  • If you’re a Cadillac fan, you know that the ATS sedan has been replaced by the CT4. You may even know that there’s a V-series version of the CT4. What you may not know, is that V doesn’t quite mean what it used to. Confused? Well, whether you’re in the know, or looking for answers, our next test of the CT4 V-Series should help.

      How is it good on Caddy when, according to perpetual liar Mary Barra, GM is going to be all-electric in less than 15 years? Seems counterproductive to spend billions and billions on ICE choices when they are going to become obsolete. Oh well, at least Barra got a lot of press out of her ridiculous claims for the future.

    Lots of hate in the comments but this CT-4-V does perform as well as the original CTS-V while getting about 45% better fuel mileage.

    • @RenlangRen
      @RenlangRen 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I own and love my ATS-V. The CT4-V is not way close to a CTS-V. The CT-4-V blackwing is the competitor to the older ATS-V. The CTS-V was a fire breathing beast with the supercharged V-8 from a corvette LS1.
      The CT4-V gets much better gas milage than a CTS-V because the CT4-V has 325hp while the CTS-V has 640hp.

    • @NasaRacer
      @NasaRacer 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RenlangRen They are great cars. In my comment from a few years back I was referring to the original CTS-V with 400hp from like 2004 and how the new CT-4V with the turbo 4cyl performs better and gets way better mileage than the old car. But of course it is no match for the current supercharged V8 Blackwing.

Cadillac is a premium nameplate of the GM Corp, the V6 engine should be the dam standard 😉

      I was not a fan of runflat tires for the 2005 but the LS was a beast. Plenty of brakes from the Brembos foe track duty too.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Kinky Streets now the Alpha based CTS, which also shares with ATS, is on a whole another level! Did drive the CTS from 2013 onward but had a ATS for a few years. The chassis feels like it was chiseled from ingot and is the best in the business. The old CTS shared with the SRX 3-row crossover so I'm sure there were compromises.
      The Alpha ll is under CT4/CT5 and Cameron today. The Cameron is another excellent track especially compared to the Mustang and Challenger in that segment.

      Thanks for saying this. I personally think Cadillac lost its identity a decade ago and since then, even today, tries too hard to fit in with the already established makes from the euro and asian crowds.

    I miss the CTSV and the ATSV. They were better looking cars and performance than the new CT4V. I still love caddy but I think Cadillac made a mistake discontinuing the CTSV and the ATSV. The sales on CT4V won’t sell much

    The Blackwing is not over the top. It is a perfect blend of acceleration, steering, and handling. The CT4-V is OK. If you are a driver, then the Blackwing is for you.

    The only sore spot for me is the interior. Far too much matte black plastics on switches, trim & instrumentation shroud. It has a "bargain basement" appearance. They could've done better, at least offering stainless steel keys, carbon fiber or wood grain shroud, etc. After all, this IS a Cadillac.
