Seeing you so happy driving reminds me of a quote: "When things are going sweetly and peacefully, please pause a moment, and then say out loud, “If this isn’t nice, what is?”" - Kurt Vonnegut
This Cappuccino brings me pure Joy
@Waybeforethefame It's like your baby now, you should keep it
Definitely keep the Cappuccino 👍
Going to be hard to let it go
@Waybeforethefame if it was a 100k car then yeah I'd understand getting rid of it, but it's not. Instead it's cool AF, unique AF and relatively cheap. Best kei car ever made for so many reasons.
love the car mate, no joke stumbled across your episode 1 late last night and was in bed watching all of the rest of them until like 4 am. really wanna pick up a Cap myself sometime, im looking to go smaller than my MKV GTI.
Appreciate it bro yeah it’s been hell of a journey, from Hawaii to LA to NYC. There’s a bunch of cool kei hot hatches if you wanna stay in that realm too
Sometimes, pre-OBD cars have check engine lights as a reminder for certain mileage based services. Without a reset function the only way to shut it off is to remove the bulb. It's great to see you enjoying the Cap and keep up the great content ✌️
I’ll look into that too
lol so you’re saying the light would come on at like 5k miles to remind you to change the oil and then it would stay on for the rest of the life on the car? Definitely not correct
@yamkaw346 No it comes on once at something like 50k for timing belt replacement. As I said pre-OBD, that's the time of dumb ECUs. Some had flashing LEDs to give a code others did not. I'm not going to argue further, Google it if you don't understand.
Huge differences because they were saying they're rated at 63hp but they really didn't. Many people have dynoed stock F6A cars putting down low 70s at the wheels which means it's really 80ish at the cranks
Gentlemen's agreement lol
@@Waybeforethefame somebody is always cheating. Even when it's written rules... 😆
The 550cc F5A was rated at 63hp when they stroked it to 660 to make it the F6A and it retained the 63hp rating. That's sus.
Current paint on the not Rusty keeper looks like a Lady Bug you better keep that spare cappuccino so that you have a replacement engine
I work near Crown Speed Lab, I drive past all the time. I’m in Nassau but I’m very familiar with the area. I’ve got an NA miata I’m K24a2 swapping and looking forward to this summer car season. You ever at the Little Bay Park meets?
DAM KSwapped Miata and nah I don't think ive ever been to those meets, sometimes driving to deep Long Island isnt always worth it for me
@@Waybeforethefame Little Bay Park is on the water there in Queens near the Throgsneck Bridge.
I know this is random but I'm desperate. My subaru Domingo clutch went out, do you know a shop in the Dallas Texas area that can work on it?
I hope it’s not automatic 😞
@@Waybeforethefame no it's manual
The large bags are different from each other. I couldn't find any exact info, but I always put the painted side towards the foam blocks on the inside of the bag to help protect the paint/metal.
Not sure on the N1 ecu, but the N2 DOES require different injectors. Thay could be the cause of the check engine. There should be a plug under the hood that you jumper two pins and count the flashes of the CEL to get diagnostic codes.
From what I know the N1 is just plug and play no need for anything but colder injectors which ive done
I did a labour weekend trip with the roof, all my luggage, jacket, spare shoes, laptop, book and the stuff I bought there in the back. There _is_ room in that trunk.
And a passenger???
@@Waybeforethefame I was on my own, but free to park up anywhere without the roof as all my stuff was locked up.
In the seventy's Mercury shipped in the Capri, originally made by Ford of Germany. It came with a 2.6 and 2.8L V6. The V6 was a 60 deg Vee engine, very narrow. In Germany, Ford made a V4 cyl. from the same block. It would fit in that engine bay just fine. Plenty of racing goodies in Europe.
probably weights too much but that would be a crazy swap lol
Are you also gonna wrap the capp like you did with the beat??
Also, im gonna be sad to see the capp go when youre done with it. Definitely my favorite in the cars you've owned.
I hope I could get one in the future even though they are about 14k to 18k USD in my country :/
Peace bro
The cappuccino paint is perfect no need to wrap it and what if you import it
@@Waybeforethefame oh okay!
