@@Alishba_ヅ Stress is what's triggering it the most for you and manny others, because stress affects the immune system. It's an overreaction from the immune system towards the waste of broken down sebum by the Malassezia living on our skin. You have to figure out why your immune system overreacts.
Nr. 1 is food intolerances, 2. is other food and drinks causing digestive inflammation, 3. is stress: consistent sleep(!), exercising, walks, sunlight, meditation etc.. If you figure out these three factors you will se major improvements.

Cut stress and sugar. Antifungal creams for the face with cerave daily moist 30 SpF. Head&Shoulders clinical selenium sulfide 1% shampoo, ketoconazole/zinc didn't work for me in the long run. The game changer was black seed oil, take it daily - totally destroyed that nasty fungi.

My dermatologist has me rotate Head and Shoulders, Selson Blue, and Nizoral and that seems to work fine. This is for scalp. Also have issue around nostrils so I apply on that area too. Basically I treat for 5-10 min every 3-5 days. Using different shampoo each time. Nizoral does seem to be the best of the three so thats cool to see in this vid. And yes this dermatitis does flare in the winter. I think getting a few min of sun on the scalp helps too. For me the issue has settled down over last few years (am now doing a Mediterranean diet just for health but who knows). I still rotate the 3 shampoos but do shorter treatment times. Great vid and explanation. Thanks.

“Zinc pyrithione can in the laboratory setting trigger a variety of responses, such as DNA damage in skin cells.” -Wikipedia. Also, research has shown that monkeys topically treated with ZP have been shown to pass it in their urine. So clearly it is cytotoxic (kills cells) and can cause DNA damage (cancer) and be absorbed by the body. I would avoid it. Wouldn’t be surprised if it contributed to baldness.

I used to have seborrhea on my face (nose to cheeks area and lower forehead) since my mid teen years. I suspect that it was triggered by a very stressful family event when I was 14.
I was given a few creams and corticosteroids but it only became worse. My condition started getting much, MUCH worse around the age of 24 and I remembered there were even days when I literally couldn't leave the house. It was extremely depressing and I completely lost hope about life. The most interesting thing was that there were moments when I felt like the burning and sort of a "darkness" is coming up my body and in few hours it hit my face and the condition just became extremely bad. Seborrhea was always there but these "attacks" were very scary. I always compare it to as if you have all the energy and drive to do things, accomplish your daily task, etc. but it felt as if there was an invisible hand that is holding you on the ground and not releasing you.
Around that time, I went to India (Tamil Nadu) and stayed at yoga ashram for 2 full months. We ate twice a day, only oragnic local food, had a lof of movement, did cca 50 mins of meditation a day. My seborrhea completely vanished and my skin never looked better.
However, after returning back home to Europe, I noticed it is slowly coming back and even though it was not as severe as before, it was clear to me that either: 1) I did something in India that I normally don't do at home, or 2) I was not doing something that I normally do back home. I came to conclusion that it must be something about the food and since I heard about the digestion/skin connection, I decided to visit a gastroenterologist. They did the endoscopy, took a sample, and after two weeks sent me the result that confirmed that I have celiac disease.
I had to completely change my eating habits but most importanty - after a few days without gluten, my condition became much better and since then I have NEVER experienced seborrhea in any form again. I used no cosmetics, I did not even wash my face, nothing of that sort. It was just about omitting gluten in all of its forms.
This is my personal story and experience and other people might get in because of different reasons but I can only recommend to get your gut checked.
Good luck and a lot of strength to everyone who is still dealing with seborrhea.

All the patients responded markedly with application of honey. Itching was relieved and scaling was disappeared within one week. Skin lesions were healed and disappeared completely within 2 weeks. In addition, patients showed subjective improvement in hair loss.
None of the patients (15 patients) treated with honey application once weekly for six months showed relapse while the 12/15 patients who had no treatment with honey experienced a relapse of the lesions 2-4 months after stopping treatment.

Zinc shampoos never worked for me. I believe most of my issues came from build up on my scalp and skin - as well as perhaps a breakdown of my skin barrier. Here’s what I use now: For my face I use Cerave Hydrating cleanser followed by Paula’s choice 2% bha exfoliant or the ordinary azeliac acid suspension 10%, and a cerave spf moisturizer lotion. (All of these you just use a little to stretch your bottles but use plenty of spf as these acids can make you susceptible to sun). For my head I use a tea tree oil shampoo and a silicone brush to massage the scalp and beard.
Although dry skin still happens with low humidity environments - it’s much better than before.

