      @aussie43 then phonak is best. It offer wide changes of setting in program. Once I told to signia they abruptly told me we are not dealing with patient directly l. We only deal with audiologiest only. 🤣🤣 So signia is behind never accepting customer requirement instantly

    I got the 3AX …. Holy moley! These are the best sounding hearing aids I have ever used in my life. The technology improvements alone in the last 20 years is amazing! The sound improvements in my hearing had me in tears ! I couldn’t believe it

    I have the Signia Pure C&G 7AX with a cros. The Ric version of these.
    Be aware that with cros you have no mouthmask mode and directional mode and Telecare don’t work.
    Despite this these are great Hearing Aids.

    Great review and video Matthew. Thank you. I wish these had a telecoil option and a travel charger as they would be a contender for me next month. The new Starkey Genesis AIs ITE offer both so I believe that's what I'll be getting in May.

    I got mine a week ago. So far so good. The TV streamer is excellent and I have since ordered a remote because according to my audiologist you can only have volume control and not program change via the pushbutton on the hearing aids this makes it impossible to make program changes while driving etc. That’s annoying. Also annoying is there’s only one Bluetooth channel, not the standard two. Oh, another thing I’ve just thought of: if you’re listening to the tv using the streamer, and you go out into the kitchen for whatever reason with the TV still in your ears, you can’t turn the sound of if your wife for instance wants to talk to you. Without either the remote or your phone, you have to turn both aids off then on again.
    Up until now I’ve been happily using my five year old Phonak aids in conjunction with the wireless compilot which I now miss terribly.

    Sadly Matthew, I am just entering the world of hearing better and trying to find the best ones for me. My tinnitus is driving me crazy. I have been introduced to Signia and to Widex but I am not sure yet what is the best one. Being a techie and still working in the Technology field, this is an area that I have never delved into before Signia seems to be ones that I'm looking at but what models. Insio and the Silk. Are they all the same in the Tech just different for factors. being in the Canal and In the Ear? Thank you for the Video I am glad you have taken the time to do this. Cheers

    Hello! Last year i purchased Active Pro for Bluetooth connectivity and also a pair of Silk 7x with a CROS. (Deaf in right ear). The active X pro are great on the phone at the office and not a big deal to not have CROS in a small room. The Silk are super comfortable and stable in my ear but i miss Bluetooth. I need an option that gives me Bluetooth, CROS, and great stability. The Active series are hard to get aligned for charging. My question is: the Insio looks like it hits all my needs except the CROS… can you get a commitment from Signia on when this will be available?
    I have my Active setup to use the phone mode as a cheat for a CROS (“ampcros”) type solution but there is slight latency and also they won’t stay in this program when Bluetooth transmits so it is not ideal. All the hardware to make this work is there, they just need to care enough to do the firmware/software!

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Brad, thanks for taking the time to comment. Sadly no sign of a CROS yet and I've just spoken with Signia and they couldn't give me any more info either. Subscribe and I'll do a video when I have an update on this! Thanks for watching, Matthew

    Greetings Matthew from Nevada. Thank you for the great review of this hearing aid. I just ordered these hearing aids and I am concerned about the ability have phone conversations on my iPhone. You mentioned in this review I may need to purchase the adapter for a truly hands free experience. My previous Livio AI 2400 didn't seem to have any problem with phone calls when paired to my iPhone. In your opinion , should I be ordering the mic adapter for the INSIO Charge & Go AX , just incase?

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Danny, thanks for watching. If you’re on an iPhone there’s been a recent update which allows bidirectional Bluetooth now without the intermediate device. I hope that help. Matthew

    • @bradsmithwv
      @bradsmithwv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since these use the phones mic for pickup, you do need to have it out of your pocket to pickup your voice. This is similar to the Active Pro that i have. I actually prefer this because the iphone speaker phone mic is great at carrying your voice without much background noise, better than any hearing aids or Bluetooth headset I’ve used. In my car, i leave the phone in the holder and just answer and talk. At my office i leave my phone on the desk and answer and talk. I can hear the conversation great and nobody ever says “are you on a Bluetooth” or “you sound like you’re in a tunnel like they did when i used my Starkeys for phone calls. I find this an advantage rather than a disadvantage. (Ps: i usually look at the phone / caller ID before answering anyway so I’d already be getting it out of my pocket before answering)

    would the dual processors on SIGNIA hearing aids be especially useful for reducing SEVERE TINNITUS?

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gerald, great question. The dual processors are for separating speech sounds from environmental sounds. Technically it shouldn’t have any impact on your tinnitus. The tinnitus features built into the hearing aids may we’ll help though. Thanks for watching, Matthew

    Hi Matthew, great video. I am a patient of yours and I saw you about 4 years ago. I appreciate I am well overdue for a check up! Do you think this would be suitable for my type of hearing loss? The hearing aids I have at the moment are WIDEX and have served me well.

      Hey Mike, thanks for tuning in. I'd recommend getting in touch with the practice and we can reassess your hearing. Ideally we should be seeing you every 12 months for a check up so you're long overdue.

    Thanks for the great and very thorough review, Matthew! Love almost everything about these Insio's ...except the bluetooth protocol that will prevent me from connecting directly to my MacBook Pro for streaming Zoom meetings, etc. Any sense that they may change that in an upcoming release? And/or sounds like maybe the Phonak Virto already has that capability, yes? Or...any other custom ITE/ITC models that can stream directly from my Apple laptop that I might consider? Really appreciate any insight!

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Barry, it's great to hear from you. Yes it is a bind, but can be resolved with an intermediate accessory which can be useful for own voice pickup too. The Virto's do have classic bluetooth on their larger bluetooth models yes. Thanks for watching, Matthew

  • @npc3743
    @npc3743 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a pair of these aids and they failed after about 6 weeks and went back to the factory. When they came back after 3 weeks they had lost all my programs, these had to be reset but after real ear measurements they are still not working properly. I can’t hear somebody sat next to me if there is any sort of sound in the background even though I use the correct program. I am thinking of returning them before my trial period ends. I think the RIC version might be better as these leave me feeling as though I’ve got bunged up ears.

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi NPC. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I think a RIC will help yes, it all depends on the configuration of your hearing loss and your audiologist should run through it with you. Thanks, Matthew

    Thanks for this video. I have a general question... I listen to music on Bose QC earbuds and Apple AirPod Pros. I also have Sennheiser Momentum 3's. I am going to be wanting my new HAs to stream music at a high quality of sound. Do you know if hearing aids like the Insio AX7 can have as good of a sound as the best rated Truly Wireless Earbuds? Second question is, can you use an overear headphone like a Bose QC with these hearing aids?

    • @HearingTracker
      @HearingTracker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brian, Great question. I would say that the sound quality for streaming is not as good as with your earbuds and that will be for 2 reasons. 1. Theyre designed for streaming speech not music. 2. The coupling to the ear will be better with the headphones and will give a better bass response. Thanks for watching, Matthew

    Hi there, thanks for this video, I just stumbled accross your channel when researching the Insio Ax's.
    I'm having trouble finding what the difference is between the AX and NX range except the bluetooth and rechargable batteries.
    Do both models have the twin processors / twin mic setup for example?
    And do the AX have better dynamic range than the NX?
    Ah I did notice that these are waterproof which I think the NX are not.
    Thanks 🙏
