I'd love that. I enjoyed the way he integrated Superman into the Arkhamverse in Bonds and the cherry on top for me would be adapting the now-iconic Superman giving Dick's the Nightwing name inspiration.

I just gotta say I love the fact it’s explicitly said that Bane is disgusted by what scarecrow and mother are doing to orphaned children. Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but I like to think of that as foreshadowing for beans eventual (offscreen) redemption in Arkham Knight where he decides to bring down the drug cartels after witnessing children dying as a result of the gang war. Bane might be on monster, but even he respects the “don’t harm kids” rule… except for Robin and Batgirl, but that goes without saying

It's not exactly related but I'd love a Grey Ghost side mission. Given the bigger emphasis on character moments and their histories and the heroes' civilian sides.
God I love that little tie in with Jason becoming Robin. I love the show don't tell way you went about him, the moment I heard you talk about Dick and the orphan boy, I knew it was Jason. I just like how intense the story becomes and the bittersweet ending. Its such a great note to leave it on. This was so enjoyable to listen to. Hope to see more videos like these
Agreed. That whole mission was probably my favorite and the part with Jason was the cherry on top that made me feel that way towards it. It's such a nice tie in as you said and I love that Dick's Robin meets him first and has a moment with him where he professes that he's his favorite before the latter takes on the role. It makes Jay's fate more tragic to me.

What a fantastic 3rd fictional game concept!!! I was blown away with your sequel to origins and I was blown away yet again. Love any type of Arkham content you do. In the day and age of the new suicide squad game and Gotham knights game,your 2 concepts are a MUST WANT in real video game form . Yeah, this game would fit right in as a RGG game. Multiple playable characters, side quests, and come on, you'd get giddy if you saw a Batman dynamic intro.

Cassandra Cain would fit right in if he wrote a version of the original Arkham trilogy following his these Origins sequels he crafted, with her debuting in his version of Knight. Maybe he can introduce her and David Cane (with Shiva returning in a more prominent role) in an Arkham Origins 4 video.
If there was a fourth game for this trilogy and a sequel to your Arkham Knight one, then it would be interesting because the origins one would have to take place about year 7 with Jason, and the Knight one will look at trying to take down Jason

I feel like the final boss fight would have been better if our expectations for Batman stripping off the armor were completely subverted. Instead of being this physucally capable force, every hit Bruce lands on Prometheus does double damage to himself while inflicting minimal damage on his foe. Perhaps Prometheus' helmet tells him how to disable the armor, leaving Batman at his mercy, just as Alfred had warned (Because ya can't just mention that and not have some sort of payoff). That way, Bruce is forced into a position where Robin proves he is more than capable of handling things on his own (Validating his arguement about beating Bane by himself), and Batgirl proves to be a more than worthy addition to their family. Forgoing character moments like this in favor of a macho unbreakable Batman moment feels unsatisfying. Batman needs to be set straight after all his moodiness since Bullocks death.
Amazing video i was very hyped for this. One minor issue tho, over the gcpd broadcast in Arkham City, arnold wesker is alive and at a police standoff. Still tho, an amazing story nonetheless.

Really liked some of the gameplay ideas here. Robin just trying to survive in the middle of a fight between Croc and Bane sounds so cool and the reverse Freeze fight with Talia really tickles my brain.
That was probably my favorite mission in the video (that part with Jason Todd near the end almost made sure of that I'm just imagining the absolute spectacle of that mission. It was so inventive. I also think the reverse Freeze boss fight sounded like a very cool idea.

