Great video, i am recently using playseat trophy second hand for only 275 $ and I am loving it, you have to spend some time for adjustmens of straps later it pays back. Greetings
Slot covers prevent dust from accumulating. I will have to look into getting some of those. - You should not rule out also testing more expensive gear, even there might be limited market. It’s always interesting to see what kind of step up someone could do from current setups. Perhaps manufacturers can provide test samples down the line. We will see. - Anyways: Happy New Year also here, and all the best for your adventures that you intend to experience in 2025.
Absolutely and it looks nice too 😏 no its true I shouldn't rule out but... Well... it gets much more complicated with those more expensive rigs added to really pick a best, especially because I really have budget as an important kpi. Perhaps I'll find a way to correctly grade them if I think a bit about it. Anyways... thats for 2025 😎 I hope you celebrated well... my parents stuffed me again like a turkey today 🤭
I'm really surprised TR canceled their TR80 lite. With that TR40, is there any lateral wobble in the uprights due to not having more than just 40mm of base support?
Unfortunately I have been quite busy and haven't been able to do proper testing but for what I can see at this moment, the wobble is very very limited much to my surprise. Only thing I can tell for sure is that it probably will not be suited for a motion platform.
But what about people that are short for space? I mean if I wouldn't have had half my garage, I would only have my living area to put a rig and then I wouldn't have the chance to opt for anything else than a foldable rig.
@@SimulatedDrivingResource Honestly for me Sim racing is not about compromising .I tried starting off with a wheel stand and soon as I set it up I knew I had to get a cockpit .Now the lounge of my 1 bed flat has o 50 in tv one side of the room and my GT Omega prime and 48 in 4k monitor on the other and work round it lol
I understand and don't get me wrong. I would also recommend for those who have the space, budget and drive a few hours in the week to get a full rig as it enhances the experience.

I would advise anyone to avoid wheel stands and foldable rigs .Playseat GT Omega and NLR do rigs for most budgets
The price of transport and and the tax for administration, could be a nightmare, depending on the country
