I feel like these 2 prequel arkham games give more depth into the lore than rocksteady did. Also the nightmare batman boss fight is way better than suicide squad
Exactly that's my thing I kinda love the Origins and Shadow more than the others because they explore Batman more as a character. It's what Knight failed to do in any meaningful way and makes the side characters feel like they do something in the story.
Well considering Rocksteady were completely disregarding things like bios from Asylum and not even bothering to bring Paul Dini back for Knight to finish the Hush storyline, and had their own writers lack familiarity almost entirely with the IP, yeah not surprising there tbh.
@@Hi_Just_FredThe bios were probably more like stuff for the audience rather than actual in game canon, if that makes sense. And the thing about Hush is he wouldn’t have been a good villain in Arkham Knight because Batman should’ve caught him in Arkham City, if not shortly after. There’s no reason why Batman couldn’t have just chased after Hush the second he escaped the trap Hush used on him. There’s other contrivances like Hush telling a thug where he lives so Batman would know despite that there’s no reason he needs to do that and dumping the bodies of his victims in alleys where he could’ve dumped them in some place like a sewer where they’re less likely to be found. The point is the Identity Thief side mission falls apart if you think about it, so Hush wouldn’t have been good in Knight anyway.

The Arkham games had some of the best story telling in games all together the series has done a good job of having this contained story with the joker trilogy and then finishing it off with the scare crow it was a good series I hope we get another console game they did to good for these the combat was amazing the alternate skins were great we got enough of his roster in there to flesh out the story good and bad people it was good not just being stuck in Gotham City we started in Arkham then went to Arkham City then we got to go to Gotham City we saw Gotham fleshed out as a character like the comics we needed another game
Also, it is Canon that Harvey or Two-Face knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman. I believe it happened during the grant Morrison run. But he never tells because Bruce is a good friend, and he sees the downside of a Batman with no Bruce Wayne alter ego.
The only thing that didn't seem to make sense to me was why Ratcatcher (Otis Flannegan) believed in Black Mask (a greedy elite) when he had more in common with Anarky. An Anarky Group could work as well as the Rats - people who felt abandoned, looked down on, and disrespected taking back the city. Anarky (Lonnie Machin) returning to prove Batman wrong and giving us more Matt Mercer Magic, Shrapnel (Mark Scheffer) a bomber with a similar Anarky Mask but with 1/2 Shrapnel Damage foreshadowing Harvey Dent's Fate, Bluebird (Harper Row) as a Rival Hacker to Oracle who eventually turns good, Ratcatcher as a supply-runner, Shrike who is a more vocal member, Dick Grayson who feels lost post-family's death and looking for violent vengeance but learning Batman's Justice, etc. Maxie Zeus could've also make a cameo as Lyle Bolton could have confiscated his electric weapons for the boss fight.
