Using that method to push back the piston to remove the caliper could damage the ABS as you are inyecting pressure trough the brake line, you must deactive the ABS with a Scanner or loose a little the bleeder valve to release pressure as you push the piston.
The rotors are easily replaced yourself. There are 2 bolts holding on the caliper bracket on the rear side of the rotor, remove those and the rotor should come off. If it's stuck on there then you may need to use a hammer to whack it a few times and the rotor should slide right off.
@@CarsYouCanFix I just did a set of 2023 break pads- my brother ordered the pads but they were for a 2022- they have 4 little clamps instead of the entire arm like the 23's have to hold the pads in place- the pads were smaller as well- Id rather do the 23's as it's easier to work with the single bracket on the top and bottom instead of 4 little brackets- 2 per pad- go figure- you wouldn't think there would be a difference but I guess there is. Good video.
There is an extra step with the rear brake pads since they are used for the electronic parking brake system, to apply the parking brake. Usually have to use a scan tool to set the brakes in maintenance mode to replace the pads, although there are work arounds if you don't have a scan tool. Once I replace the rear brakes on this vehicle I will definitely post a video!
I'm not 100% sure about the hybrid Tucson, but like the Prius, I always keep the keys away from the vehicle, and for good measure disconnect the battery. Some systems will active the brakes when it senses the key nearby, last thing you want to happen when the caliper is off.

Thanks for the tip! In my experience I've never had that issue. But would love to hear specific circumstances where this could be an issue
Hey quick question, Great video by the way !!
I was wondering how different it would be to do on a 2021 N line ? 😅 I’m doing them Sunday hopefully
Thanks! I haven't had a chance to work on the N line version yet, hopefully soon though. Tell us how it goes!
Hello - can the rotors be replaced yourself as well or are there special ‘dealer only’ tools required for the 2022 Tucson?

@@CarsYouCanFix thank you very much!
I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue. Amazon said they don’t fit. Just wanted to check to see if that was true.
That is true, looks like there are different brake pads between the hybrid and non-hybrid Tucson

Great video! Are rear brake pads the same process?

I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid Limited.
Is there any difference in doing the brakes because of the hybrid system?
Thank you!

Shop wanted $1800 for pads and rotors. That seems insane. I'll just do pads myself.
Wow that's a lot of $$$