Have to say, I really like how well you played out the theme of family through this. That it's all through the game, on both the heroes (obviously the bat family, and the Gordons) and the villains (Prometheus and Mother, but also touched on with Talia and Ra's, and Joker's weird act) sides is interesting. I also felt like there was a secondary, but related theme of handling change, but I'm not sure it was fully intended. Either way, well done. Having multiple characters bring up a theme several times in a story without getting repetitive . . . well, even some professionals can't do it. Not sure if the similarities with Arkham Knight were coincidence, intentional, or a mix, but I liked them. Similar for allusions to other DC material. Definitely something I would play.
Not bad but a few changes could have made it so much more impactful: 1) Batman's return could have been held off a bit, like say 3 months. Have scenes of Batman becoming more unhinged, have Dick knock him out quitting as Robin (like the animated series) 2) Have Batgirl take over as the protector of Gotham, have Superman make cameo's talking to Batman, Batgirl and Dick. Dick in particular Superman invites him to the Fortress of Solitude, where he learns of the tail of Nightwing. Have a few Superman and Batgirl team-ups in Gotham while Dick remains out of the picture 3) Batman returns in a Azrael-Batman style suit of armor (complete with all the Azrael-Batman style gadgets and gloves) and is completely unhinged and very different. Even change his gameplay to be significantly more brutal, some of his takedowns should border on murdering criminals even 4) Mother is taken down by a new hero with a giant blue V across his chest as per new reports, enraging Batman who wanted to do this himself 5) Batman tries to hunt down this new hero, but is one step behind. This new hero is constantly mocking Batman at every corner and broadcasting his fights with criminals even to further mock Batman, everything is shadowed enough to make it hard to see him clearly as he is moving to quickly for camera's to follow 6) Prometheus catches Batman's attention again, capturing Batgirl after she takes down Ivy, luring Batman into a 2 on 1 battle vs Prometheus and Bane. Batman emerges the winner, breaking Bane's back and ripping out his Venom tubes. Before he can kill Prometheus, Nightwing emerges stopping Batman. 7) Nightwing flashback section plays now, in Metropolis. Reveal Superman even went as far as making Nightwing's suit for him and helped Dick make the gadgets he would need, using his speed to "borrow" them from Bruce and Lucious so he can make versions of his own in the Fortress of Solitude (show off Superman's memorization skills and engineering skills here a lesser known ability he has) We learn how Nightwing fights and plays 8) Reveal Nightwing know's that Bruce isn't in control and calls out Zur-En-Aur by name. Batman laughs congratulating Dick on the discovery, shocking Alfred and Lucious who didn't know about this. Dick reveals that this was Mother's plan, unleashing Zur-En-Aur Batman on Gotham to cleanse Gotham of criminals. Zur-En-Aur reveals his origin and how he came to be a backup personality if Bruce ever found himself in danger and on the verge of death or broken, a personality that would emerge to allow Batman to continue to exist without Bruce Wayne present. Final Boss time - Zur-En-Aur Batman vs Nighting with Nightwing emerging the winner, breaking down Zur-En-Aur's suit and injecting Batman with a drug of Krypton origin that Superman's robots developed to put Zur-En-Aur back in dormancy in Batman. 9) Bruce, now back in control, leaves and let's Nightwing take the spotlight and lets him turn over Prometheus. Weeks later Dick leaves for College and Batgirl is left as Gotham's protector, Bruce and Alfred Re-unite and leave Gotham 10) Epilogue plays, 1 year having past. Nightwing and Batgirl are protecting Gotham as Batman returns having re-discovered himself, now wearing a suit similar to his Arkham Asylum/City look and with a new Robin, Jason Todd.

It was fun! Honestly, biggest thing? The Arkham games always posit Two-Face as a faction head in the leagues of Joker or Penguin but… man, the guy’s one of my faves and even in fictional prequels he’s got nothing to do except be sort of recognizable.

