I hate HOW T-Dog got bit, too! He was much more capable than how they portrayed him! Even Charlie can handle herself better than that without getting bit! When they kill off characters that are either good fighters or physically agile, they should make it more believable- he could’ve easily kicked or knocked that walker out of the way while getting done what he needed to do!
I really wish they wouldn’t have wrote his character off in such an abrupt way (even if it was due to the actor not showing up to set on time). It would’ve been nice to see a character like him to be around to the end. I would’ve loved to see T-dog and Daryl grow to have a sort of brotherhood since they’d be the last of the Atlanta group left. That would be great. I always thought that Tyreese's potential was watered down and he was reduced to being a buff ass scaredy cat babysitter. My mom made me laugh one episode when she burst out with "just look at 'em, huge for nothing" lol because he was too gentle.
Interesting alternative timeline, although I think in some way they could have made T Dog and Carol go on to coexist. T Dog's character never really got the chance to blossom story wise since the budget for the first two seasons was limited, hence season 2 taking place entirely on the farm. There were only a few sprinkles of fear such as when Rick ran into those scavengers at the bar and the zombies in the barn. They could have traded T Dog's death for Andrea and a few other meaningless characters earlier on. T Dog could have done the same as Carol; killing the sick in the prison and getting exiled by Rick, only for them to redeem themselves by saving the group from Terminus.
T was my favourite character from day one and EVERY episode I was on the edge of my seat because I knew it was coming the way they kept him as a background character, season 3 he came into his own, it was gutting to see him taken out as T and Darrel had become Ricks left and right hand men! For me the show went downhill around the offing of T and it’s never been close to the same! Great actor and character, thank you for this video and giving T some attention! The return of Merl after killing of T was also a complete waste of what would have been great tension, character interaction and building, we all wanted to see T (i dropped the key) and Merl meet again!!
anyone else thought both t-dog and carol would have survived if carol watched t-dog's back instead of going ahead into the cell block alone and just waited for t-dog to close the gate so they can clear the place together without having t-dog thinking of sacrifice himself because of the bite that could have been avoided?
As much as I loved T-Dog, I think his character was on borrowed time from the start; he always struck me as a stand-in for Tyreese in the earlier arcs from the comics, so it would have been somewhat unwieldy having them in the group together in seasons 3-5.
I feel like what t-dog said about race was true. I stopped watching around when Negan came in, but it seemed as if when a new black man came onto the show, it meant one of them had to die. It's like they never wanted to have more than one black guy alive at a time during earlier seasons, and then later on, they kept killing off people who were likable (which fine, I get that it's more emotional) but their replacements were all lackluster.
@runawaysiren9409 I don't mean it like "you can't have more than one black guy at a time", but that T-Dog seemed to be written with a lot of Tyreese's distinct character traits from the comics, so that when Tyreese did arrive on the show they would have been similar enough that it would have felt superfluous having two of the same character, unless they rewrote Tyreese to make him more distinct but that would have created a case of "in name only" that might have turned off fans who had been waiting for Tyreese. They could have gotten around this by giving T-Dog more focus and give him other traits to distinguish him as a character from Tyreese, but S3 seemed to already have a lot going on with the prison, Lori's pregnancy, dark Rick, cold Carl, introducing Michonne and Woodbury/the Governor, the return of Merle, etc.

I do think its ridiculous that nobody mentioned TDOG after season 3. Carol atleast. I mean he sacrificed himself. He should've been mentioned a bunch of times.
I think a walking dead version of what if would be a cool idea they could even do it in a comic book style to reference the comics and maybe each season follows different characters that survived longer than their show counterparts
A tdog and Merle reunion and tdog and Daryl friendship is enough reason to wish he didn’t die not to mention everything else they could’ve potentially done with his character
Merle would have straight up either beaten T-Dog to death or just outright killed him The only way that scenario works is if Merle comes across him after he starts to change and become better like he did towards the end, only then would he have likely been fine with T-Dog
@@vallarfaxgaming maybe tdog doesn’t go to Woodbury to save Glenn and Maggie maybe he stays back to protect the prison so he and merle don’t come face to face until after he and daryl come back. Or maybe tdog saves Merle’s life somehow and it eases tensions between the 2. There’s definitely a lot of ways it could fit properly into the story. There was a lot of story left to tell with both of those characters that was just untapped potential
Honestly I wish both of them survived and T-Dog got Bob’s or Abraham’s Death. I think if T-Dog got bobs death it would be a very nice for his character :) or if he got Abraham’s death the death of Glenn and T-Dog would have push the narrative more forward that Negan was a bad guy and to be hated after killing to beloved characters
Actually, T-Dog was _supposed_ to live. When he was taken out of the show, the producers had decided that a major character from Rick's group needed to go. And, go in a shocking and unexpected way. So they picked.... Carol. That's right! Carol was supposed to get the axe. However, the producers changed their minds for one very simple reason. The actor portraying T-Dog was constantly showing up late for filming. Causing significant delays. The producers simply got fed up with his unprofessional garbage! They reconsidered. Why get rid of an actress who is ready to work, and always shows up on time? Why? To keep this clown around, who can't even show up on time!? Heck no! At least they gave T-Dog a heroic end. The rest is history, with Carol.
Dale and T-Dog both died too quickly! They were the *only* two people on TWD who had strong, solid inner selves, they didn’t get confused & weren’t wishy-washy about morals, ethics, & rules- they didn’t need morals, ethics, or rules because they were inclusive of everyone. They were the most logical and grounded in reality. But, Jeffrey DeMunn quit due to supporting Frank Darabont - he wasn’t going to put up with the WOKE people who got Frank fired. Jeff seen how they pushed Frank, then when Frank blew up at them, they allowed his words to hurt their feelings, making a big drama out of it, as if he was being literal. They didn’t behave like adults, they’re the ones who didn’t have control over their emotions, and even admitted it by saying that Frank’s words controlled their emotions. So I don’t blame Jeff for quitting, at all.
