- In the super smash bros series there are countless ways to take your opponents stock. Some of the most fun though would have to be with the series' big moves. Things like the falcon punch, rest, and so on are all incredibly fun to hit. In super smash bros ultimate several of these big moves got a special property known as the special zoom which makes them more interesting to look at. About 41 moves have this trait so today I thought it would be fun to rank every big move in smash ultimate from the worst to the best!

You wanna know the best part about Falcon Punch? Captain Falcon isn't using magic or any type of pyrokinesis to ignite his fist. He's literally punching so fast that he's creating fire from friction, and the flames just so happen to take the shape of a falcon when he does it.

Falcon Punch really is the ultimate swag move. No armor, nothing combos into it, you just gotta hit it raw. This move is older than me, yet it still never gets old when you hit one.

something to add on about hero's metal slash:
when a hero chooses kaclang (or when there's a metal opponent on the stage at the time), the chance of another hero rolling a metal slash whenever he pops out the menu is quadrupled - meaning anyone who's had a bit of time with hero will avoid kaclang like the plague, making it even more infeasible to use
But there’s always the chance of getting a really unfortunate top deck Kaclang

Fun Fact about Hero’s Whack and Thwack spells: Since they’re dark spells coming from the Whack line of spells, the DQ series describes them as instant kill attacks targeting at the opponent’s heart with fear/despair.
That means Hero is basically giving the characters who get killed by it Fatal Heart Attacks. Which honestly makes it more dark and morbid but in hindsight makes it higher on the list because you can give Pikachu a heart attack and die..
It also means that you can give Mega Man and ROB heart attacks, even though they're robots... sounds about right
So what you’re telling me is Hero is Light Yagami but he doesn’t even need to know anyone’s name, he can just point at someone and tell them to have a heart attack and they do

I love Byleth's down special, it feels so good to land, and even though I have Byleth at 14.2 million GSP, I still hit it every now and then and it feels great, especially when it powers through someone else's move
Warlock Punch is far more hype than Volcano Kick. I dont think ive ever seen anyone talk about that move in months, but Warlock Punch is the star of every ganon compilation

My favourite one is using the Dedede Jump and spiking people with it, or the Down Special. Doesn’t work all the time, but when it does, BOY is it satisfying.
How about if Odyssey make a video fix all or some Alternate costumes that f smash bros to bring back fire Mario black Yoshi or white Yoshi who Ash’s Pikachu wearing the hat Gooigi and Mr L
as a puff player I 1000% agree with the placement of rest. ofc the top 2 are so iconic that they deserve to be there, but no matter how many times I hit raw rest I still get excited.

As A Game and Watch main, I think that Oil panic is better because you can control it more other than Judge. Because with Judge, its so luck dependent and I guess you can say the same thing with Oil panic because of what type of fighters the game gives you. But with Oil panic, you have a higher chance of using it because the fighter (Depends on who they play and wat they use) may use some required moves that they must or most likely use in a fight that Mr. Game and Watch can absorb. So what I'm saying is that Oil panic is technically better to use and as a move on its own. I do however think Judge is a more satisfying move because of how hard it is to use. If you actually kill with that move then that is one big stroke of luck which for a placement like 2nd, how hard it is to use and how satisfying it is definitely deserves that spot but I think that the overall better move is Oil panic.
Don't take this comment as a complaint I'm just sharing my opinions and I liked listening to yours too. I really enjoyed the video and I cannot wait for that 200k special.
Also Mr. Game and Watch isn't lame he is cool for being flat and the oldest character in smash.

I’m a Ridley main, and my opinion on his down B is that It’s extremely hype to hit sometimes, and if you’re playing against people like my siblings that are bad at the game, it can allow for some easy wins. But, I have one problem with the move, and sadly, I think it’s a pretty big one. It does NOTHING to shields. That’s why I said it against people that are bad. A lot of the time, this move is only worth going for against people that always forget about shielding. I still love the move, but it is a pretty big flaw.

Falcon Punch is much worse than many of the other big moves but that makes it better because when you hit it you feel way more awesome.
My favorites: Donkey Kong neutral special, Ridley down special, home run bat, Ganondorf neutral special, Kirby side special

All the satisfaction from landing Ganan's Volcano Kick comes from the relief of panicking, because you accidentally used it.
Also, Falcon Punch is so iconic that even people who have never played Smash know about it.

