- Every character has several alternate costumes in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but tons have missed potential. In this video I provide about new ideas for pallet swaps for every character in the roster, this time focusing on those introduced in Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U (Smash 4). We break down every character's alts and four new ones are added, would this be a good idea as Smash DLC?

For Pirhana Plant, we need the one with cat ears from Bowsers Fury
I hope there is one based off of the Bone Piranha plants from NSMB 2. I know we already have the white one, but I think that is more of a reference to the nipper plants

Inkling - Literally any assortment of gear from Splatoon 2, including the hero outfit. Maybe even add Octolings if you want to be bold
How about alts based on Off the Hook or Captain Cuttlefish or DJ Octavio?

I haven't played any FE games, so correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure Corrin and Robin have customizable looks? If true, I think one thing that would be cool for their alts would be to have different hairstyles for each, based on hairstyles you can pick in their games. Mostly because I think male corrin's hair looks weird and male robin's looks boring, but it would be a good reference too and add some variety (although both of them have great alts already).

How about outfits for Banjo-Kazooie based on the second game, as well as one based on Conker, a fellow Rare character?
Hero's parade outfit would be hilarious, even better if it changes the way he runs like in the game.

20:10 Mark makes a lot of sense to reference with Robin because they’re both customizable tacticians.
All of Rosalina's alts are based on different Lumas, the pink on hungry lumas, purple on Lubba, black on polari, and the rest of the colors on regular lumas. Red obviously also takes inspiration from her fire flower while her white also takes part inspiration from White Mage who in mario sports mix kinda had a Rosalina based alt
I never realized Cloud had alts for both versions because I never seem to notice the slight palette swaps done to make him different. The same is true for Sephiroth where his alts are barely noticable.

This is what I feel too. Some are clearly references when they go so far as to change the hair colour then they normally don't, and when the colours of their clothes match up. But sometimes it seems like they see that the outfit is generally yellow, and it must therefore obviously be based on this character who wears yellow, even though it's not the same shade, nor does it include the other minor colours either.

Also, there is a big fuss about Robin being actually Mark. Yes, it's probably a stupid theory, but the fact that Robin canonically resembles him a lot(Lyn confuses them) makes an obivous reference
5:43 - I never understood why people thought Rosalina and Luma were "controversial" additions to Super Smash Bros 4
because I for one was excited to see these two on the roster and I'm also glad that they are appearing in more games
especially if you compare Rosalina's presence during the Wii era with only being in three games with one of them
being in Mario Kart Wii. She didn't even appear in Mario Party 9!
Plus, they complained the Mario has too many characters in Smash, yet they keep whining about Waluigi still not being playable
As tricky as it might be, I'd love to see an Incineroar palette or costume that pays homage to Zangief.
Also for Terry, his Garou outfit goes without saying. Genuinely sad we didn't see it make it into the base game.

Even though I never played 'Smash 4', a lot of my favorite characters, (and my main, Bayonetta) debuted in this game and I would totally use these alternative costumes. Love this series!

For Joker, 2 of the alts could reference the Persona 3 and 4 protagonists, while another could have the swim shorts from Persona 5’s beach scenes. Maybe even have a Velvet Room Attendant alt. A lot of possibilities here

My main is now Chestnaught Greninja. That is the best looking alt I have seen from this series
20:25 I'm quite sure this alt is supposed to represent Morgan (male Morgan, if you want to get specific), because the robe colors are still around the same hue as normal and are very lightly changed, and there's no yellow or purple in Inigo's artwork. The similarity of their gray hair is just because Morgan's default artwork in Awakening has him with gray hair instead of the black hair used in Heroes.
Ideas for Inkling alts:
An alt based on Octoling (obviously)
An alt based on Tartar, the antagonist from Octo Expansion
An alt based on the Inkling boy from Splatoon 2
An alt based on the Inkling Girl from the Splatoon 3 tralier

