Scott died November 30, 2000 in San Francisco Bay... he fell overboard near the Golden Gate Bridge off of his boat by a huge wave, his remains have never been found... R.I.P. Scott ...and Matt Frenette(drummer) better tho.... seen Loverboy last time at the Wisconsin Valley Fair in 2017, lost count how many times I've seen them. Formed in Toronto. Moved to Vancouver. Lead singer Mike Reno is from Metro Vancouver.
Managed by Bruce Allen, who manages BTO and Prism. In the late 1970s, Bryan Adams got Bruce Allen to manage him.
In 1983, Bryan Adams wrote Jump with Jim Vallance, MR, PD and drummer Matt Frennette.
Written by Mike Reno and Paul Dean. Produced by Dean and the late Bruce Fairbairn. Engineered by Bob Rock.
    Peak Loverboy! 1980.
They still perform today. Same lineup but Ken Spinnaeve is on bass guitar. Scott Smith was lost at sea in San Francisco Bay. 😢 KS played in a band with Paul Dean in the early 1970s. That band broke up. KS joined Red Rider, where the lead singer was Tom Cochrane.

Prism has almost been forgotten by folks today and yet their legacy and their former members have made one of the greatest contributions to Canadian music. I pasted a bit from their Wikipedia page above.

Hey, guys. Just my $.02. Everybody does their channel their own way but I would really recommend watching the official video (or a live performance as a backup) with the lyrics in front of you. That way, you get the whole experience. I am all about the lyrics too, but to me, it adds so much more to watch a band play and see what they look like/what they wear. But again, that's just my opinion. Keep on keepin' on.
Loverboy was the sh*t back in the early 80's. I highly recommend:
    Take Me To The Top
    Lucky Ones
    Lovin' Every Minute of It
P.S. I can't believe no one reacted to his "pack my bags and FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY". That note was sick! Peace. Love you both!

I was lucky enough to see loverboy back in 81, they opened for ZZ Top here in El Paso, TX at the county Coliseum! Great times indeed.

Great song from their debut album. Check out some other tunes from it. They had a little different approach to Rock n Roll than other bands of the time.

I spent a summer selling and installing cassette car stereos. If you were selling speakers to a guy you played Van Halen. If you were selling speakers to a woman you played this tune.