I'm only an hour in and, don't get me wrong, it's cool, but we've had quite a few hallucinatory sequences so far? With Ivy, Mother *and* Scarecrow, there's a lot of mind control going on in this story. We all loved these sequences in the other games, but it just seems like a lot, at least at the point I've hit. Also... man, Black Mask just doesn't get a break, does he? He always seems to be at the bottom of whatever totem pole exists in these stories until he's unceremoniously offed by Red Hood in his DLC from Knight.
I also think this game should've had Jason as Robin from the beginning Not to mention Ventriloquist is alive during asylum and bullock during knight since arnold's name is on on Joker's party list and bullock's name is on a GCPD Board also Bruce hitting Dick is horrid, like i hate that, so out of character also Barbara dating Dick in the Arkhamverse feels weird as it implies there is a pretty decent age difference between her and Tim Also where is Lucius during all of this? i also kind of hate how this killer moth is kind of competent and a threat even if small, it goes against his whole thing also why is Moth going to Arkham and not Blackgate? he's not mentally ill It'd have also been way more in character if Joker was getting drunk cuz he thought Batman died Also why would you ever do an Arkham Origins trilogy without a twoface origin story? also Shiva and Talia's early interactions with Bruce feel off ALSO NO, Robin could not take on Shiva tf The story also feels like it'd be unironically be better off as one night, unlike arkham bonds also a complain i had for arkham bonds too, how do they have the glue grenade? it was gone for good during the origins dlc, though yknow i actually liked arkham bonds so it was easier to excuse for the great story like the origins grapnel boost It also does not fix one of Prometheus's main issue as a character, he has no name, it's fine if it isn't public but Batman should know it Also am i supposed to believe Barbara beat up Prometheus? and why doesn't this game use his whole copying fighting styles like taskmaster thing
Batgirl has 1, Batman has 2 and Robin has 2. 5 out of 28 missions being partial hallucinations doesn't seem that extreme to me but I can see your point. The game is very much built on the theme of freedom, which is why mind-control, and control in general, is such a big part. I also don't count the Ivy missions as hallucinations because they're more of a filter over the world than a full-blown hallucinated reality.
@@Bruhmanofyear2 Is Ventriloquist alive during asylum? I don't think there's any proof, only Scarface is present... which is self explanatory. Bullock's name is on the board in Knight, not Harvey Bullock. Sometimes I'm ahead of the comments. Bruce hitting Dick felt the way it should've Two-Face's origin shouldn't be tied into some larger criminal's short reign of terror. Plus you know the story, I'm not interested in retelling what you already know. Lucius isn't here, I think he wouldn't be in on Bruce's crusade this early. Disagree about Shiva. Nightwing could take Shiva. This Robin is proto-Nightwing. Prometheus used some fighting tricks picked up from the other heroes in his final fight against Batman which I mentioned in the video. I didn't want to go outlandish with his CD-Rom recording helmet. This is a more grounded take on Prometheus, notice he doesn't have a teleporter or an alternate dimension base but I pay lip service to those ideas. Batgirl beats an already defeated and severely wounded Prometheus. Yes, she can take him in that state easily. Gordon probably could.
@@GameDenColor I get what you're saying about it technically not being that much, but I think the problems fall into two main categories: 1. They're pretty lumped together. Like I said, there were quite a few within the first hour of the video, which only takes us to Mission 10. And 2. They cover a few different characters that all feature prominently. Usually, these sorts of missions are limited to Scarecrow and/or Mad Hatter who is a side character (or Copperhead in Origins). We've got quite a few characters with a similar gimmick here (which is why I do include Ivy. It might not be the same type of mechanic, but it feels like a similar narrative concept. These factors make it seem kind of samey to me. I think the hallucination gimmicks work best when you aren't expecting them. The fake game crash in Asylum filled me with genuine dread the first time I played because it was so unexpected, but the more times you use the gimmick, especially in a short amount of time, the less effective it becomes. I still enjoy whats going on here and I like how many characters that have been referenced but not included you actually put into your story, but that factor would probably be a criticism for me.
Prometheus was definitely a tall task for Rocksteady since the scope of the game would not really allow for him. He’s literally just Evil Batman but more dangerous than the JL on a bad day, which is why (much like Deathstroke in Brad Meltzer’s Identity Crisis) you only reserve him for team books. He’s supposed to be an Event character like Superboy-Prime or “ThE bAtMaN wHo LaUgHs”, so I always felt them teasing him was because their end goal WAS to use him as the JL’s very own Joker. Unfortunately…I was right about them working towards the JL. Just not how I hoped…
I thought keeping the Arkham motif was the dumbest thing , in the first place. The second one should’ve been like long Halloween and the third could’ve been dark victory. To keep them all in Arkham and then turning it into a city was stupid. Great games though

