Damn thanks for this comment. Haven't used plastidip in a long time. First time hearing of a glossifier..is it a last couple coats or..? I remember trying to paint these black vents In a 94 Honda del sol in the lime green plastidip. It always looked like a green goo on the inside...id be rolling around delivering pizzas then going home and spraying my vents in plastidip..man..😂. That shit was wild though. It was red with lime green running lights. Was like a cherry limeade at midnight..lol..now that I know I should have painted them white or something first..Great video again man..
@@dasher-yk7br Yeah you just do it last after the plastidip color has dried. You can do as many coats as you want but I usually do 2 or 3. Honestly after doing my emblems I wish I had just ordered the covers off aliexpress. It looks ok with the plastidip but you will have to respray it probably a couple of times a year to keep it looking decent.
Thanks for this video. I needed some reassurance from someone while showing the process, not just a youtube short video that has been sped up. Thanks again. Here goes nothing!
That Toyota T is going to be a struggle with those small ovals. hopefully I get it done the first time right. I'm doing the rear on a 2016. The 2016 front emblem is a clip-on so that one was easy. Thanks for the video
just Plasti dipped my car & I definitely should of watched this before doing it haha I removed all the tape bout 30 minutes after applying & kept respraying the chipped parts 😂😂 ay but when I do my brothers car, should come out cleaner thanks 🙏🏽
It stays on pretty well, my car's bumper is plastidipped and it still holding on for 2 years, even with snowy/salty roads (I live in NE ohio) it doesn't peel at all
It doesn’t last forever, though I would say you’re gonna see some changes roughly 5 years depending on how well of a preparation you do some people say using primer before you do it but either way it’s a temporary thing

im 16 and just bought my first car, thank you for this video.
Congratulations! Hard work pays off. Keep it up!!!
Heck ya. Congrats
Awesome youngun! I'm 4 times you age and just used plasti dip for the first time too. Good luck with your ride and keep on rockin!
Thats awesome congratulations!
Thanks for the quick to the point tutorial!
Most excellent. As a Home Depot associate, I heartily endorse this excellent video. Purchase more Plasti Dip at Home Depot today!
That's right!
Thank you for the simple video. It's appreciated lol
You can also add the plasti dip glossifier, basically a clear coat thats peelable.
Yep!

Love the Casio calculator watch!
Very nice explanation
Will this outlast a car wash

Great staff😊 how long does it last?
I did this on my last car and it lasted 4 years before I sold it.
Helped lots thanks
I got you

this is so sick! thank you 🙏🏽
You're Welcome!
How long it last? Does it come off with washing?
I’ve read some people saying it’s lasts years. Imma go pick some up today to try out
I want to redo my emblems as I'm seeing some peeling. Do I need to peel off the old or can I plastidip over it? Probably a stupid question.
Yes. Start fresh. Clean with rubbing alcohol. Put on 5 or more coats, let dry 15 mins in between
Thanks!!
No problem!
Thanks im going to do it this weekend..I almost bought and emblem lol
Nice
How long is the wait until you completely remove the coat?
It says on the back of the can.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!!!

Would this be ok on 10 year old car and not peel any paint?
How much of the can did you use?
Very little, you'll have enough for several cars
Would that 1 can be enough to do more badges?
Yep!
plenty
Awesome video! How's it holding up to car washes, especially with a pressure washer?
It's good. Holds up great over time.
Thanks for this question , I was wondering myself.✌🏾
How long is the wait between each coat ????
It says on the back of the can.
WIll it stay there after the car wash?
THIS is my biggest question too. I pressure wash every couple of weeks. Worried this will just peel off.
great video! Does rinseless washing peel off or degrade the plasti-dip?
Nope!
It has been awhile. What have you two been up to?
NOICE 🍺
How does it hold up to car washes? If it's so easy to peel off with your fingers does it come off when going through a car wash?
Nope holds up very well for years’
To make it even stronger get imo after color use the plasti dip clear coat
What joshy said :)
I dipped my jeep wheels (3 coats) 10 years ago and driven 300k miles on/off road and it's still on there.
I wonder if it's going to stay on when you run through a car wash.
It stays on pretty well, my car's bumper is plastidipped and it still holding on for 2 years, even with snowy/salty roads (I live in NE ohio) it doesn't peel at all
I am totally doing this to my new 2024 honda crv touring my day off
Hope it turns our great
Are all car hoods metal? May be a dumb question
I'd say yes!?
will it come off when i wash my car ?
nah
Nop

I'm interested in using this product but how as it held up over time ?
It's been almost a year. It's help up perfect.

it's been a few years now and it's stuck to the car quite well, if someone doesn't spray it too hard, it'll stick ;D
So you dont need primer ...?
Correct
On my Merc badge it didn't cut nicely and tore😕
I'm sorry. How many coats did you do?
@@Ben_LandI did about 4, do you leave it for 4 hrs before removing it??
You look like the flash
I've heard this before
Using microfiber you'll have less of a chance to scratch the paint than with paper towels.
Barry Allen?!!!
That's me :)