The damage multiplier of revenge has a minimum boost of 1.5x, and is increased by adding on 0.075x the damage of the attack the was countered by revenge for those wondering the damage boost of revenge

17:00 this MIGHT be Ganondorf’s worst move just because of how slow and punishable it is, but it is also one of the best that fits his character well, thank goodness, another thing to differentiate him from Falcon, bc ik a lot of people still hate his moves in Ultimate but that move very well spells Ganon
5:15 To clear up any confusion, the hit sounds here are coming from the hero getting hit, not from the hero dealing the damage, because when a critical hit strikes another hero, the sound that plays is the sound from the hero getting hit.

For some reason the presence of hero breaks my capture card. This only happen to certain things like Hero and the bones that Dry bones can throw in super Mario world. I’m not sure how to fix it

9:50 My friend is an Incineroar main. Here’s the common experience (I play Joker btw)
- I work hard to hit my friend with difficult combos, and it takes me a lot of hits to get him to around 50%
- I use my neutral special for ranged pressure and he triggers revenge
- He hits me with Alolan Whip and deals the same damage to me with one hit that I dealt to him with many hits
I mean, I guess that’s just the grappler experience.

Mannn I agree with most of this list except for lucario force palm. That’s like top 3 for me. Grabbing your opponent by the collar and basically shooting them in the face feels so cold, like such overkill. And plus, even when you miss your opponent still sees the big ass flare that they barely avoided being beamed straight into their skull
My favourite zoom in is Limit Climhazard when it's used on someone's last stock at kill percent. You get the blue zoom in stab and the the rising red kill screen before carrying the opponent up to their defeat.

the wind box messes with some recoveries as well like bayo trying to line up side b to ledge or if the windbox touches terry offstage during power dunk, he'll be pulled so far under the stage that he can't make it back. It also triggers tnt pressure plate

I think K.O. Punch should be higher, Falcon Punch looks like that now because it took its Slow Down Impact and Sound Effect from K.O. Punch, A lot of these moves did actually.
Also I like the slow down when using Mac’s forward Smash Armor, nothing is more Hype then getting hit by any of these big move and powering through it with your own unflinching punch, no magic, no weapons, just Little Mac’s sheer willpower!
Smal thing, Warlock punch has Unbreakable super armour(only if you START IT on the ground).

Personally I would’ve ranked hero critical up smash higher than his other smash attacks.
As you pointed out, the hitbox is tiny meaning you’ll rarely hit it unless someone’s directly above you but the real challenge is landing it with psyche up active because the buff goes away from one physical hit and there’s very few ways to confirm into up smash. Combine this with oomph and you got yourself a crunchy ass move. It’s basically a one hit kill.
I don't think Falcon Punch is a cop out at all. It's one of the most iconic moves in all of gaming for a reason.

Biased since I'm an Incineroar main, but I think his moves should have been separated (Hero got his crits seperated too!)
His F-Smash on the sweetspot with revenge is sooo satisfying. Alolan whip is always fun to land and Incineroar taunting after the zoom is sooo funny and landing Cross Chop on the landing is awesome as well. Lumping them in with the Up and Down smash is unfair!
Might I suggest a revision, you should mention Ike’s eruption using the tipper hitbox at ledge kills off the top of the screen, always *hella* satisfying
Ermm...if you dont fully charge either flare blade, but charge just enough, you still get the blue effect, so erm, thats an L for you! 🤓
So the way little Mac’s crits work is when he uses a smash attack if he gets hit when he has his super armor then it crits
Kirby hammer has super armor (not much however), but only when it's charged and he uses it while on the ground.

Actually I wonder if would be possible to replicate Aymr's mechanic. In Three Houses when used by the intended user (Edelgard) you get access to a Combat Art named Raging Storm which not only deals massive damage but also allows Edelgard to act after it which is broken. To make things better/worse it can be used constantly as long as Aymr is at least 4 durability and an enemy is in range. They could also add Edelgard as a playable axe fighter in Smash, that could spice things up
