We did a lot of these things with our 3 year old when our second was born a few months ago. We held the bedtime routine sacred and had dad hold the newborn, even though she cried and wanted mom. Our big complication was our 3 yr old needing to drop his nap right after she was born! But we followed your strategies and things are much smoother now!

Similar to your situation, struggling with 3 yr old since sister was born a few months ago... the only thing left is dropping the nap... but daycare still does naps... don't know what to do.

If daycare requires naps, you will want to push bedtime later to make up for the sleep time during the day!

My boys are 17 months apart and are currently almost 2 and 7 months. They have been sharing a room for about a month and it's gone surprisingly well. My 2 year old is starting to interact with his baby brother but has also now started waking up at 5am! Our routine and bedtime hasn't changed, any advice? Maybe an earlier bedtime? Thanks so much for the great videos 🤗

I wouldn’t say my 26 month old toddler is experiencing a sleep regression since she still sleeps 12 hours straight but since her brother joined the family 1 month ago, she now cries for about 30 minutes as soon as we put her down for the night. This never happened before! She’s always been a good independent sleeper since she was 9 months old. Not sure how to negate this…? Her routine hasn’t changed. She still gets a bath and quiet time with a few books before bed. Any pointers??

Congrats on your new baby! I would look into her daytime schedule. She may need nap shortened!
