Thank you for the insightful review, Karl! We appreciate your hard work and providing an in-depth review for the community!
My pleasure!
is it posseble to mount some better seat from your company on this rig latter?
👋
Ive bought 3 NLR rigs (currently a GT Elite). They are all great value for money, but what has earned my loyalty is the amazing after-sales experience.
Thats great feedback to hear mate!
Thank you for the great feedback! We pride ourselves on providing the best guest experience.
@@NextLevelRacing You are very welcome. NLR have listened to my feedback and promised to implement improvements on the wheelplate of the GT Elite. The early production model I received did not have mount holes for the newly-released Logitech G Pro, but NLR said that future shipments would have these holes drilled. Besides, drilling the hole needed (just one) was a cinch.
Also, for a GT Lite rig I was giving to a friend, I was missing some ratchet bolts for the pedal plate. NLR shipped me SIX, free-of-charge. AND, their support line was always available by voice, and very polite. Great, great service :-)
Right on time from NLR. I was currently looking for a small cockpit, so I can have it in a corner of my living room, and something that my wife actually won't complain. I was thinking in the Nitro concepts S-racer for it's small factor, but this NLR, for my usage is more than enough and I'll save some buck.
Great to hear you are potentially exploring the Victory Cockpit as an option for your sim racing solution!
Great timing then mate as you say!
Dang. $300 for a nicely constructed rig with a seat on sliders with a shifter mount has me questioning my playseat challenge
We love hearing that you like the new Victory cockpit! It has all the extras you need for immersive sim racing. Best part, it doesn't break the bank
This is WAY better than a PSC if you don't need foldable.
@@NextLevelRacing NO no one in his right mind likes this! And the flex gives you the Immersion like nothing else LOL :D why are you wasting resources and time on such bad products NLR? This is terrible really! Only suitable for g29 or t300 maybe.... and we know that you can make good entry lvl alu rig that will be sturdy and work great and be easier to shipp in 1 long but small box while being even cheaper than this contraption!
@@NextLevelRacing I am waiting for the stand in the mail right now, how much will it be for the seat add on, and when will it be available?
@@KarlGoslingCould you not fold this though? Undo the pins in the seat and it folds forward. Then undo the bolts in the “wheel stand” and it folds forwards. You could then store it away folded like that.
You could also switch out the bolts in the wheel stand with winged bolts, and you don’t even need tools. Wouldn’t this work as a foldable solution?
Looks neat! Hopefully they sell the seat seperate! I'm always looking for folding seats for my DIY folding wood rig. Currently using an autotechnica monza (basically playseat evo seat, flexes quite a bit) Victory seat looks quite solid considering how it folds/how thin it is.
I think some people may want to point the wheelbase down for entry logitech and thrustmaster wheels that angle up a bit by default. Great review as always, cheers!
Good point on serrated flanges, might save my knuckles tightening up the wheel support adjustment on my diy rig. Hopefully wood can handle it, too 😅
Engineering background.. explains alot.. you have a lovely home.. wicked kit.. i have some jamos i got when i was 11!. (40 now) top work as ever karlmondo!!!
Yeah I have that type of mind that suits technical work.
Thanks mate, I love a nice clean look and those Jamos just it the spot for me! I also have some from the early 90's ones upstairs, D365's and D265's!
Hey karl amazing video, very helpful since you're one of the first to review it. One thing though, for people like me who don't have as much time to watch 20 minute reviews for each item I want to buy, those markings that split up the video into sections would be very helpful. otherwise, amazing, considering getting one myself!
Thanks mate! I'm not a fan of time stamps, they harm my watch statistics (this is TH-cams fault not yours/mine) so I don't use them... you can still always skip in of course.
If they had considered some folding points for easier storage this would have been an absolute winner. Watching the video it looks like sich a option wouldnt be too difficult for NLR to consider without compromising what looks the be a solid budget cockpit.
Yeah not a bad shout mate!
