maybe a part 2 or second video but they couldve co existed in a world where lori dies. like rick walks him down hes about to stab him and sees the horde decides for them to work together and during the horde lori dies in a way that is neither of their faults
But if Rick was dead and dale dies from that walker soon anyhow then why would they have any reason to leave, Hershel would probably want them gone but I think Shane would beat them if Hershel did try to force them. But it’s just an opinion
And you're forgetting one very important thing. Negan told Rick later that his instinct was to kill Rick in that lineup instead of Abraham. The only reason he did not do that was because he didn't want to kill a father in front of his son. So, Shane would have been the one to die in that lineup and Abraham would have lived.
On top of that, I doubt Daryl would've attacked Negan since he didn't like Shane much, meaning Glenn would've survived, and Daryl wouldn't have been imprisoned by the Saviors.
I doubt that scene would have happened because Shane would have them take out the first group of saviors that tried to stop them. Rick just kept trying to go around but Shane would dropped that first small group and they've have been to get to hilltop and get Maggie help.
Shane was all about heading to Ft. Benning. We learned in Season 4 that Ft. Benning was over run. I think that after "Shane Killed Rick" he would have pushed to that base and him and the group would have died in route or once they entered the base would have been over run by the Walkers.
Also, I think the last of the bunch from Fort Benning was that squad of guys that the Governor mowed down.. which indicates that they all survived pretty long. That Dave guy could have been a liar tho. There are closer military bases to Nebraska than Fort Benning. I guess it's left up to cannon & the imagination. Why travel from Nebraska to Georgia.. for a military base ?? It's nit picking I guess.
I think most realistic thing to happen is Rick talks Shane down, Shane helps the group leave the farm but gets separated. During that first winter, Shane joins the Governor. He either fights on the side of or turns on the Governor. Either way eventually re-joining the group. And throughout the seasons, with Lori gone, Shane Rick & Daryl would be really close with little to no conflict with one another. Shane would help Rick keep Carl alive after Lori's death.
I used to hate your videos bc it’s all hypothetical, but I now have a profound appreciation for your videos. Your brain busting out all of these ideas with the amount of videos you push out impresses me. I’m here to say, you impress me. Awesome videos brother
Personally, I think Shane would’ve adopted some of ricks mindset kind of like Rick adopted Shane’s mindset in the later seasons. Rick and Shane are kind of like yin and Yang in the series. Shane adapted to the new world quickly but as time passes he will learn to become more middle grounded like Rick did.
Very good comment. It's sad that both didn't survive, but then that would have overshadowed Daryl anyway...and Norman is a fantastic actor. Too good to not see.
Now I'm really excited for walking dead destinies. Its a new game coming out with action gameplay mixed with Telltale decisions, the player rewrites seasons 1-4, what-if style. The biggest of which from the trailer yesterday, was Shane killing Rick during their confrontation. I think Shane will have no choice but to adapt to Rick's way of thinking, otherwise the group will collapse.
What made Shane lost his mind, is that for him Lori was his woman already, and then see her again with his best friend who he thought was dead, of course it would drive him crazy. But he was a good man, turned savage, but good man.
@@wevertonpereira21 Agree. The point is that Shane went too impulsive with a lot of things and it would break up the group eventually. It has a good side of course if you are capable of making hard decisions very quick but it is also a huge unnecesary risk. Shane was strong but too impulsive. At the start Rick was a bit weak but he always used his mind and thinking carefully what to do. They did a good job kiling the walkers in the barn but he also made a huge risk to open it uncontrolled and emotional. I wish Shane was still alive and would be best friends with Rick.
This is my first video of yours and the minute T-Dog yelled "What the hell is that?" and it was Negan with a whisperer mask.... I lost it and you earned a subscriber XD
I think realistically Shane would break after killing Rick at some point after, not right then but the guilt would haunt him. Shane was ahead of the curve because he knew how to get things done but it also was his detriment as he mentally wasn’t good with doing what needed to be done and so he likely goes off the deep end after the prison
The only scenario where i could see Rick and Shane BOTH surviving, is if Shane decided to run off with Andrea, deciding for whatever reason decided Lori ain't worth it and/or Rick calming him down, and Shane unable to be around Rick and his family.
Shane would've joined the saviors or the claimers, I think that if he did join Woodbury that he would not like it because he wouldn't wanna be taking orders from the governor. Same goes with negan, but I believe Shane wouldn't mind it. The saviors have a lot of resources, Shane would know that if he did anything against negan that it would waste his opportunity. Shane would definitely join the claimers, it would be a rough start but when they point a gun at rick in s4e16 Shane would kill the claimers, and he would see rick bite Joe's throat out. Shane would love this side of rick, so much so that I think in s5 when rick started wearing the brown shirt, Shane would take his murder jacket. When rick spares negan, Shane would replace daryl in s9e4. Honestly I have no idea if shane would even make it to s9, i think he would be killed in the lineup.
