This is really good, excited to give it a go! Thanks for the mention😄 I'm always thinking of fun ways to push the games and this was a very interesting watch. Origins and Knight mods dropping soon as well, hopefully manage to configure the boss fights in Origins 👀
Really looking forward to trying out what you've got planned for Origins and Knight! Your work on Asylum and City has been incredible and I'm super excited to see what's next
At this rate you'll get so good you'll need to mod the game to be a kindergarten cartoon protagonist. Beating Arkham City as Sarah from Sarah & Duck. Or Ruby Gloom from Ruby Gloom.
After enough time spent with the game, you learn it so well you need to mod it for more difficulty, just to feel that struggle of starting a new game. Of course, one could just play a different game, but to each their own. I, for example, play Blood (the 1997 shooter) exclusively on Extra Crispy just so I can have that pushback I remember the game for. At the end of the day, it's entirely up to you to decide how you want to enjoy your game, not anyone else.
Guess why people love Fromsoftware? Because you achieve something you can be proud of. This only works with excellent gameplay and combat mechanics tho.
This sounds like a lot of fun to do. Do you take suggestions? If so can you beat Arkham Knight, No Upgrades (gadgets required by the story don’t count as challenge fails) and Perfect Stealth (if detected in a Predator section where combat is avoidable restart checkpoint).
Don't see why evading makes you a coward, it's logical to use it when your so hindered. Plus Batman wouldn't call himself a coward if that was all he could do to survivie
I understood Batman, maybe Nightwing. But you should've made only Catwoman be able to grapple while falling, as that's most of her traversal mechanics, just made it harder for yourself tbh.
You made some good changes, but i do not agree with changing gameplay integral mechanics (like disabling third person in vents and disabling gadget reload timer) which hurts the player experience and strategy. I understand making existing systems harder, but certain features designed for player's convenience and made for a reason. Of course my opinion is just that - an opinion, but i instead would have done this: disabled detective mode in predator sections (to force manual threat analysis and tactical thinking). add new types of enemies (like a lutenant - who commands the troops, when someone discovers a body he collects groups of 2-3 troops into a circle and sends them to patrol the areas, when he dies troops became more chaotic and nervous, but look around and up more often. Add adrenaline syringes to medics from Knight in predator sections, which makes enemies impossible to takedown without a beating. Add a bleeding or heat trail mechanic and hunter type enemies with sniper rifle and maybe gps tracking rounds or something that you need to remove from the body. I guess that's too much ideas, but would had been interesting though if possible with current modding tools (sniper/hunter idea is great actually🤔)
can you make this but with the insane difficulty of the mod that "inspired" you? you're additions are amazing and i really want to try them, but i would rather play it with a difficulty that makes me feel like a child who sucks at games
I played through AC recently and i remember really enjoying it but it was insufferable when I played. I just genuinely don't see how people can like it anymore. Although my friends say I'm picky so I dunno, but I was really upset because I remember having so much fun in this game back in the day.
i had the same experience, played it twice since i played as a kid and didn't enjoy it at all. i love all the other arkham games but something just wouldn't click with me for this game
That's what I'm thinking! Now I didn't play this when I was younger, I played all the games around the same time (About 3 months apart) and I liked Arkham Knight the best. It was just way too much fun but City, despite being fun, did not replicate the fun I had with Knight. And like I said, I'm not nostalgic for Knight or anything, I played them all for the first time around the same time.
You're pretty goated, but have you ever considered completing the game without taking damage? No mods, just if you take damage from any source you have to restart.
Honestly it's because I couldn't find a way to disable it while on vantage points and railings. That's the same reason I didn't disable its ability to instantly knock down armored enemies lol. I just couldn't find anything that would allow me to do it
I am still trying to work out uploading it to Nexus Mods. I ran into some trouble the last time I tried. The drive link should be fixed now, but if not I should have the mod uploaded to nexus mods by this time tomorrow
3:55 Man jumpscare. I love how it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it easter egg too
Would I myself struggle with this difficulty? Nah, I'd win.
We won’t believe it to we see it, rookie
Didn't think I'd be seeing you here
Oh it's warping fist didn't expect to see you here
Huge thanks for the shout out man! I love seeing new Arkham city mods drop and I can’t wait to try this one out!
You did great work on your video man! Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!
3:47 I didn't know incomplete beatdowns could disarm enemies, so this alone is news to me
next challenge: beat arkham city with the wheelchair batman mod without laughing once (permalaugh)
Can’t wait till Camouflaj finally invites you for one of their Arkham things like it did for the other Arkham TH-camrs because you honestly deserve it

I never liked making games too difficult. 'cause games are for enjoying at the end of the day.
Som people enjoy the struggle

he said at the beginning of the video, after playing a game for so long there's no challenge left for you. Difficulty mods spice things up

I agree with you fully. I think some changes lean too hard on being made only for the purpose of being "harder"