I also have seborrheic dermatitis, and these are information shared by my doctor. This is not a disease, but a skin condition. It cannot be cured, but maintained under control. It gets triggered by genome, more often to men than women. It's more progressive as reaction to stress. For treatment, same medication will help some people, while not others. So you will need to change it, until you find what suits you. Fungus that Alexander is mentioning is responsible for skin condition, but root cause is genome and stress that helps fungus to "do it's work". Other external factors can help progression of seborrheic dermatitis (sun, dry weather, swimming pool, etc.) Treatment requires a lot of patience and persistence. It will not be "cured" with one day treatment, you have to keep on using one type of products until you see the change. If no progress after several weeks, you need to try some other products. And once you resolve the issue, you must continue with skin care products to keep it under control. There is a lot of cosmetic products specially developed for treatment, and lot of them have "DS" mark in their name. Try to find products that have more natural ingredients, less or not at all sulfates, that don't make your skin more dry, and do your best to keep stress level as low as possible. Be more active, in the nature, outside, with people you love and care for.

So, for years I was using corticosteroid creams on my face to treat the plaques, but at some point, I realized it wasn’t doing me any good long-term. I decided to try more natural stuff, and now I’m managing my flare-ups pretty easily with simple products.
    What works for me:
Be careful with baking soda because it’s alkaline and can mess up your skin’s pH if you overdo it. I dissolve a teaspoon in warm water, dab it on the plaques with a cotton swab, leave it for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off and apply coconut oil.
⚠️ Important: Don’t use it every day! Better to use it every 48-72 hours depending on how bad your flare-ups are, and make sure you see how your skin reacts the first day before using it often.
Coconut oil is super moisturizing and anti-inflammatory. If you’ve got oily skin, you could try olive oil instead.
For my scalp, I use pharmacy shampoos made specifically for psoriasis and dermatitis.
I also changed my diet and started taking marine lecithin supplements to help prevent flare-ups.
⚠️ Very important: What works for me might not work for everyone. You’re responsible for your own health, so definitely check with a professional before trying anything new, especially if your skin is sensitive. I don’t want anyone having a bad reaction to something just because it worked for me.
Also, I know that in America, meds and doctors can get expensive, so I wanted to share this in case it helps anyone out there. Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes, and sending greetings from France!

I have the same condition and I use the exact same products you advised, which the dermatologist gave me. I also only use one cream to moisturize my skin, it's Uriage D.S emulsion. In France there are several products that are safe to use and they're all called D.S something (for dermite séborrhéique). Several brands like Uriage, Bioderma or Vichy sell those. Since I have this condition I've only been using 3 products on my face, no hot water (nzither on my face nor on my scalp) and it's way better than what it used to be, eventhough I can still have after the gym or when it too hot or humid outside.

And after several months, I use a moisteriser, I stopped using ghee, because I do not need it anymore. Doctors thought I had rosacea and wondered how I cured it. Thank You for this I look forward to trying these.
I've struggled with this for years without the benefit of having healthcare. It took me years to just figure out what it was. Then there wasn't much information to be found out there.
My condition is pretty severe with patchting my head (bald) and my face (beard) which I grew out to hide the flare-ups, but clearly made flaking more pronounced.
Way back when, I used different types of Anti-dandruff on my face and head. Which held the flakes at bay for a day or so, but would greatly agitate my my exposed skin so bad that the patches would practically glow bright red. Sympathy for Rudolph Vibes. There are a multitude of worse things to have, but this can be highly embarrassing and shameful at its worst.
So I would like to share what little information I picked up along the way that's worked for me up until now, for others of us out who share in this.
I found that by using a Probiotic Soap that was mild enough for everyday use (sometimes twice a day in the beginning and during certain flareups) kept my severe condition highly manageable. I buy mine through Amazon because its not easy to find in stores.
I'm not proposing that this works better than what is video offers as I intend on looing into these products as well.
I just wanted to put some additional knowldge out there to help our community. I hope this helps anyone who finds this.
P.S. Soap use; Lather and work into your skin like makeup removal. Leave for a few, letting it do its thing, then rinse.

