I don't know how they come up with those carbon figures. 13 barrels of oil would weigh about 3 tons in raw form, but when burned, it turns into 6 tons of carbon?
It turns into carbon dioxide, not just "carbon". CO2 is one part carbon, two parts oxygen. Oxygen also weighs about 3.7 times what carbon does. So when gasoline (which is mostly carbon) combines with oxygen from air during combustion, there is more CO2 produced by weight than just the initial fuel.

Cadillac Without A Large Sedan or Coupe Is An Oxymoron🤔
They got a big one called the Celestiq coming soon.
@@tjhouston1280 I was going to say...
I hear that if you gonna get a CT5, it is best to spend the extra cash and get the 3.0V6.
The 237 HP I-4 Cylinder Would be Fine For Me 😘😘
Of course, as they show the infotainment, they have to use the "Buckle to Drive" screen to do it, and show it being turned "on." 🙄
Still looks like a good car, though. Since it can be turned off, I'd consider it if I were ever to decide to go back to a sedan...
I only watch if John Davis is hosting he's nostalgic and entertaining.
Those lame performance Numbers conclude the Northstar still had atleast 10 more years of market viability after 2011.
Bring back the Sedan de Ville
Front end is handsome, but the body is quite generic looking. I do like the interior, but no V8 option?
The CT5-V Blackwing has what you want.
great analysis
Even Motorweek can’t get excited about this dullard car. It’s just begging to be cancelled. Either get a V or a blackwing.
Quarter mile in 15 seconds. That is the time that I could take a nap.
Acura who?
Can i get a bench seat, seating for 6, and a ride comparable to pudding? It's sharp, but after the DTS, i can't imagine buying another Cadillac, was amazing to be in, super plush and comfortable, but that N* was shit.
Why are they not using the 3.6TT setup from the CT4-V Blackwing in this? 472hp would be a good middle ground for those who can’t afford the $125k for the CT5-V Blackwing.
Because then nobody would buy the CT4 V what would be the point when this would be tens of thousands cheaper
The CT5-V 3.0TT gets an Acura crushing 400 lb-ft of torque.
What were they thinking? A weak-ass 4-cylinder sports sedan competing with the Europeans?
The first Cadillac was red!
I looked at one, so they were like this $45,000 car that doesn’t have heated seats as a luxury car, that’s a $9,000 package, and I left. Infiniti again it is.
Really a nice expensive pile of garbage. A horse with terminal cancer is more reliable than a Cadillac these days.
That's funny I own a 2014 cts4 and it's worth $28,000 with 58,000 miles!
Super handsome! Inside & out. Well done GM. Although, finances & EV infrastructure permitting, EV only for me from now on. 🥰
Cadillac Cimarron Think She’s Slick🤔😂
The phony "glass" triangle at the C pillar is unacceptable on a Kia never mind a Cadillac. This is a huge step backward from the CTS
Get the Lincoln Nautilus much better buy
The Cimarron for 2021.
Lmao respectable 6.7sec to 60mph !
I'm sorry, what!? 6.7 seconds to 60 in a car with twin turbo V6???
Or 2.0T?
No sunroof
can it be ordered?
It has an option for that
15.0 @ 93?? That's it?? OMG lol
I thought cadillac was done with sedans
For a brand that has been making luxury cars for decades its odd they can't seem to match the competition at least on materials quality after so many years smh
More like for Centuries...
Because wuth the savings on price you can line the inside of your Cadillac with whale fore skin. Cadillac does weight savings and handling like no other today.
Ah yes the CT5, a sedan worse in almost every respect than the fantastic CTS it replaced
Disagree completely. Cts was awkward looking w a shit interior. CT5 has way more swagger and elegance than that miserable cts
The CT5 is on Alpha ll platform and CTS on older Alpha l. They are rear drive based and chisled from ingot which makes them best in class!
I'm sorry but this is a rwd Chevy Malibu....they have ruined Cadillac smh....these cars have no soul
6.7 to 60 in a “sport sedan” in 2021? My 8 year old Accord v6 four door beats it by 1 second. No wonder these aren’t selling. At least the CTS was truly competitive on performance.
Yeah, but your Accord is just a boring 8 year old Honda
@@MS3DALE my point exactly. My car is transportation appliance and it is faster than Cadillac’s sport sedan. How can a Cadillac compete with BMW or Mercedes when it’s slower than a Honda.
@@2011joser It makes up for it with comfort & luxury features & materials. Who cares if your POS Honda is 1 second faster, it’s got no class.
@@Samuelfish2k You are so emotional about this you must own one. The Cadillac is not competing with Honda. The cars it attempts to compete with have the luxury features and materials AND are high performance.
Boring. This is not a driver's car.
There are so many more desirable, superior vehicles available at this price. What a dud.
Like? An old Lexus IS with dated infotainment?
Fr it’s honestly for looks but it’s a good car I would buy it but it would be because the look there’s a lot more cars on the market with higher horsepower
@@pain2blessed the Japanese brands are the laggards today.
I hate SUVs
If I was allowed to drive again I would get one
It's a mixed bag nowadays. Most current vehicles are quick, with decent to excellent handling & braking. Unfortunately they're usually hella expensive, largely automatics & don't have much driver feel anymore. Check out Leno's Garage review of the Blackwing version of this vehicle (over 600hp manual transmission) if you haven't already.
@@terrylmcpherson5610 Hi Terry I'm Peter from Hamilton Ontario Canada sir and unfortunately I said that I'm not allowed to drive again because I'm now 49 years old and a stroke and cardiac arrest survivor and use a cane for balance when I'm outside walking around and can't drive anymore mostly because of seizures which is a side effect from the stroke.
@@vassa1972 my sister had a stroke and lost her whole right side in arm and leg movement. They are limp and she has to use supports as her muscles are allow that side to drop and she walks with cane. But being 45-years old and many years of PT has allowed her to drive for the first time I almost a decade.
You'll be back in the saddle again if you want it!
chinese buy CT5 2022
I remember reading Cadillac’s marketing department’s findings that the average new Cadillac owner was over 65 and had no college degree. Now, with a prized demographic like that small wonder Cadillac remains, “An American Standard for the World!”
Total YAWN ....Somehow just sort of generic looking and easy to get so tired of seeing in the driveway.. whatever I sure don't want one! Be like marrying a homely one that lacks personality...maybe a nice person and some good points but maybe way too hard to be in love with...be like "...WHY did I EVER commit to THIS?.."
Side profile looks like a Honda Civic 😂🤣😂
I'd rather have a Cimmeron anyday over this high tech turd.
stupid comment, oh and its spelled Cimarron
First thumb up
