@JakeVeryJake don’t have a comparison but my experience is awesome. Also with the performance kit, clutch and formula wheel mod there are great „lower budget“ solutions to improve performance
@@fubokuen yes. i am new to simracing but actually my impression is consoles have too many downsides when it comes to simracing to begin with. No wide aspect ratio monitors, no triples possible, limited amount of games and very limited options on equipment.
I've just finnished my racing sim rig a week ago. It was a little bit more expensive than $500. Moza R9 weelbase Moza ES wheel + ES12" mod Moza SR-P pedals + the brake performance kit Moza HBP handbrake Moza SGP shifter Trak Racer TR8 Pro cockpit with recliner seat and integrated monitor mount MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor And the PC Total cost: just around $5000. Next on the list is a GT wheel.
Dont forget abaout the new Moza R3 Bundle PC Edition. It comes with the ES wheel rather than the ESX Wheel so there is no Xbox Compatibility and its $299.
Fanatec CSL DD was my pick. It's cheaper than the Moza R5, and allows you to easily upgrade to 8NM and load cell. The main drawbacks of Fanatec were the quick release and the company bankruptcy, but both issues have been resolved. The QR2 is very good and Corsair is now in charge. Finally the Fanatec allows you to pick a round wheel with the bundle while the Moza R5 bundle only comes with a d-shaped wheel. Round wheels are more versatile as they are also good for rally and drift.
Also a must for fully getting oval racing (especially Dirt - in a league I'm in we tried to do a side dirt oval series and had to stop because half the field had D shaped/F1 style wheels so couldn't do it). I'm slightly biased in that the CSLDD is my third wheel and the others I've had (Driving Force GT, T300RS) were round wheels so I'm simply used to it but I think if you are only going to have some wheel I'd go for it. I will probably get an F1-style rim at some point just because but the round one works perfectly at the moment
I have a PS GT DD Pro and I got the bundle last year before they got bought out by Corsair for $ $600 and went to home depot and bought a 5$ spring and modded the brake. It reacts like a load cell. 👍 With out spending a ton of cash on the upgrade.
Not a bundle but this could be a good set for under 500 cammus c5 - 280 (wheel + clamp only, not the pedals) - peak 7nm direct drive, I currently have it and it feels great. Simjack ut pedals - 140 usd (2 pedal set) or 160 (3 pedal set), a heusinkveld knockoff, it's good quality, has a 200kg load cell capacity in total 420-440 usd w/o tax
Fanatec really need to adjust the PS version. The PS chip can’t be that expensive. A basic PS base equivalent of the R2R bundle without the GT7 wheel should be plenty doable for $100 more so $499. Maybe $599 if you want the GT7 wheel
I don't care what people say about the Turtle Beach setup. I have it and I think it's great value. I have the whole button box programed to AC content manager and it's a joy to use. Could it be better? yeah... but for the money it's fantastic. All my friends that have sim setups... it holds up well for the money. Getting knocked for "trying to hard and providing more" is bogus.
Great video I have a friend and his boy has a PS3 what wheel combo would be good for his console. I am also looking at getting a setup for my ps5 saving up money for one of them on ur video…
@@jekaufo amazon in germany, also caseking have them. they go for 260 euros. built qualitywise and torque is much better than any other product in this range.
Spotted a T248 in the intro. Has anyone had one fmof those last more than 6 months? I had good luck with the t300 I used to have, and on MOZA now. But I have only ever seen dead t248's lol
Will there ever be a wheel that works on Series X and PS5 at the same time? That's all I want, I don't care how much it costs! I am so tired of having to swap wheels when I want to play the other console. And yes, I already have a Drivehub and it sucks because it lowers feedback and increases deadzone.
Yes! It's because for the Playstation compatibility, there is a chip inside the base. For Xbox compatibility, it's a chip inside the wheel. So if you pair up the PS Fanatec base with the Xbox Fanatec wheel, it should work on both!
@@TraxionGG Got it! So always buy the PS base. Do ALL Fanatec pedals work with this base and consoles? Does loadcell work with consoles and how do you adjust those? I've only used G29/G920 so this is a whole new world to me. Your videos have been FANTASTIC and the best I have found on TH-cam.
Is the Camus Axial Drive like the Thrustmaster. Its shape would imply it might be. Thrustmaster have made a big deal about Axial drive so would be interesting to known if Cammus got there first.
No it’s not axial drive. It is a traditional DD drive but the strator and magnets are flipped(magnets are on the outside). So it is a similar shape but it’s still a traditional design.
@@TraxionGG copy that. Though the c5 is easily better and has more torque than csl dd and r5. The c5 feels even stronger than the csl dd with 8nm boostkit, so it could have been in this video. With pedals like the new simagic p500 or the cammus lc pedals, you got something quite good for under 500€.
pxn v12 lite is a good one to look at right now i have one my self the one bad is the software its sucks a bit but it clean i have only had mine for a week now but so far so good
WHY ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS NOW I WONT HAVE TIME TO BUY ONE NOOOOO (also btw could you do a sim racing rig for under $1000 CAD and also best seats for under 500-600 or something ❤)
If your gonna mention and/or talk about wheels and bases etc that arent even in the budget, might aswell put the price on the screen. Edit: i see your doing that exactly after i took my time to comment. Around the 8 min mark or so. Thanks for listening! Haha
I picked up all my stuff during Black Friday. Sure, I had to spend a little more than $500 but this setup is MILES better than the R5 bundle. Moza R9 base = $370 Moza table clamp = $50 Moza ESX wheel = $120 Fanatec CSL pedals = $50 (FB Marketplace) Fanatec LC upgrade = $140 Total = $730
@SnakezF1 Sometimes u have 100$ more, sometimes not. Overall experience is good. The sky is the limit, but if u spent 1000$ for a wheel and u have no proper chair, u will be all over the place trying to hold yourself in the right position.
Being on console and being a massive racing fan is just so disheartening personally. There's so little and what's there seem to be nothing in comparison to PC. I race on a Spider 458 belt fed wheel so it's 100 quid with no FFB and I have a blast. Tried to get the fanatec one but it's out of stock everywhere. Real shame on xbox and even the moza r3 comes across so weak. Just my 2 cents.
The moza r5 bundle is the best wheel for $500
I agree!

TGT2 over t598 allday everyday, at least currently especially for gt7..yes its belt driven and abit expensive but with gt7 there is no better wheel.

No Cammus? One of the best DD on the cheap brands. C5, C12, and DDWB 15Nm are great choices and they have a set of entry level pedals.
Yeah but their wheels are ugly and it’s nice having wheels to swap out where as with them can u even use a formula style rim?