For Corrin, I would have loved a Camilla themed outfit. Or an outfit based on Elise. A Mikoto or Garon outfit would have looked nice too.
For Min Min: Base them off of different types of Pasta (1. Yellow noodle arms with a red outfit with brown accents, based on Spaghetti. 2. Black noodle arms with a cream colored outfit, based on Al nero de sepia. 3. Orange noodle arms with green and red, based on Pasta Salad. 4. Light Brown noodle arms, a yellow outfit with red accents, based on Fried Rice)
Id like to see Madeline from Celeste as a Mii Brawler alt
So, honestly, in terms of alts in the upcoming episodes:
I always thought Ridley would look good in Samus's colors.
Maybe Terry could get alts that reference other major King of Fighters characters? An inverted-color shirt and black pants for Geese would be great.
Three Houses has two routes that didn't see representation in Ultimate- one secret one, and one that was added later. Why not create an all-white alt and a light purple/dark gray alt to represent those two?
Sephiroth does have a really sick alternate design from KH, but realistically having a bit more variation in coat/pants colors would be fine.
Pyra/Mythra in KOS-MOS/T-ELOS colors seems like a no-brainer, or using them to reference Driver/Blade pairs in the game (Dark blue and gray/pale purple and green for Zeke/Pandoria, for instance) is just an obvious direction I expected them to take the alts in after seeing Shulk reference his entire party.
This is why they should let us make our own alts like rivals does there so much potential for ppl to get creative with alts

I’ve actually always wanted Corrin’s alts to be based on the fates siblings lol, even though 2 would be left out, but I thought of combining Leo & Takumi, & Sakura & Elise, but I love the idea of the Xander & Ryoma alt lol

Joker’s alts are based on
*SPOILER WARNING*
Default- Joker’s Default Metaverse Outfit
2- The primary color from Revelations: Persona
3- The primary color from Persona 3
4- The primary color from Persona 4
5- The primary color from Persona 5 and Persona 2
6- Based on Goro Akechi’s metaverse outfit before he reveals himself as the true culprit
7- Based on Ren’s (joker is canonically known as Ren in the real world) Winter costume from Shujin Academy
8- Based on Ren’s Summer costume from Shujin Academy
Alts I think he should have
9- An alt based on Morgana’s appearance in the Metaverse, Morgana is at this point the mascot of Persona 5 and I was surprised he didn’t have one based on it
10- An alt based on Ryuji’s appearance appearance in the Metaverse, Ryuji is Joker’s best friend since the first day he transferred to Shujin, I think it would be a relevant pick for that reason, also it could look pretty unique
11- An alt based on Ann’s appearance in the Metaverse, the main reason I picked to base it on Ann is because it could look pretty unique compared to Joker’s other alts
12- An alt based on Futaba’s appearance in the Real World or Metaverse appearance, I can leave you to decide which one should be represented but I personally would pick the Real World appearance because first of all we haven’t given him another Shujin Alt and second I think it would be very unique compared to his other Shujin alts but also the Metaverse appearance would be super unique too so I’ll leave you to decide
Simon could have his Castlevania Judgement colors or the colors of his appearance in Captain N The Game Master

I would have REALLY liked to see an Elma color scheme for Mythra. Maybe paired with a Lin theme for Pyra? But certainly Elma on Mythra
K Rool can have Captain K Rool, Doktor Baron K Roolenstein or K Rool Boxer as alternate costumes
And alternate colors based on Snowmad boss from Tropical Frezze and Tiki Tak masks from Country Returns
An Incineroar alt based on Melmetal or Primarina would be cool. An alt that looks like Elma and Shulk should work for Pyra and Mythra. And a funny one for Joker, would be an alt based on the joker from DC comics.

Another great selection of choices, Siiroth! ^^ It sucks that both Sega, and Namco's mascots have very underwhelming costume options in the Smash series so it's great that Sonic, and Pac-Man are getting the real costume alts they desperately need, and deserve. Also, I had no idea on Ms. Pac-Man still not being included as a character alt, or even a Dash Fighter maybe due to legal issues, that's weird. It is a bit odd of how both the female, and male Wii Fit Trainers share the same, colored uniforms so it's nice to see them each get a different variation. I am pretty disappointed that the male, and Kamuis don't have variations based on the If siblings from Hoshido, and Nohr such as Ryouma, Hinoka, Takumi, Sakura, Marx, Camila, Leon, and Elise, as well as Aqua, they're all very important characters to the game. I mean, there is technically Alph as well, but, unfortunately, he's been reduced to just a character swap for Olimar which is bizarre considering that Lucina, and Black Pit are separate, clone fighters, he really should've been his own separate character with Rock Pikmin, but at least he was shown in the previous new costumes video. It's so annoying that the order of the Koopalings are meant to represent the order of facing them in Super Mario Bros. 3, yet, somehow, Morton, and Roy are swapped, with Roy being 2nd, and Morton being 5th... Granted, this has been an issue since For, but it's disappointing that the order is still incorrect in Special, so, hopefully, by the next Smash game (if there will be, which is extremely likely) this will be resolved, if not, then maybe an update. (Oh, and I'm pretty sure many, if not most people voted for Bayonetta since she was the No. 1 pick in the Smash Ballot, lol, but I digress). Can't wait for Special's new costumes starting with the base roster, which is an interesting change of pace since the Special DLC fighters aren't all yet revealed! :D Oh, and I'd be down of you making a separate video on Koopa Jr. getting his own skin alts along the Koopalings each getting alts of their own. ;)
Isabelle should have a costume (maybe a new render idk) based on her brother digby! I also feel like one based off tom nook and one off resetti would be awesome (Though they are all similar colors of brown so the outfit she wears would probably have to be really different)

The hair colors were added in Ultimate to better reflect the already established references in Smash 4.

