Nice of Richard to use his hoards of journalism gold to be able to particle-accelerate and transport from live on the PGL major desk to his house to deliver us this banger content
i remember when content creators got their stuff in the game like 3kliks or WarOwl because of their positive contributions to the game over the last decade. Ohne being a skin guy wanted to skip the contributions and scum the RMR rulebook to get his face in the game. 😂 what a joke.
I look down on gambling especiallywhen its promoted to kids, but idk how that is different than olof and other washed up pros playing for Asian teams to get into the major. At least he is in it for the sticker, not the bag
Richard there has been a really handsome fella in the PGL stream, he is british and made a joke about forgetting and forgiving in esports, was nice to see that fella around.
If we treat all of the events leading up to the major as the regular season and the major as the postseason playoffs. I totally see your idea for a double elim bracket working and producing excellent storylines. Also all the people that are currently whining about the extra swiss stage fail to realize that its actually 3 swiss stages shorter because we're removing the 4 rmr swiss stages.
Crazy how the RMR can have upsets against astralis and G@ almost throw a 12-3 lead and people not think they are important. RMR's are BETTER for the scene.
Your self-awareness and knowing your strengths making you a great host and journalist/content creator. Probably one of the reasons PGL started working with you again. Only if Thorin took some mushrooms and turned his ego down by a notch he would be hired too and have interesting desks.
Caught most of the event, watching the rest of them I missed but glad to see you back on the desk dude! Counter strike sports events are so much better than most other esports broadcasts and I’m all for it, glad to have you involved.
Double elimination like back in the day was the best. Lose one Bo3 youre fighting for it. And one good day groups like Hellraisers are given a chance and shaking up the tourny. Such a good major to watch that year with Dosia running a muck
Double elim seed based on valve rankings, all BO3s until the semi finals. BO5s in the semis. BO7 final over two days, 3 maps played first day if initial score is 1-1, 2 maps played if initial score is 2-0. Change my mind.
A big downside of Bo7 is that if it gets to map 6 or 7, the final will end in some shit map when a team is forced to play their perma-ban. Imagine a gruelling 6 maps of final just for it to end with a 13-1 on Vertigo because one team happened to find a nice smoke that the other team had no counter to
I agree on the take about rmrs 100%. My gripe with what happened yesterday (i know this video came before maybe something else gets posted idk) is that it is really unprofessional to change the rulebook midway after you have confirmed it to be ok to the organizer even if it wasnt what you planned for. You agreed on it, deal with it for the current event and change it for the next. Changing it midway comes to me as unprofessional
Mr RIchard, please elaborate on the skins being bad for the game. I don't necessarily disagree, but I think they do bring revenue that in theory helps the game grow. I'm interested in hearing your line of reasoning
Weird how hardly anyone in their lust to hate valve remembers what the rmrs were originally, feels like an actually valid criticism. Personally I don't think so many swiss stages is great either especially when there isn't even 8 teams out of 16 advancing.
I’m all in on double elimination with all rounds being BO3. Swiss can fuck off in comparison, and Buchholz makes sense in Age of Empires, why the hell would anyone try to make it work it in CS though I’ve no idea.
Love ohne but I totally agree that they should of took the time to make a genuine logo for the team if you want a meme sticker in the game submit it in the workshop like every other funny sticker. As well as a bit indifferent to the whole rules and stuff but at the end of the day if they said it was ok it is what it is gg go next and fix it in the future. (as a newer player to cs the whole RMR stuff felt very dull and boring to watch for a majority of the games)
i love ohne but agree with the narcissism take. probably wasn't malicious but maybe didnt have anyone to tell him this was a bad look outside his community
Falcons dropped, rightfully, under your system they would have made it. Spirit on the lower bracket, not playing great, your system they would have made it. Team that does well 9 months but sucks 3 months deserve to be dropped from major.
not harsh enough, i need a full vintage BTN segment about him where rich goes so nuclear on him he decides to quit the podcast and esports cos it's affecting his mental health

He is Richard Maud'dib Lewis! Duke of Esports!

DodgyPixel
yea because warowl has been making cs content since 2004

Ohne has gave back nothing to the CS Community

Okay richard ill join the cult
I'm already in 😎
I can't wait to goto a major finally. Last event I went to was in 2019 I've been missing it.

If the rmr is somehow more important than the major itself, then it should be removed
@Richard Lewis you are the best, most articulate and intelligent journalist in the west
Many of my friends in texas are excited, i live in pennsylvania and plan to fly there to watch the major with my friends cant wait
Journalist is the same in German, obviously pronounced a little differently :)
Maybe it's in the genitive plural 😂

@@bradleyfirby648 Hot take: A major title worthy team should be capable of playing at a high level on all 7 maps.
Can't wait for CS every fucking week. Gonna be binging that shit non stop.

Is this that guy who wore that untailored tan suit?
BOOOOOOO

Someone needs to make a Shia LeBouf AI video; "DON'T LET MEMES... BE TEAMS."
I am now focusing on the shirt.
thank you

from ohnepixel :D
Support Comment.
When i hear ohne i vomit in my mouth. The good thing is that FlyQuest won.
Good, but
Mid Tournament Rule Changes = Spitting on Esports and Tournament Integrity.
But nobody seems to care.

Call me crazy but I'd rather watch the best teams make and play in a major, not teams that fluke their way in just for sticker money.
too harsh on the ohne pixel stuff.