Thank you once again for the amazing content, we love your videos and always want more of them.
Thanks Andy!
Just ordered one! Great video on the pros and cons sadly it shows out of stock according to Amazon but hope I get the first one shipped out!
Yeah I just had an email saying there's limited global stock till a couple of weeks time.
Great to hear about your your purchase! Karl provided great insight into the feature and who this product is targeted towards!
@@KarlGoslingany time line on the GT omega lite-r review? They are already on sale and was wandering if the prime accessories will fit it
@dak112 I'm jealous brother! It is not available for me yet. 😄
@@awakeandwatching953 It arrived with me yesterday so I will try to get it out ASAP (a week or two) along with the Sprint review.
still impressive to me that the Shifter mount is more stable then the shifter mount/arm thingie they did on the Wheelstand 2.0...
It is certainly a solid mount thats for sure.
I have a NLR GTtrack and I absolutely love it. My son has a playseat challenge and he hates it. This looks superb and I am thinking of getting rid of the play seat and replacing it with one of these. It also looks easy to collapse down and tuck away if necessary.
We love hearing that you love the GTtrack cockpit! Will the Victory Cockpit be a new addition ;)
@@NextLevelRacing Sorry but you made the GT track too well. It still has many years left in it. I do hope to get your motion simulator setup at some time. It's out of my budget range at the moment.
@@NextLevelRacing But I will likely purchase one for my son.
What does he hate about the playseat?
@@cristianitsirc6830 the wheel stand design
Quality product - With a few tweaks and refinements.
Also, if you know a welder or better yet, can weld yourself, you could really easily up the rigidity of the frame. Just a few strips of metal in strategic places would work wonders.
Yes for sure!
Oh no, it dont have the stiffener tubes most of the rigs in this design have, like the diagonal tubes that strenghten the main wheel base tube. Other than that it is nice because you can detach it fast as it seems and you can fold the seat etc. Those are the points i was looking for, now i have a permanent cockpit but i keep my eyes open for a more foldable or easy detachable stable rig for typical under 10nm Wheels. I dont care about shifter mounts at all, dont use them. I also dont like the wheel base plate because the holes are not seperated for adjusting, they can potentially slip like mentioned in the video. I would buy a pro version from this rig, slightly beefed up for more money of course.
Very nice comfy seat for a beginner also.
We brought the best of both worlds together into our Victory cockpit!
Had been waiting for this for so fking long. Nice review!
Thanks mate!
Your videos inspire me. Great review Karl!
Thanks mate!
Hi Karl,
I reached out to NLR support and they confirmed the Logitech Pro wheel base is not supported with this frame (to be fair it's not listed as being supported)
Do you think this is because it doesn't line up with pre drilled holes or because its max is 11nm and this cockpit supports upto 10nm?
Cheers!
I would guess bolt pattern, meaning you can probably drill to suite if needed, an extra 1nm make zero difference.
@@KarlGosling See my comment above. To reiterate, the wheelplate for my NLR GT Elite rig was also missing the front mount hole (three are needed). I'm by no means a handyman, but it took me a matter of minutes to drill the one hole needed. Easy peasey.
Yeah, an extra 1nm would make no real-world difference.
That looks really smart and well made
It is!
Hi Karl, great video and am in market for first cockpit, i have my optikns narrowed to the next level racing gt lite pro or this new victory cockpit, if you had to choose what would you recommend. From the two videos you’ve done it looks like the victory has a better wheel deck but the gt lite pro has a better pedal deck
The GT Lite Pro is a foldable cockpit mate, this is not, if you don't it to fold then always choose a static rig like the Victory as it will be more solid.
On the tilting mounting plate, it makes sense to me. I use a Playseat Trophy in a more reclined position akin to an inbetween formula/GT position. Wheelbases often tilt upwards naturally, so I have to tilt the plate down to get it to be straight and fit in with my more reclined seating position.
The seat doesn't recline.
