Most TH-camrs would have strung us along for 10 episodes. Hats off to you Matt and the team. Incredible 40 minutes!!!!

You say that like Matt doesn't have a few builds that are longer than 10 episodes 🤣🤣
@martmeister you should ask him
Just look at Mat Armstrong 2, he made more than 10 episodes for the porsche
Fixing a car in 24 hrs is just clickbait.
Your dad is an absolute gem, the patience is clearly through the roof 🇨🇦
The Porsche is also an absolute gem.

What the fock
The difference a supportive Father makes to a sons life is amazing to watch. Mat's dad is the true star.
Sometimes I really think Mat's father is younger than his own son.😂
Dude I love his dad he’s so smiley! 😆
Definitely, what a head start for a son in life to have a positive male role model in their life, the stats are mind blowing for boys growing up without a father and getting in trouble
Amen
I literally was thinking that before I even saw this comment lol smh
33:08 I'm German and we don't call it a lid, but also a bonnet. The Porsche has a rear engine, so the bonnet would be at the back. If I'm right, the space in the front is for the luggage. In German you can also say to a tailgate (translated word-for-word and then it becomes understandable): Suitcase space lid -> Kofferraumdeckel 😊

Happy New Year. Glad to see you got a GT3 again. And yes…you have to drive a Porsche to truly appreciate it. I wasn’t into them until I drove one.
There’s no going back once you’ve driven one.
Let me say this: Porsche are the ugliest overrated car brand there is.
@@SRNAR8clearly never driven one😂
@@SRNAR8 just say that you can't afford them 💀
@@SRNAR8I smell something green. I think it might be envy. Most people who don’t even care about cars knows the shape of a 911. They’re so ugly that we’re onto the third generation of humans who want one.
As for overrated, even the most basic 911 these days has high 300s horsepower. That’s tasty as a shopping trolley. Get an S and you’re well above Audi RS3 power in a car of similar weight. I love the RS3: having owned two S3s, I’m definitely looking to get one, that or a Mercedes A45S AMG😘 I’ve looked at optioned new ones and you’re getting close to a decent 911, provided you’re prepared to accept a few years of age. Not yet decided. All three choices are mouthwatering. One problem is that strictly, I don’t need a car & secure parking will consume half my workshop.
I just watched three hours four hours of the Porsche GT three Adams crash. I’ve never seen this challenge for I couldn’t stop watching it. I loved Freddy. I can’t remember the hosts name. Damn I’m gonna watch more of this. I wanna see him build the exact same one, but in Europe, I hope he gets ready up there. Thank you so much for that entertainment Matt from Nashua New Hampshire.
I’m no mechanic but this channel is outstanding food for the soul. The team’s positivity, regardless of crisis, is something we can all learn from (especially us Brits), and I truly admire the ambition and skills on display. Phenomenal content and what a spectacular GT3 you can be proud of.
Ban coming your way . . . hopefully!
The amount of confidence Mat's father have gained through the years on this channel is just heart warming. Lovely to see and once again a great episode 👏🏻
Very good point. Last one I chimed in for was the M5 and his Dad was much more subdued. He’s a new man. Go him!
Its really fun to see and I honestly envy the father-son relationship :)

I was about to say that I lost my dad three years ago on New Year’s Eve, 11 days before his 60th birthday. One of the most precious moments I have of him and I was repairing my Infiniti G35x after it got into an accident in our back yard. Which was a dope experience and I wish I could do it again. Also one of the last videos I have of him and I. God bless Matt and his dad. Much love guys.
I love your dad. He has amazing energy, and its so cool that he gets to be a part of your journey. Great video!
just a heads up, you shouldn't use your torque wrench to loosen things. Just get yourself a long breaker bar to use to remove them otherwise your going to eventually ruin your torque wrench by using it as a breaker bar and it wont properly torque fasteners anymore it'll be off.
Indeed, good advice!
@@MrChielo007 thanks. Glad it didn't come through negative. I was just thinking, maybe he didn't know. I didn't myself until a couple years ago when the actual tool rep was telling me about it and how he's always having guys ask him to send theirs in for recalibration. It's apparently a pain, because it's gotta get sent back to the manufacturer for what would basically be final quality control on the initial assembly, or so he was explaining. Normally, that's something that would have to be done after years of daily "proper" use. Or 6-12 months of abuse 😅. although it should be noted newer nicer ones are pretty robust and can handle Alot of abuse compared to older designs or cheaper models. He could have gotten a breakerbar like I mentioned, or even just a big, cheap, half inch rachet and pipe. I can't imagine how much that tool was it would be a shame to hurt it unintentionally I was thinking
I didn't know that but makes sense now you say it! Glad i haven't run into any problems using it as a breaker yet but i will definitely stop doing that now, thanks!

@@IsaacandadlerI agree. I suppose it’s clickbait & in the end, these kinds of content are only earners if a LOT of people watch them.
Truth be told, I love what Mat’s accomplished, but I’ve pretty much exhausted the format. I don’t want to watch him repair & mod high end cars. It also becomes an unwinnable game of top trumping himself. Where do you go once you’ve repaired two Coparts GT3s? A crashed Merc SL63, pretty please? I saw a brand new one, a convertible, in egg yolk yellow and black, in Tenerife. Looked awesome. Sounds even better. What a daft car though. There’s almost no storage in one of these.

All this brings back memories, i once worked as a body fitter in a garage, removing the damage and refit once panel beaters and painters did their work. Would recommend using a breaker bar instead of a torque wrench to remove the wheels in order to preserve the calibration of your torque wrench
The centre lock needs some ridiculous torque, IIRC 800 nm so that oversized torque wrench might very well be rated for that
It’s perfectly fine for torquing the wheel bolts, just don’t use a torque wrench for removing them. As you can see he is over torquing the tool (you can hear the click) which isn’t good for the tool.

You cannot buy taste with money :(
Happy New Year Matt! I started watching you a couple years ago and in that time you have come from a kid who leaned heavily into his Dad for help to a man who pulls his own weight. Even Valvoline could see the value in partnering with your channel. If you were going to pick a partner you probably picked a good one their products are definitely top shelf. I can’t wait to see what you do in the year to come. ❤
These are the vids I love i love for these 24 hour vids. Happy new year Mat. Cheers to 2024 and to a year full of new vids and new memories ❤

Happy new Year everyone. Thank you Mat for bring so many joy and hope on all the things you do
The energy you two trade between you will have you both youngsters forever.
I love your videos. I used to always bring my dad with me when i went to buy cars. Pretty soon he was going with my friends and eventually bought a couple "enthusisat cars" cars himself and came to meets in his 60s. He was a Grade 5 teacher and I was a hvac tech. I used a company truck cmduring the week so he always drove my cars to his classes and the students loved him.😂 i still have his z3 track car he never finished, but this will be the year.
No other youtuber would have made this one episode lol love the amount of progress you make with each upload. It is refreshing. Get what you need and then enjoy that thing!
What Westin Chaplin?
@@Legend-lc9bv I watch his stuff too. He does the opposite tho, he finished a car in one video because he barely documents anything done to it lol this is like the opposite.