My last flare up was before I started using the cleanser and I had literal scales basically growing in between my eyes and nose. It was so bad I ripped them off and left my face red for a month. Trust me the cleanser works a lot better I also alternate between selsun and head & shoulders for my severe dandruff (when I was a kid I got a buzzcut and my mom thought I was bald from how much dandruff I had. On top of that, I've discovered that nizoral also make a cream that you can apply directly to your skin with the same medicine in it, which I have started applying on my face as soon as I notice my skin becoming rougher of redder in the places I get the breakouts. I've alternated between using malt, distilled and cider apple vinegar and haven't had any problems with burning. Distilled (white) vinegar seems to be the most effective.

I never knew the conditions i had until i saw your video. I have the exact same condition as you. What had helped me clear the flare ups on my face was brown rice vinegar. If i apply the vinegar once a day, it will clear in 2 days. I tried ACV, but it surprisingly didn't work. Brown rice vinegar smells very strongly, so now i know what alternatives i have.

Also sulphur soap is a godsend for cleaning the face after exercises.

Nizoral is banned in Europe and for good reasons, especially long term use. I used Kelual which got rid of it and kept it at bay but the chemicals in it made my hair fall because it would dry my scalp then somehow unclogged the pores who made it extra greasy after three days. For my face, rubbing castor oil on affected areas of the face every night kept the problem under control and is what I do to this day and swear by it. For the scalp I am yet to find a natural remedy. I have noticed the scalp gets worse the weeks following a stressful time or a stretch of few days where I haven't slept well and got good rest.

Zinc pyrithione is supposedly bad for the environment, mainly for fish and other animals living in water. I think this might be worth looking into when considering using these types of products. I'm living in Sweden and googled the active ingredient out of curiosity and saw lots of controversy and articles regarding it and companies removing it from the products like Head & Shoulders shampoo for example. Don't want to be a hater or anything just a heads up :)

I remember when I was teenager in late 90´s one wash with Head & Shoulders was enough to rid me from dandruff, no wonder it is not working today.

Homemade Scalp Treatment for Seborrheic Dermatitis or Malassezia Control
This recipe worked for me, and it combines natural ingredients with antifungal and soothing properties to help manage scalp conditions. Here's how to make it:
      Ingredients:
      1/3 cup water
      2 teaspoons rosemary powder
      1 teaspoon green tea
      2 teaspoons black tea
      1 teaspoon ground coffee
      Pinch of cinnamon powder
1-2 teaspoons castor oil (preferably organic, black Jamaican castor oil)
      Instructions:
      1. Combine the ingredients: Pour 1/3 cup of water into a pan. Add the rosemary powder, green tea, black tea, ground coffee, and cinnamon powder.
      2. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Stir occasionally.
      3. Add castor oil: Remove the mixture from heat and stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of castor oil. Note that the castor oil won’t fully mix with the liquid (this is normal), but it will still be effective.
      4. Apply the mixture: Pour the treatment onto your scalp and gently massage it in. Make sure to cover all affected areas, and leave it on for as long as possible - at least 1 hour, but longer if you can.
      5. Rinse out: After the treatment has set, shampoo your hair to remove the mixture. You may need to wash your hair twice to fully remove the oils.
      6. Optional: This mixture can also be used on the face for areas affected by seborrheic dermatitis.
      Tips:
Castor oil is sticky but won't leave your skin greasy. It helps moisturize and support healing.
For best results, use organic castor oil. Black Jamaican castor oil is a great choice for its extra nourishing properties.
The most important ingredients in this treatment are castor oil, rosemary, and the teas, as they all have antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and soothing benefits.

But this video changed everything. According to the information in this video, I ordered a special shampoo together with a PCA Zinc face cream. Now, for the first time in a decennia, my scalp is itch-free and my face looks happier and healthier than ever before.
I am so, so grateful for this video and how it honestly was a life-changer.

Azelaic acid has been a gamechanger for me. Totally unexpected and accidental discovery given it’s not really promoted as a seb dem treatment and ironically, I think, azelaic acid is actually a byproduct of malassezia yeast 🤯 But, started off using 10% twice a day and within a month, it had cleared up like 90%. I used to take ketoconazole orally and that only dialled it down like 5% 🤯
