Evidence-based Medicine: Past, Present and Future Role in Research, Education, Clinical Care

Dr. Gordon Guyatt is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, McMaster University. In 1990, he coined the term “evidence-based medicine” and since that time has been a leading advocate of evidence-based approaches to clinical care. His work has been recognized in his appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada and the 2013 Canadian Institute of Health Research Researcher of the Year.
