TRQ is so professional and his work is exact. Thank you for your clear "free of blaring music" descriptions and attention to detail; you rock!!!...get it?
Excellent description. Thank you for including details like where the parking brake adjustment is located, compressing the piston, and pumping the brake at the end. Those details are critical!
Thank you for making the video. I replaced the pads and rotors on my wife's 2015 Tucson 2.4L AWD. Same exact install except the pads are about 1/4" smaller, different slider clips and no pad springs.
Helpful tip, sorry if it’s not here already, or if I missed it, but if the back rear rotor is stuck, and you can’t hammer it off, disengage the parking brake
Great information video one thing on my 2020 Tucson the caliper piston is totally different. There are two notches in it. Those notches have to be lined up with the brake pad which has a little steel pin sticking out of it, to be able to put the caliper back in.
Can I just replace the brake pads without taking the caliper bracket and the rotor out? I don't have all the tools you have, such as torque racket to know what 43-foot pounds is
The brakes on my Hyundai 2014 do not look like this. I had ordered from Amazon (brake kit-discs and pads) (was from Detroit Axle) and they not match the brakes on my car. The front discs (rotors) were about 11" in diameter but my original discs (rotors) were 12" in diameter. The front disc pads, that I received, had square slots and not the square protrusions, that was needed to fit into the square slots on the caliper housing. The leaf springs didn't look the same as the originals, either. The new pads (the smaller ones for the rear) had the same problem as the front (ie: slots on the pads when I needed protrusions on them that would fit into the square slots on the caliper assemblies)! I went to the local parts store and had the one front right disc machined because it was badly scored. All of the other discs were very smooth and didn't need machining. I bought the disc pads, as well, and installed them all. Now, I must say that this video does not appear to match the 2014 Hundai Tucson. It does say 2016...so...??? I found the front brake disc and pads were very easy to replace. The rear ones were a bit different and harder to get to. To remove the caliper assembly mounting bolts...one of them, in order to get to it, you have to disconnect the rod, at the caliper end, that goes toward the center of the car, so you can get to the caliper mounting bolt in a recess in the caliper assembly. You don't have to remove it at the other end...you can just move the nearest end just a bit to the side to get to the bolt! I've never replaced brake pads or discs before so it's been "an experience", lol!! But, I did save several hundred bucks...maybe more...you know how they are when you take it to mechanics!!! I took it for a test drive and it works great!
Cracking open the lid for air to escape should be all that's required, but as the gentleman said, the cap is vented. Cracking the lid allows air to vent a little more quickly. Of course, also keep an eye on the fluid level so as not to overflow the reservoir when you retract the piston back into the caliper.

Is there anything special that needs to be done for Electric Parking Brake versions (EPB)?
What a great, concise, informative video. Thank you!
I’d put WD-40 on those retaining bolts, but excellent instructional video! 👍🏼 👍🏼

this is one of the best videos that i have seen.great job

When compressing the caliper I'd recommend using one of the old pads to push on.
That's all the info I needed to know I'll do the job right. Really nice tutorial - thank you!
Thanks for all the torque specs. Great video.
Love the video ! How come you didn’t bleed the brakes ? Is it something you do when you change pads and rotors ?
Right to the work needed to be done without the bull shiz. Awesome job.Thank you
Thank you very much!! Very helpful, easy to follow and the camera work was excellent!!
Is this the same process for models with the Electronic Parkin Brake?
Subbed for the fact that the into ends and your always straight to business Helpful information as well. Thanks
Very nice, zero BS demonstration. Well done!
+James Elwell Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Very high quality replacement job. Nice to see good work.
Fantastic vid, no unnecessary b s :)
Great video, good lighting to see everything too.
Very helpful, thank you 🙂
can i spray paint the caliper if its too rusted??
Svaka čast, video koji sve objasnjava.
You forgot to do is open the main cylinder so the pressure can release properly
Is it safe to compress the brake piston back in like this or do you have to open the bleeder valve?
Just compress piston caliper if you open bleeder then you'll have to bleed the brakes
Hello on those metal ANTI Rattle clip there are small tabs on the ends of them ..do u have to bend them any way?? or just insert them
Incredible the rust, oxide, in brake parts for a car that is barely new. Is that the inevitable destination of cars that are in the coast?
Same for electric braking???
Are the torque specs the same as the kona?
Fantastic instructions. Very well done. Thanks!

Thank you!
Thanks that helps a great deal 👍🏻
Great video
So no special caliber compression tool like the cube or anything ?
Good stuff appreciate you guys
I'm new to this

My rotors don't come off that easily. Have to spin the park brake shoe adjuster in every time. Even then sometimes it still won't come off.
+eclipser2004 Thanks for the feedback! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Would grease the caliper to pad contact areas as well.
Thanks
When compressing the cylinder, is it not best to take the reservoir cap off ?
The reservoir should breath; if it didn't breath, then it would constantly create negative pressure in the system.
Cracking open the lid for air to escape should be all that's required, but as the gentleman said, the cap is vented. Cracking the lid allows air to vent a little more quickly. Of course, also keep an eye on the fluid level so as not to overflow the reservoir when you retract the piston back into the caliper.
Found it

Not the same as UK Hyundai Tucson 2017 1.7 deisel
