TESLA 3 PERFORMANCE VS MERCEDES AMG A45 S (ILLEGAL DRIFT BATTLE!!!)

  • First of all i must say that this one was completely illegal thing!!
i were in passenger of the Tesla who were driven by a friend, but it was scary and dangerous as fuck!! This mustn't be reproduced in real LIFE, if no serious skills from the drivers and optimal conditions!!!
Both guy at the wheel do racing in LMP (tesla driver) and rallye WRC (Mercedes driver)!
Both cars on Michelin PS4S, drift MODE activated on the Mercedes, TRACK MODE V2 on the Tesla with repartition 90% REAR 10% FRONT (completely adjustable!!) full esc disconnected on both car, battery was in overheat on the last part of the hill for the tesla....but the AMG has got one engine OIL temperature alert aswel at the same point :-)
The battery became again in green after 2min of cooling down, same for the Mercedes
Start of the hill climb 78% battery in the tesla, arrived on top = 46%, when going down, then reloaded to 57% due to regeneration with the brakes!
Both car are amazing for mountain road and canyon!! I can' decide which one to take....and you which one would you choose? :-))

This Comment Section is the Reason the Car Community is in such shambles, It's always "This Mercedes, This BMW, This Audi, This Honda or This Tesla"
It's not the car, It's the Driver
If you Are Happy with your Tesla, Good for you
If you Are Happy with your Mercedes, Good for you
If you Are Happy with your Honda Civic, Good for you
People saying "Oooooh this Car is faster, This car Accelerates Faster"
That's only Half of the Formula.
The Driver Is much more important than The Car, You can gap a Mustang GT With 500Hp with your 350HP Honda Civic, If you can drive Your Honda But the Guy Can't Drive his Mustang.

I get what you're saying but don't you try and tell me a good driver can beat a Bugatti in a model T. Although the extreme of "can't drive his car" would be hitting a tree so actually maybe you're right. Either way if you're not racing there's no point in bragging or taking sides, you just drive what you like or can afford.

Big fan of your channel but this needs some further commenting. Indeed it was illegal, that easily happens, but it was also dangerous and that’s not so good for our community of drivers. Just like racing or TF on the ring, there are rules of the road, but also some unwritten rules for ’advanced’ or ’performance’ driving on the road to keep things safe and enjoyable in the long run.
Here are mine (writing the unwritten ;) ) :
    1) Your driving history/resumé doesn’t matter, you’re never a better driver than in the moment, and drivers make mistakes. Good to keep in mind.
    2) Drive 100% on visual confirmation that the road is free and will remain free from forseeable obstacles (hidden side roads, crests and dips) without preconceptions. Preconceptions are: usually nobody is behind this bend, the road is there, I know this road (before… ), I’m on a priority road so others should stop, etc. No guessing, no assumptions, only 100% visual confirmation.
2b) Always drive a public road like it's the first time you drive it
    3) Slow down immediately if you can’t see the road is free. Don't take the risk! Logical consequence of rule 2 but still stating it. Good opportunity to test braking/grip.
    4) … because if there is an obstacle, you must be able to avoid it and if that isn’t possible, stop completely. Which is the reason for nr. 2)
    5) Slow down when there are houses nearby. People live and move there. Out of respect, safety but also when they complain, it can be negative for our driving freedoms.
    6) Slow down for oncoming traffic. We easily rely they will stay in their lane. But you can’t be sure as they aren’t part of our ’fun’ and can do erratic things (phones, nice view etc) and if things go bad, head on collisions become so much worse with more speed. I’ve had normal drivers suddenly in my lane 3x in 23 yrs of driving. Not very often but it happens… (this vid ok but still stating it)
6b) Avoid really silly speeds, it's acceleration and bends that are fun
    7) Consider that someone not following these rules may come from the other direction. Keep that in mind in the 100% visual…(this is not WRC)
    1:09 1:41 2:30 3:23 4:39 8:05 are not so good… didn’t mind the rest ;)
After seeing this vid, my answer is... What would a m340i do? (5 seat 4wd also)
Drive safe and... enjoy where possible!

Clearly both pushing 100% of your ability and it isn't enough to control your cars at that speed. The AMG exiting corners onto the wrong side of the road clearly has no way of staying on the correct side should there be an oncoming car beccause he has entered and existed the corner too fast. If you are going to drive fast don't push yourself or the car. I's people like you that give spirited driving a bad name. I'm not one for jealously but you seriously don't deserve those cars, plenty more responsible people with far more talent should be trusted with such tools, not you.

But it doesn't seem like the tesla driver is driving full throttle. @Car Freaknatic no the tesla understeers like sumo before it can find the correct direction. tesla is way too heavy for touge AKA ev's weakness

@Car Freaknatic no weight is a bad thing, lower center of gravity is good but that doesn't mean it's the only thing that matters in cornering. in the video it shows that the tesla understeers a lot, a few more kilometers it will lose it's tire grip more and also the brakes will fade faster because it's heavier, which explains that at the end of the video the amg is extending the lead.

@Car Freaknatic lol comparing race car to street car shows that you know nothing. porsche 919 hybrid evo is faster than ID.R by a mile. race car is faster than normal street car because it weigh less. the fact that you don't know anything about weight shows that your opinion is based on fanboy riding
