I drove the Autobaun a lot in the 70s while stationed in Germany. Glad to see it still has no speed limit. I drove an old Ford v4 wagon with my foot on the floor at 90 mph for many miles. Oh, the memories 😉👍

The majority of Germans are in favor of a speed limit of 130. We are tired of tourists coming to Germany and confusing the autobahns with racetracks.

actually at speed above 60 km/h the tirenoice is dominat over the engine sound. Only exception is driving in the exhauct stream of an Porsche GT3 ^^. Means, it is not that louder in a mordern car hat this speeds.
What really grinds my gears when driving on autobahn... is that somebody who doesn't look at the mirrors and starting an overtake at 130km/h or so and there is you... going 200+ and must brake hard
Try anticipating his actions and slow down BEFORE the situation becomes dangerous. Drive according to the conditions and allow others to make mistakes. It's called good driving.

Passing slower-moving columns of traffic at significantly higher speed is courting disaster, because vehicles can and do pull out without warning; not necessarily because the drivers concerned are stupid or incompetent, but because they're human and they make mistakes - just like you! A good, defensive driver anticipates this, and makes allowances for it by slowing down to a speed more appropriate to the conditions. It's not rocket science.
@@MSM4U2POM Finally, someone speaks some sense about driving. Just because there is no top speed limit doesn't mean it is safe to drive that speed as much as possible. Defensive driving is watching out for others as much as for yourself.
If you don't go over around 160kmh+, you have noting to do at all in the left lane.
This is a perfect car to catch to actual nice cars so you can listen to the exhaust sounds.
The Tesla driver can always use his mouth to simulate engine noise and get excited
there's this video of a bunch of race cars going slow around a corner revving their engines then one electric car comes by with the driver doing exactly that
Old tech like that is complex, expensive and noisy.
Tesla drivers are not noise fetishist they dont need to be deaf.
But all other car drivers can't simulate silence with their mouth. And leave pedestrians without this fucking noise.

Zooming down the Autobahn at 235 kilometers an hour is a special kind of awesome. The adrenaline is insane. If you’ve never tried it before (provided you remain safe and comfortable driving at such high speed) I definitely recommend it. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
Definitely fun but good luck finding anywhere to do that, between construction, traffic and speed
Limits there are very few spots left to do that. As you can see in the video how often he was forced to slow down
I would definitely NOT recommend that. There are many reasons why only Germany has highways with unlimited areas. You don't become a skilled driver just by passing a border. It's only a matter of time until Germany enforces measures against increasing autobahn-tourism any way.
I did it and well over it in Hungary on my CBR600 on "Autobahns" here. Not much fun, I only was in hurry. Way more adrenaline on some mountain serpentine, not to mention race tracks. That's the way to go.
Motorbikes use to be dangerous. Now dosnt it start near 300?? Its bin a while but im sure cars rarely … bikes feels so different instead of the false feeling of safe. Hahahaa mindblowing teslas. Cant wait till i get one.

это слабая модель три, сейчас появились модель s с разгоном до сотни за две секунды, 200 км с нуля машина за 8 секунд набирает и максимальная скорость 280 :) Так что бензиновые порше и феррари обделываются по полной

Ricardo Lagos When you’re hear an engine what you are actually hearing is wasted energy. Engine noise/exhaust/heat is all signs of an inefficient power system and is just air and noise pollution in the end.

Works only if you know to drive. If you are used at 50mph and suddenly do 250 kmh you are probably going to be a danger on the road
@@lordroo8484 not on the autobahn mate. There is no limit, so just because you are going a little faster than the other lanes does not give you the right to block ppl that wish to go faster than you. You are forcing them to make the decision of overtaking you in the non-overtaking lane. Once you are done overtaking someone and there is a car right behind you the courteous thing to do is to let your stubborn ego subside, merge and let them pass. Also, that's why there are 3 or more lanes.

My 2008 Cayman S goes a little over 291 kph, that's over 180 mph. The Tesla might be faster but eventually I will catch it and say bye bye...trust me. And the sound it makes while doing this is just heavenly...
Yeah, eventually. On a infinite stretch without traffic up until then the instant power delivery and fast acceleration at mid speeds will increase the distance enough so you wont be able to pass that quick.

The Porsche knows the Tesla is behind, so he goes more to the right side to let him pass. But the Tesla was not fast enough and another slower car is in front of the Porsche now so the Porsche comes back to the left line. Too sharp steering with this high speed on the autobahn is stupid and dangerous. Obviously some people here have never driven fast on the autobahn.

Tesla Motors does have mostly solved the heat issue quite some time ago. And racing, it for sure will hold up about 100km. And a gasoline car in that style of driving does have rather about 20L/100km. I would say, that gasoline cars get about 2,5x the range than a BEV, but costs for refill are also 5x as high.
@@Devanow the heating of everything on the model 3 is coming through something call:" Superbottle" at the front. It is small around a suit case but everything: battery, electronic etc... All the heat is coming through that.
In one of the deep dive video, they scripted down the tesla model 3 and praised the heating system alot, brilliant and simple. So tesla can keep their cars not heating in high performance but their goals is to make a family sedan.
I can feel the sound of GT3, my phone was vibrating also that Tesla's speed is amazing looking so comfortable and smooth on the highway.

My audi s4 has way less wind noise and tire noise.. And it kicks a lot harder after 200 than this prius.
@@vitall7871 I hit 130mph in my Model 3 on the autobahn. Not comfortable at all. Felt skittish. Then again I'm used to driving at 75mph. At 60+ the road noise is really bad in the Model 3. I have to put the stereo on close to max in order to hear audiobooks/podcasts.

I think people are forgetting the difference between fast and quick. Teslas are quick, they can get up to speed insanely fast but they start topping out at around 100 MPH. Porsches can continue to accelerate into the 190’s and even 200 MPH range. Not only that but they can zip around a track and take corners very fast, something the Tesla can’t do because of how heavy it is.