Unfortunately, importing right hand drive is illegal in the Philippines 🥲
Plus, im still in school and have no money. Only thing I can do now is hope that by the time I get a job, right hand drive cars would be legal here
(I dont know how a capp made its way here since as far as I know, there are no left hand drive cappuccinos)
Just bought a Cappuccino a couple days ago , do you have a link for where you got that radio head unit and speakers??
th-cam.com/video/Ufs3PzOPuZc/w-d-xo.html, rear speakers are Pioneer TS-X200
@@Waybeforethefame thank you 🫡
Love that thing :)
SAME
I'm always in Targa mode. Always, even if it starts raining while I'm driving 😆
Targa is probably the best lol
Going to pick up my beat next week. What do I do about insurance as in.. do I need special insurance or just insure and reg as a classic? New to kei cars so I'm learning as I go. Thanks in advance
Just know insuring it is going to suck. I’ve insured 4 Kei vehicles and 7 Japanese imports and each time used a different insurance company. Every single company has had bad employees, I get on the phone to try and set it up and I could hear them audibly cursing about how I am a bitch for not owning a normal car. But once it’s insured it’s fine. Just stay away from state farm because they will make it a pain to insure
Hagerty might be your best choice. That's what i got on my Beat.
yeah if you have a daily Hagerty is your best bet
@@Waybeforethefame previously registered and insured in NY so I was thinking it would be easier. ??
@@Waybeforethefameso if I don't have a second vehicle insured they won't??
Here is a Wikipedia link for the Ford V4 if you're curious:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Essex_V4_engine
I had a Capri with the 2.8L, Weber carb, headers, Dolbi Entouro cam. The car weighed in at 2,400 lbs. With a camshaft that had a power range of 2k-7k that pulled harder the higher it climbed the rpms it was a lot of fun. I'd run dead even with Chevy's and Fords. Even the 85' Fox body Mustang (Brand new car at the time). Later in life, I scoped out the Miata. That V6 would fit.
Another thought, Miata 1.5L? They scream in the high rpms.
Anyways, take care brother.
Wanna sell one of the etc reader's?
I gotta get more I have 6 and sold them all for 50 shipped same day
Keep me posted I need one for the beat.
Uhh where's the Hayabusa Engine swap video?
my capp already goes 100MPH without the swap lol
Sit on it, do the kei truck food truck build instead next. Enjoy the cappo and wait on the perfect one, not the right now one.
Im wonder if a food kei truck is better than a Daihatsu Mira
Waffles and Cappuccino is what you have cookin'. You need a weeinie wagon. Or dump the Z
im tryna get a Mira Walkthough and do just that!
THESE CARS ARE FUN, IF YOU HAVE THE BODY OF A 12 YR OLD, MINITURE! I KNOW IM 6'6 N OWNED A HONDA TRUCK IN .. '68
Guess being tall isn't all that after all
How much would you pay that would be reasonable for one of these
A normal cappuccino that is not like mine and stock. I would pay around 10k in America or around 7k shipped
@@Waybeforethefame I currently live in Japan right now so I’m curious if I should buy one . I got me a jimny .. but I feel like it’s really lacking in power tbh
@@JustCreateYou yeah the jimny isnt great on the highway, capp is better
@@Waybeforethefame it isn’t great on the state highway? Is it because it’s slow ?
@@JustCreateYou yeah the old jimny kei cars are not geared for the highway and slow
1st 55kmh
2nd 90kmh
3rd 120kmh
5th cruising
Who needs 4th?
Wow that’s for the info!
Slater (if that's how you spell his name) might cry if you sell that thing
I know lol but thats bot happening anytime soon or maybe ever
getting new injectors will be the best, 30 yr old un serviced injectors
new injectors and a new fuel pump from deatschwerks
I don't really need either not tryna run super rich lol
@@Waybeforethefame its not about running rich, its about old parts. Using higher end performace parts understressed means they will last longer. Going for newer spray patterns than old tech could improve fuel combustion thus improving power. Im assuming the old injectors are a 1 pot injector as to newer ones are 4-5 pot or sprayers. Allowing better atomization with smaller sprayers and more of them. Also just want u to drop the tank and clean it later 🤣 im sure no one has replaced the fuel sock.
Thirdly 😂
LOL
Love full convertible mode. Sounds great NO NO NO to 3 spokes. Did you see ANY 3 spoke wheels in this video? No? Can you guess why? BECAUSE THEY BECAME UNCOOL BACK WHEN DONNIE OSMAND WAS MAKING RECORDS. STOP! You wouldn't wear orange Crocs? Your car would be embarassed to be seen with three spokes. This ain't 1979, and you aren't driving a Mustang.
Maybe you’ll change your mind after there on the cappuccino lol
