As much as I like Tavarish rightly repairing a car to brand new condition, it's really wholesome to see Uncle Rich keeping the build budget friendly.

I love the random next level humor in Rich's videos. Nobody does it better. He only bought that particular McLaren because it's already primer gray so he doesn't have to wrap it.
This episode was a blast from the past. It was nice to see just about everyone, including Stevon. The only person missing was Lee and squarespace. I remember when it was just you working on the cars. Now you have a whole team and a half. I wonder what your staff meetings are like? Going over video ideas, and who's gonna show up in which video. How many jokes on Leenda. I'm sure it takes a ton of prep. Keep up the great work.

@@mathiasnkristensen lots of speculation, but the only thing clear is that he's taking a break from the channel after the accident with the race car in late Feb/early March - crashed a non street legal vehicle into another car with passengers, while there likely was no insurance on the race car. Some say there's a lawsuit...but I haven't seen any actual confirmation of that. There definitely could have been some legal repercussions for what happened, but I don't see anything when searching for it 🤷♂️

@@drwheycooler8423no serious armed security would carry a pistol caliber carbine with shitty drum magazines, or a sidearm with stendoclips, either. Specifically, if yer gonna carry a long gun, a pcc is stupid when an off the shelf 5.56 AR would outperform it seven out seven days.

Rich is a bit of lightweight for binning that caliper if you ask me. Calipers are hard to break. If it's still working then it's probably fine and bit of paint would be all that's needed. You could paint some crack-finder on it if you wanted to be sure.

If JB Weld is really bothering you, cut a piece of sheet metal to fit in the open area of that broken bracket, drill some holes, and just through-bolt it on there. You can still put some JB Weld in the crack and behind it for extra rigidity, but the sheet metal through-bolted on either side of it would be more then enough for an airbox.
It looked like boarder patrol with the guns. What boarder they are guarding, we will never know. I wonder how many pills they took for the car?😅😂 You've obviously had this for a while. Not so long ago cuz Freddy already blew up his McLaren but long enough that Stev-on is still around. I miss him when he was in that tiny electric car and jazzercising during his stops to. Charge the cordless drill batteries. Ahhhh those were the days. But Rich this looks like an epic rebuild and I'm all in!

I would clear the insurance first, before I would start working/spending on this car.
Seems like all that would have had to be settled before the car could be sold. If it was repossessed by the bank, what would the insurance have to do with it? Just another repossessed vehicle, sold by the bank.