Seems like there might be room for a Arkham Origins 4 and maybe 5 with the rise and downfall of Jason Todd. Being a major impact with Batman having to go through losing someone, hence there could be a 6 with Tim Drake first coming around maybe.
Personally if I was doing an Arkham origins trilogy, I feel like its a real waste to not have Two Face as the main villain for at least one entry or hell, a DLC episode at least. His story is a tragic one and he was shafted in the OG Arkham trilogy.

Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but I like to think of that as foreshadowing for beans eventual (offscreen) redemption in Arkham Knight where he decides to bring down the drug cartels after witnessing children dying as a result of the gang war.

Prometheus is such a brilliant choice for a main villain. He hasn’t been used and he is a perfect anti-Batman
The way he integrated into Prometheus made me wish Rocksteady originally included him in Knight with a similar story.

God I love that little tie in with Jason becoming Robin. I love the show don't tell way you went about him, the moment I heard you talk about Dick and the orphan boy, I knew it was Jason. I just like how intense the story becomes and the bittersweet ending. Its such a great note to leave it on. This was so enjoyable to listen to. Hope to see more videos like these
Agreed. That whole mission was probably my favorite and the part with Jason was the cherry on top that made me feel that way towards it. It's such a nice tie in as you said and I love that Dick's Robin meets him first and has a moment with him where he professes that he's his favorite before the latter takes on the role. It makes Jay's fate more tragic to me.

i’ve been listening to this over the course of 3 days during my workouts and let me tell you… THIS IS FANTASTIC . as someone who’s been playing arkham games since 6 years old (now 19) this is literally everything i have wanted in a new arkham game. i’m furious that this doesn’t already exist. it sounds so much like a real game that i often caught myself getting excited to “play this game when it comes out” only to remember that it’s just YOUR version. fucking amazing man!!!

Cassandra Cain would fit right in if he wrote a version of the original Arkham trilogy following his these Origins sequels he crafted, with her debuting in his version of Knight. Maybe he can introduce her and David Cane (with Shiva returning in a more prominent role) in an Arkham Origins 4 video.

If there was a fourth game for this trilogy and a sequel to your Arkham Knight one, then it would be interesting because the origins one would have to take place about year 7 with Jason, and the Knight one will look at trying to take down Jason

Please do a side mission video like you did with bonds, the side missions you did for bonds were fantastic
I feel like the final boss fight would have been better if our expectations for Batman stripping off the armor were completely subverted. Instead of being this physucally capable force, every hit Bruce lands on Prometheus does double damage to himself while inflicting minimal damage on his foe. Perhaps Prometheus' helmet tells him how to disable the armor, leaving Batman at his mercy, just as Alfred had warned (Because ya can't just mention that and not have some sort of payoff). That way, Bruce is forced into a position where Robin proves he is more than capable of handling things on his own (Validating his arguement about beating Bane by himself), and Batgirl proves to be a more than worthy addition to their family. Forgoing character moments like this in favor of a macho unbreakable Batman moment feels unsatisfying. Batman needs to be set straight after all his moodiness since Bullocks death.
Amazing video i was very hyped for this. One minor issue tho, over the gcpd broadcast in Arkham City, arnold wesker is alive and at a police standoff. Still tho, an amazing story nonetheless.

