to 60 hours per week because I paid it for it myself. It took me about 6 years. Anyway, I stuck with it and finished.
These things are the best. Now she can really drop that burden off her shoulders and focus to get her grades. To spend her time in learning as if it’s a job. These gifts are lasting and extending into becoming self sustaining person’s … who even might get the opportunity later to help someone else in need. ❤

Every Pinay I have ever met, made me smile. I've never had a Filipina girlfriend but I have known many Filipinas in professional settings. They usually had more friends than anyone on staff. That says a lot.

Education is very important and even more so in the Philippines. In the west it is easier for students to keep going to school as they can get a job to support their education unlike here where you need a college education just to get a simple job as a cashier in a store. A relationship with a Filipino becomes a blending of cultures with compromises creating a beautiful life together. Filipino women like us men back home are told we are not good enough creating insecurities within. Understand cultural differences can sometimes causes unwanted friction. As a man a woman's place is under your wing and never under your boot. Women in general wants to work with her man having happy life together. I have found most problems you face are trivial compared to back home. Foreign relationships is about love and understanding one another working through any problems together.

I remember starting about $750 usd at first for the first year and she graduated this year. I paid about $1,100 for the last year. And this school was not based in Manila, but in Nueva Vizcaya.

This one hit close to home. My niece is studying to be a teacher there and is also going to be entering her 4th year. Even going to a public school with no tuition, there are many expenses. Uniforms, projects, baon, it just seems to never end. I honestly don't know how most students are able to afford a higher education without having a sponsor. Good luck to Anne and her future!
How much would you say it costs per year? My filipina has 2 years left in her teaching. She doesn't like to ask me for money but does on occasion when her parents are struggling to get money in time for a project or uniform and I am happy to help when I can. She might have to quit if her parents can't afford and I will help her stay studying if I can afford it. When I visited her last month her father was not working as he was waiting for surgery on his arm. I'm sure it makes things more difficult financially & I know she worrys about having to quit school if they can't afford it.
@@stephensmyth7566 there are a lot of variables that go into the cost, especially relating to commute. For my niece I give her a weekly allowance of 2K PHP. This seems to cover most things, but items like uniforms will always be additional. Like most things, YMMV

Wow, talk about making someone's day (and this case, their year!). It's really nice to see someone so grateful for being given something, and her reaction rubbing off on you too. I think it means even more to you (but in a different way). This is what makes Christmas special even for the people watching.
My fiancee is a little jealous at times. We were on a short holiday at Boracay Island and we were on one of the small buses. We were the only passengers, but a group of 5 or 6 pretty young women got on the bus. I could tell she got tense, but i put my arm around her shoulder and she immediately relaxed. We never said anything, but from that time i sensed a change in her. She now knows my love is just for her. Sometimes its the simple acts of human connection that are so important.

This is a great thing. Ann needs to finish college if she is to support her future family. Setting up a scholarship is something that very few every try to do. I have one and it has taken 10 years to build it into something that can support kids at my college. Good job!

Many of the characteristics you covered are positive and good, and they are exactly the reason why I am married to my fabulous Filipina wife. Fortunately, she has little or none of the negative characteristics you mentioned like tampo and being unable to accept responsibility when she messes up. She is more mature and self-confident in these instances than the Filipinas you described. That's why she is the queen of my mountain and the only one on the mountain. Filipinas need to discard the bad and improve on the negative to catch a Western man. (Obviously, men need to do the same to catch a good Filipina.) If I didn't live in Davao, I would like to talk with you on a video to provide a Western man's response to the good and the not-so-good of Filipinas. Keep up your great videos. Jim

In my experience, admission of fault is rare among women of any nationality. That's not particularly a Filipina thing and most men are used to experiencing this before arriving in the Philippines. Perhaps that brings the expectation that we would see it less here. Actually, we become willing to put up with it a bit more here, because other aspects of the Filipina personality are a breath of fresh air after the women of the west.

HI Pea. Another very good post. Very interesting information. My ex wife must have been part Filipina. She never saved, never planned ahead and would never ever admit she was wrong. She had a car wreck once because she ran a red light at an intersection. Some how she concocted a story and said it wasn't her fault even though it was blatantly obvious she was. Also, thank you for supporting Anne. When I was going to college I had to work 40 to 60 hours per week because I paid it for it myself. It took me about 6 years. Anyway, I stuck with it and finished.

Every Pinay I have ever met, made me smile. I've never had a Filipina girlfriend but I have known many Filipinas in professional settings. They usually had more friends than anyone on staff. That says a lot.

Education is very important and even more so in the Philippines. In the west it is easier for students to keep going to school as they can get a job to support their education unlike here where you need a college education just to get a simple job as a cashier in a store. A relationship with a Filipino becomes a blending of cultures with compromises creating a beautiful life together. Filipino women like us men back home are told we are not good enough creating insecurities within. Understand cultural differences can sometimes causes unwanted friction. As a man a woman's place is under your wing and never under your boot. Women in general wants to work with her man having happy life together. I have found most problems you face are trivial compared to back home. Foreign relationships is about love and understanding one another working through any problems together.