I think if t dog lived instead of carol, he wouldve died in the lineup. Negan chose abraham because he knew he could never get abraham to truly kneel. Sure he was literally kneeling but he was kneeling tall, staring negan down like a champ. I think t dog dying wouldve been the punishment for daryl hitting negan, instead of it being glenn. Id take carol and t dog dying if it meant getting glenn back
Despite how the game looks I’m still excited for TWD destinies. I really like that T-Dog has a role in the game because he’s one of my favourites from the show
I can see it mercer sees how strong t dog is and he is chosen to be a commonwealth soldier that would be a awesome if he was alive but he died too early
I pause the video before he said what he thought it was so I thought the same thing I’m not an idiot. I just didn’t see him say that before I put this.
I'm all for other universes making their own What If? shows now that Marvel has done it. I think it would be great for TWD. What if T-Dog survived? What if Shane survived? What if Merle survived? What if Lori survived? What if the group didn't have to run from the CDC building? What if the group saved the farm? There are so many other things we could come up with and it could all be great, if done right
What if Carol saved him, shot the walker behind him that would've bit him, and maybe they somewhat have a relationship like Tyrese and Carol in the comics? Minus the crazy stuff 😂😂😂 and maybe not really as intimate but a deep care for each other. Deeper than most.

A tdog and Merle reunion and tdog and Daryl friendship is enough reason to wish he didn’t die not to mention everything else they could’ve potentially done with his character
Merle would have straight up either beaten T-Dog to death or just outright killed him
The only way that scenario works is if Merle comes across him after he starts to change and become better like he did towards the end, only then would he have likely been fine with T-Dog
This is awesome. T dog was super underrated
Jesus this reminded of the great character he was and made me sad all over again
I really liked t-dog. Hope we see more of him.
I would’ve loved it if he survived, along with Dale
Crazy good T dog editing
The reason for his early death (so ive heard), is that T-dogs actor came late one day on set and they fired him by killing off his character
Wasn’t only one day it was almost every day lol
T-Dog kinda represent us the viewers if we were caught up with Rick group
The best What If? The Walking Dead vid I’ve seen 🔥
This is the most important video on TH-cam now
T-dog deserves justice!!!
Its the fact that he fits in all these scenes when hes only been in 2 and A 3rd of the show. Amazing editing.
I think there will either very unlikely be a Daryl Dixon flashback or likely a TWD destinies.
The demon daryl edit made me laugh harder than it should have
I think TDog, Axel and Oscar should have stuck around longer.
gonna do a T dog survival route in destiny’s 100 percent
THAT MAC DEMARCO INTRO MADE MY NIPPS HARD ❤
Love your video and keep up the great work
Actually, T-Dog was _supposed_ to live.
If you two can’t decide I’ll take it (T Dog moment)
Dude. C’mon…”What IF Ed Peletier Survived?”
Make it happen! LoL
I really like that T-Dog has a role in the game because he’s one of my favourites from the show
Tyrese: Who the hell are you?
T-Dog: I’m you, but better
No
Something tells me, George is going to love The Walking Dead Destines
I can see it mercer sees how strong t dog is and he is chosen to be a commonwealth soldier that would be a awesome if he was alive but he died too early
T-Dog is doing the video game...
I heard they where going to up the graphics a lot in the game that's coming out.
I'm pretty sure if t dog survived he would have died in the line up with Abraham because he looks like he was the strongest.
Honestly this is probably my favorite what if episode t dogs a underated character
Maybe what T dog is doing is that he one of the actors that they could get for The Walking Dead destiny’s for his actual voice
I pause the video before he said what he thought it was so I thought the same thing I’m not an idiot. I just didn’t see him say that before I put this.
could you do What If Sophia survived
I'm all for other universes making their own What If? shows now that Marvel has done it. I think it would be great for TWD. What if T-Dog survived? What if Shane survived? What if Merle survived? What if Lori survived? What if the group didn't have to run from the CDC building? What if the group saved the farm? There are so many other things we could come up with and it could all be great, if done right
Man I wish you would do more reviews and insights
Character I wished lived or lived longer.
T-Dog was an underrated GOAT, its sad that we didn't get more of him.
As much as I love carol T dog would have not only been a better choice he just would have been an amazing important character
I feel like he should’ve survived all the way up Season 5, where he could’ve taken Bob’s death
Bob literally took Dale's comic death so essentially T-Dog would be taking the death of Bob who was taking the death of Dale which wouldn't fit
What if Carol saved him, shot the walker behind him that would've bit him, and maybe they somewhat have a relationship like Tyrese and Carol in the comics? Minus the crazy stuff 😂😂😂 and maybe not really as intimate but a deep care for each other. Deeper than most.
He was literally the best character
Personally, when I was younger T Dog was my favorite character and he still is so it sucked seeing him die simply cuz he didn’t look behind him
Twd destinies brings t-dog back
I think the destinies one is true
what the Walking Dead game destinies will cover hopefully
You do awesome editing! 😅😅😅
this was such a good story for T_dog
Well. We’ll find out what if T-Dog survived in walking dead destinies
I liked T-Dog, he was competent, reliable and was a good man who died too early.
Actually he was mentioned 4-5 times after.
Man no one talks about tyrese, I miss T-dog but tyrese was the only one that never gave in and was the nicest man
Ik there was no reason mentioning him but he was the mintiest character