Really liked some of the gameplay ideas here. Robin just trying to survive in the middle of a fight between Croc and Bane sounds so cool and the reverse Freeze fight with Talia really tickles my brain.
That was probably my favorite mission in the video (that part with Jason Todd near the end almost made sure of that I'm just imagining the absolute spectacle of that mission. It was so inventive. I also think the reverse Freeze boss fight sounded like a very cool idea.

Have to say, I really like how well you played out the theme of family through this. That it's all through the game, on both the heroes (obviously the bat family, and the Gordons) and the villains (Prometheus and Mother, but also touched on with Talia and Ra's, and Joker's weird act) sides is interesting. I also felt like there was a secondary, but related theme of handling change, but I'm not sure it was fully intended. Either way, well done. Having multiple characters bring up a theme several times in a story without getting repetitive . . . well, even some professionals can't do it.
Not sure if the similarities with Arkham Knight were coincidence, intentional, or a mix, but I liked them. Similar for allusions to other DC material.
Definitely something I would play.

10:25 Reminds me of the in-game convo's in the later Like A Dragon games.
Not bad but a few changes could have made it so much more impactful:
1) Batman's return could have been held off a bit, like say 3 months. Have scenes of Batman becoming more unhinged, have Dick knock him out quitting as Robin (like the animated series)
2) Have Batgirl take over as the protector of Gotham, have Superman make cameo's talking to Batman, Batgirl and Dick. Dick in particular Superman invites him to the Fortress of Solitude, where he learns of the tail of Nightwing. Have a few Superman and Batgirl team-ups in Gotham while Dick remains out of the picture
3) Batman returns in a Azrael-Batman style suit of armor (complete with all the Azrael-Batman style gadgets and gloves) and is completely unhinged and very different. Even change his gameplay to be significantly more brutal, some of his takedowns should border on murdering criminals even
4) Mother is taken down by a new hero with a giant blue V across his chest as per new reports, enraging Batman who wanted to do this himself
5) Batman tries to hunt down this new hero, but is one step behind. This new hero is constantly mocking Batman at every corner and broadcasting his fights with criminals even to further mock Batman, everything is shadowed enough to make it hard to see him clearly as he is moving to quickly for camera's to follow
6) Prometheus catches Batman's attention again, capturing Batgirl after she takes down Ivy, luring Batman into a 2 on 1 battle vs Prometheus and Bane. Batman emerges the winner, breaking Bane's back and ripping out his Venom tubes. Before he can kill Prometheus, Nightwing emerges stopping Batman.
7) Nightwing flashback section plays now, in Metropolis. Reveal Superman even went as far as making Nightwing's suit for him and helped Dick make the gadgets he would need, using his speed to "borrow" them from Bruce and Lucious so he can make versions of his own in the Fortress of Solitude (show off Superman's memorization skills and engineering skills here a lesser known ability he has) We learn how Nightwing fights and plays
8) Reveal Nightwing know's that Bruce isn't in control and calls out Zur-En-Aur by name. Batman laughs congratulating Dick on the discovery, shocking Alfred and Lucious who didn't know about this. Dick reveals that this was Mother's plan, unleashing Zur-En-Aur Batman on Gotham to cleanse Gotham of criminals. Zur-En-Aur reveals his origin and how he came to be a backup personality if Bruce ever found himself in danger and on the verge of death or broken, a personality that would emerge to allow Batman to continue to exist without Bruce Wayne present. Final Boss time - Zur-En-Aur Batman vs Nighting with Nightwing emerging the winner, breaking down Zur-En-Aur's suit and injecting Batman with a drug of Krypton origin that Superman's robots developed to put Zur-En-Aur back in dormancy in Batman.
9) Bruce, now back in control, leaves and let's Nightwing take the spotlight and lets him turn over Prometheus. Weeks later Dick leaves for College and Batgirl is left as Gotham's protector, Bruce and Alfred Re-unite and leave Gotham
10) Epilogue plays, 1 year having past. Nightwing and Batgirl are protecting Gotham as Batman returns having re-discovered himself, now wearing a suit similar to his Arkham Asylum/City look and with a new Robin, Jason Todd.