@@KarlGoslingthanks for this… i was seriously considering it but that is a deal breaker for me
would this be worth it for little disassembly for easy storage in my room where i don't have enough room to store it fully assembled or would i be better off just going for a foldable cockpit
I'm wondering the same thing. I bet the bolts the hold the two main pieces together, could be replaced with something that can be popped in and out
I had the NLR FGT lite and is a lot bulkier than you would expect. Even in its collapsed state. It is also a royal pain in the rear to collapse and reassemble. I think the one in the video is a better option. I am thinking of getting one for my son.
Great question! Although we have not designed it for storage, the cockpit can be split from the middle and be stored as necessary. You would need to remove a few bolts
Replace the two bolts with thumbscrews and you're good to go yes! The seat folds flat easily anyway.
@@KarlGosling Would be great if you did a follow up vid with these adaptions to see how it looks folded for storage. I think NLR would be mad not to include optional bolts etc if it's easily achievable as I think many people like myself with a basic folding xrocker seat etc would purchase this in a blink of an eye.
Dammit I just bought the GT Omega Art because of your video on the restocks :D ah well
The ART is a better cockpit mate, more adjustment, slightly more solid, monitor mount option, better seat and choices, etc.
Great review. I have a 73cm high desk, would this rig be too low for me? I was looking at the GT Omega ART as well, do you think the ART would be higher with the base adjustments?
Too low? As in your display on the desk would be too high? If so then no I think you will be fine with either mate, can also put castors on to raise either up if needed.
@KarlGosling yeah, I was thinking the display on the desk would be too high. Ah yeah I'll try the casters when I get it then. Cheers.
Looks real nice for the price.
Yeah it is!
Keep it goin Karl. You are doing great job!
Appreciate it mate thanks!
11:50 maybe it’s possible to have the wheelbase plate angled upward if the whole mounting bar could be removed from the rest of the assembly and flipped around, then have the adjustment screws face the driver instead.
Either that or the wheel stand was meant to offset wheelbases like the G29 which are already set to mount at an angle by design
You could certainly try flipping it around yes!
Great review as always Karl and another banger by NLR.
Thanks mate!
Another great review Karl, I’m already using NLR WS 2.0 with my DD Pro which is a great bit of kit but I want to have a proper seat rather than my sofa and can’t justify the £500 add on seat for how much I get to race. In your opinion should I switch to this and sell my stand or stick with what I have because it’s definitely more solid? Cheers bud keep up the quality uploads.
Difficult choice mate, if money is the limiting factor and you really want a full cockpit then perhaps do the swap yes, the flex isn't that bad in this really... but the choice is yours mate.
Hi Karl great review, what’s the footprint of this like compared to the titan. Specs say the titans smaller but that’s without a seat?
I don't have a Titan here anymore to compare mate sorry!
I love it! This is exactly what i've been looking for. Unfortunately, only finding them sold out. 🤔
It's great to hear you love the new Victory Cockpit! We will have stock available shortly in all regions.
Yeah stock coming in a couple of weeks, I'm not sure why they launched without any?!
@@KarlGosling thanks. Love your reviews by the way. Very informative and entertaining
@@NextLevelRacing is there a way to be notified when it is available in my area?
@@PyreniusGaming Follow us on our socials for more announcements!
Good review as usual Karl. I couldn't find the measurements anywhere, anywhere I can see what they are? Thanks.
Hmm not if they are not on the site and I've packed this away now or I'd measure up for you!
Is the flex going to be noticeable when driving with my 5nm csl dd?
Nope.
could you fit the wheel deck backwards to get more angle?
Possibly, I'll check.
Say what?! I never thought id find something id actually want to swap out my Playseat Challenge for. This is the way.
You know where to find us! ;)
Big upgrade from a PSC if you don't need to fold away.
Do you think caster wheels could be fitted under this rig?
I mention that in the video, yes.