Fun Fact: You can actually use this Alt. in the game. It’s not legitimate or official, but it doesn’t involve hacking or mods, either.
Go to your Switch System Settings.
Select System.
Select Change Display Colors.
Select Invert Colors.
It’s cursed, but with every color on the system flipped, PAC-MAN will look like this in Smash.

You didn’t include the KH costume for Cloud to keep up the two costume theme, but you only gave alts to the default appearance
For Byleth, they shouldve had the enlightened one class from the get go as an alt. Also colours based on Jeralt and Rhea for the other 2. Both male and female could have the Enlightened one outfit, male would get jeralt and female would get rhea.
I think a Mii Swordfighter costume resembling the outfit you wear in Swordfighting in Wii Sports Resort would be so cool

Also a Skeleton/Wither Skeleton, it would've made more sense than the Smoll Enderman, although I am still very glad that he exists.
Can we have a Diamond armor Alt for steve. I feel like he needs one. The one most iconic gaming characters with the one most Iconic sets of armor.
For king I rool I know what we need, captain k rool, dr k rool, and wrestler k rool from the donkey kong country games
I’d love to see Incineroar costumes referencing a few of the cat pokemon, but especially Alolan Meowth, considering regional forms started out in Alola, but it is an in universe “alt” as a fun little joke. Overall a lot of importance for the Alola games.
The other one I’d be really interested in is for Piranha Plant (not sure if Piranha Plant will be in the next video or not though), but an alt based on it its appearance as the “Piranha Plorp” in Bowser’s inside story, this gives it an exceptionally unique look being entirely fleshy, and would be all red and pink. Also Plorp is fun to say 😅
would love a sephiroth alt based on his kh appearance to match cloud’s. in addition, having joker have one alt based on every main persona protagonist in the first four games could be cool, and giving banjo a duck hunt alt to return the reference could be cute. i would love to see steve get alternate costumes based on the skeleton and piglin enemies to match the zombie and enderman from the original set.
I'd like to see a Mii Gunner costume of the generic Pigmask grunts from Mother 3.
Chrom could get a look similar to his Great Lord colours in Awakening and a colour scheme based off of Roy since they're Echoes (change Chrom's hair colour too). A Vaike alt could work too with brown boots and gloves, black bottoms, and a white top with blonde hair
Isabelle's most obvious choice could be Tom Nook but her shirt from New Horizons is also a possibility. Or give her a Doomguy helmet thanks to all the memes 🤣
Ken can get a pink Gi to reference Dan Hibiki, a black top with orange bottoms and long hair for his SFV model and for fun how about a more blue costume based off Chun Li since she isnt in the game

Also, it would be cool for Inkling to gain alts with more designs from Splatoon 2, as all the alts were based on the first game. FINALLY, A NEW PART!
I have some suggestions!
Incineroar- Some costumes based on other large cat Pokemon- Snorlax, Purugly, Luxray, and especially Solgaleo.
Dark Samus- I want a somewhat dulled version of the real Samus' colours, but with a purple helmet. This is to reference the true form of the SA-X from Metroid Fusion.
Daisy- She has an alternate costume in Mario Strikers Charged that makes her uniform teal. make her dress that colour.
Richter- A pink Maria alt would be fine.
Piranha Plant- An orange and black alt based on Super Mario World's Pumpkin Plants.

I’d absolutely love it if Richter got the Ike treatment with costumes alternating between his Rondo of Blood look (current Smash look) and his Symphony of the Night design.

I know these are pretty obvious, but I think for Steve's alts, they could get tuxedo Steve and Alex, as well as the skeleton and the villager (I know their arms would need to be separated, but there are a bunch of villager skins in one of the Legacy Console Edition skin packs where their arms are separated). Banjo-Kazooie could also get an alt based on Yooka Lele, since they're their spiritual successor, though that's also an obvious one.