Honestly, biggest thing? The Arkham games always posit Two-Face as a faction head in the leagues of Joker or Penguin but… man, the guy’s one of my faves and even in fictional prequels he’s got nothing to do except be sort of recognizable.
With it being set when it is it kind of feels less like an origins game and more just like a pre-asylum game

I'm only an hour in and, don't get me wrong, it's cool, but we've had quite a few hallucinatory sequences so far? With Ivy, Mother *and* Scarecrow, there's a lot of mind control going on in this story. We all loved these sequences in the other games, but it just seems like a lot, at least at the point I've hit.
Also... man, Black Mask just doesn't get a break, does he? He always seems to be at the bottom of whatever totem pole exists in these stories until he's unceremoniously offed by Red Hood in his DLC from Knight.
I also think this game should've had Jason as Robin from the beginning

Batgirl has 1, Batman has 2 and Robin has 2. 5 out of 28 missions being partial hallucinations doesn't seem that extreme to me but I can see your point. The game is very much built on the theme of freedom, which is why mind-control, and control in general, is such a big part.
I also don't count the Ivy missions as hallucinations because they're more of a filter over the world than a full-blown hallucinated reality.

Two-Face's origin shouldn't be tied into some larger criminal's short reign of terror. Plus you know the story, I'm not interested in retelling what you already know.

Prometheus used some fighting tricks picked up from the other heroes in his final fight against Batman which I mentioned in the video. I didn't want to go outlandish with his CD-Rom recording helmet. This is a more grounded take on Prometheus, notice he doesn't have a teleporter or an alternate dimension base but I pay lip service to those ideas.
Batgirl beats an already defeated and severely wounded Prometheus. Yes, she can take him in that state easily. Gordon probably could.
@@GameDenColor I get what you're saying about it technically not being that much, but I think the problems fall into two main categories:
1. They're pretty lumped together. Like I said, there were quite a few within the first hour of the video, which only takes us to Mission 10.
And 2. They cover a few different characters that all feature prominently. Usually, these sorts of missions are limited to Scarecrow and/or Mad Hatter who is a side character (or Copperhead in Origins). We've got quite a few characters with a similar gimmick here (which is why I do include Ivy. It might not be the same type of mechanic, but it feels like a similar narrative concept.
These factors make it seem kind of samey to me. I think the hallucination gimmicks work best when you aren't expecting them. The fake game crash in Asylum filled me with genuine dread the first time I played because it was so unexpected, but the more times you use the gimmick, especially in a short amount of time, the less effective it becomes.
I still enjoy whats going on here and I like how many characters that have been referenced but not included you actually put into your story, but that factor would probably be a criticism for me.

It could've been cool to have Shrike return as Prometheus' version of Robin.
Prometheus was definitely a tall task for Rocksteady since the scope of the game would not really allow for him. He’s literally just Evil Batman but more dangerous than the JL on a bad day, which is why (much like Deathstroke in Brad Meltzer’s Identity Crisis) you only reserve him for team books. He’s supposed to be an Event character like Superboy-Prime or “ThE bAtMaN wHo LaUgHs”, so I always felt them teasing him was because their end goal WAS to use him as the JL’s very own Joker.
Unfortunately…I was right about them working towards the JL. Just not how I hoped…
I thought keeping the Arkham motif was the dumbest thing , in the first place. The second one should’ve been like long Halloween and the third could’ve been dark victory. To keep them all in Arkham and then turning it into a city was stupid. Great games though

Personally if I was doing an Arkham origins trilogy, I feel like its a real waste to not have Two Face as the main villain for at least one entry or hell, a DLC episode at least. His story is a tragic one and he was shafted in the OG Arkham trilogy.
