I don’t understand why you need to name your profile Smithy Jones. It just doesn’t make sense. You aren’t connected to online. This is a PS2 game before online patches. There’s no way the game while offline could be able to know about an account created after the game’s launch. There’s 2 explainations. 1: This guy made his account before the game launched, and his code was in the game from the start. 2: In the Greatest Hits release they put the codes in the game.
There are no online accounts. You make your account offline. Everyone can get those skins, but the codes required to get said skins changes based on your username. I just used "Smithy Jones" because I know what the codes are for that username. So if you suddenly created an offline account using the username "43dollars", you would be able to get these skins if you used the right codes. The issue is that you would have no clue what the right codes are. Thankfully you can change your username after getting the skins, so you would just use the username "Smithy Jones", then use the codes shown in the video, and then change your username to whatever you prefer. Of course this is all pointless since you can only use these skins in online multiplayer, and the online servers have been down for ages.
@@generalclank6421 The constructobot skin is a completionist reward. You automatically unlock this skin once you have all 15 trophies. (The in-game trophies that you can see in the Starship Phoenix, not the PlayStation achievements.) 9 of these trophies can be found hidden throughout the game, while the other 6 are rewarded to you for finding all of the Titanium Bolts, earning all of the Skill Points, completing all of the Annihilation Nation challenges, completing all of the Ranger Missions, fully upgrading every weapon to V8 (V5 for the RY3NO/RYNOCIRATOR), and fully upgrading your Nanotech to 200 max health. Those last 2 trophies can only be obtained on Challenge Mode, which you can't access until you beat the game normally.

You talk about getting trophies but this looks like the PS2 version of the game.