@@KarlGosling Sorry, didn't listened each second of the review. Thx
Karl, I am in between this chair and the new Prime lite R, can't wait on your review of the Prime , but I wonder if by not finding the seat on the Victory comfortable enough it can be switched for another model?
Only if the mounting points happen to match others seats, which I do not know the answer to.
But the Prime Lite R is ally profile and can take any seat, peripherals, etc and has the customization of ally profile so if you're not worries about how it looks I'd get that.
@@KarlGosling Thanks for your reply, what are your thoughts about the build quality of the Prime R? it looks more sturdier then the Victory or?
1:00 dwangus lol what a funny name for a company
Typical Chinese randomness mate! lol
I bet there's something you can put under the pedal tray to stop it flexing that much anyway.
Yeah some wood or a brick maybe! lol
Can you move the wheelbase forward and back?
And if a kid were to use it would they be to close to the wheel?
No mate, you move the seat and pedal tray instead.
Adjust as needed, child or adult.
@KarlGosling great thanks 👍
@@KarlGosling what would you recommend more the GTracer or the victory
Does it have a way to put on a butt kicker like the gtracer?
Not directly no mate, but it's tubular so you can use the BK mount pretty much anywhere on the frame!
Do you have a review of next level gt track?
Only the front half (which is actually whats important), it's a WSDD with the rear seat frame included.
Looks really good. That cockpit and a gt dd pro for 1000 euros, give or take, seems like a really good deal for someone looking to upgrade from a g29 and a playseat like myself 😉
Totally agree!
Got to 5:17 and noticed it doesn't support the Logitech G Pro wheel base.. Will stick to my Playseat Trophy G edition
This wouldn't really be an upgrade over the Trophy anyway, aside from the seat.
Would you say the Playseat Trophy is worth the additional cost over this?
No.
@KarlGosling thanks 👍
Any plans to review the GT Omega Sprint mate?
Yup, literally arrived an hour ago!
@@KarlGosling Amazing, I have literally been checking your channel daily since you showed it haha
I have a PU leather gaming chair. A nightmare. After a few years it starts to flake off and disintegrate. Never again.
I can confirm that. Never again.
Lol, i just bought the f-gt, don't like the seat, was thinking about the playseat but don't like the custom seat and no shifter and now this....which would seem to have been decent for my needs. Darn it! Just like computer upgrading. You never have a real win.
lol there's always something new coming out isn't there!
Can u try the lumi LRS08-BS01 pls 🙏
They are a Chinese brand not available in the UK mate.
will you be reviewing the playseat formula instinct? i have yet to see a professional review, it's strange since it looks like a pretty decent product, i guess playseat didn't want to fork out the sponsors, cheap asses
It's almost £600 to buy in so not right now mate no.
Yeah I don't think they ever send out review units that I've seen?
they should highly consider selling this without the seat for half the price because i have so many seats already at home
They already do it's the wheel stand lite 2.0
@@Thebest82014 that's a wheel stand not a cockpit
@this product is just the cockpit upgrade for the wheel stand
@@Thebest82014 no its not. it's a complete cockpit. it has nothing to do with the wheel stand you're talking about.
The seat is not half the cost so sadly that would not work.
who in the world needs more than 10 nm
No one needs it, but some just like a heavy wheel.
The top of cockpit the SIMETIK - K1 price/quality
Thats a £600 cockpit with no seat! lol
Product is not available for sale. No other seller from list even carries it.
Shopping these products is a headache. Glad I wasted my time.
Yes it appears they launched it with no stock... You can pre-order using my Amazon link, delivery is two weeks I believe.
@@KarlGosling People still complaining after the Fanatec delivery schemozzle :-( What should be considered is that all NLR products have free shipping. I'd take good quality and value products every day of the week over vapourware that doesn't arrive for months and has costly shipping.
The link shows European pricing and shipping. Not sure that helps me much in America. I used your link and couldn’t find it with American pricing and shipping.
I don’t usually use Amazon, so I might not understand how to change things for my area through links.