Simply, Rick’s short comings are a result of him being a better leader. Shane was willing to do what he believed needed to be done with very little regard for others. The tightness of the group is because Rick was willing to work things out but ultimately would put his foot down and pull the trigger if needed. Shane would’ve fractured the group early and gotten everyone killed.
I agree and think Shane would have been a terrible leader because for one I think he wouldn’t have protected the group like it was his family if anyone challenged him or he just didn’t like them he would have killed them I mean he even tried to kill Rick in the woods his best friend or at the very least he thought about it before dale caught him. Shane was way too unhinged and yeah people are becoming fans of him now but people seem to be forgetting he had a lot of bad qualities and came off too evil he did a lot of unethical things
@@Mari-il4bw Just to add on, he was becoming unhinged largely because he could Not handle what it took to take another life, and that's fair. It shouldn't be easy. The guilt was eating him up, and if he had taken Ricks life, it would have significantly increased the groups likelihood of falling to his hands, if not his plans.
I think if shane lived we wouldn't of got the governor in season 3 coz Shane would of just killed him . And I think the same with Negan. I doubt he'd of let Negan live after what he did to glen. Come to think of it without the governor they might of just stayed in the prison. So in a way if shane did live The walking dead would of ended a lot sooner.
Literally all I can think of is the school run where he ended up shooting Odis? (can’t remember the characters name) so that he could make it out. Shane would’ve sacrificed so many people just to make it to the next day had he stayed alive. Lori still would’ve died and he would’ve been enraged at the group for being ‘negligent’
Wow I love this! Except I don’t think the group as a whole would’ve wanted to follow Shane after the farm. Especially without Rick & Andrea. & I also think Shane would’ve had a reverse Rick & eventually learned to see the bigger picture while being able to revert back to “Crazy Shane” like Rick does with “Crazy Rick” he definitely would’ve started the Negan beef the exact same way but if Carl died he definitely would’ve killed Negan. Great video!
With Rick out of the way Shane would've eliminated people he thought was too weak. With Shane the group would've never made it to the prison because he would've either eliminated them or they would leave of his leadership or lack thereof. The only people Shane cared about was Lori, himself, the baby, and Carl. To Shane everyone else could take a flying f_____. Another scenario is Shane and Darryl bucking heads or Darryl just leaving the broken group to go find his brother. I'll tell you another little tidbit as well and that is Shane was spent. He knew it, so he wanted Rick to kill him because he couldn't bring himself to kill Rick. If Shane was in the lead Carol would've never lived to be the character she became; because she would've been deemed to weak and Shane would've eliminated her behind the group's back and that's when Darryl who suspects what Shane did leaves the group to go find his brother. Shane is not a leader. He's a substitute teacher. With Shane as the leader they would've never met Negan. "Here we are folks back in fantasy land." See what I did there?
Lol what a load of bs. Where's the evidence that Shane would eliminate the crew and just drive off with Lori and Carl in the sunset. He's not the Governor just blindly killing innocent lives left and right.
@@1roundleft821 He gives up on people easily. Back at the original camp he gave up on the ones who were trapped in a mall. Shot Otis in the leg so he could survive. Rick or Darryl would've figured out a way to so they both came back alive. How many times did he tell Lori that her, the baby, and Carl are the only ones he cares about? Lets say he shoots Rick in the head and goes back to the house what kind of BS story do you think he'll tell? Oh and on the way there he'll meet Carl? What story do you think he'll tell? Randall killed Rick. Good luck to him with selling that one.
Nah y'all give Shane a bad rap. He wasn't evil, he would have lead the group just in a practical way. And he most likely would have mellowed out the opposite of Rick since he was already brutal
@@rickpowers3677 He didn't just give up on Otis. Otis had a wounded leg and if Shane stayed they both would've died, resulting in Carl's death too. And even if Shane decided to sacrifice himself and give Otis the medicine, Otis would've probably died too which would also lead to Carl dying. So the only option left was for Shane to sacrifice Otis and save Carl. What would you do in that situation like that with a guy you met like yesterday?
George I've had to pause this halfway through to come down here and tell you that this is one of the best YT video's I've ever seen. Top class concept and storytelling, show knowledge, and also your editing to make shane have conversations with people 5+ seasons away from him is incredible, thank you for this video
Only problem is I dont think people would of followed Shane, and I think Daryl would of probably figured out Shane killed Rick. Best alternate situation for Shane and Rick is Shane left with or without Andrea back in season 2 like they'd planed and then a spin off of some sort or maybe just a random re-appearance from them in like season 6 or 7, maybe as a part of Negans group.
unrelated rant: I feel like T-dog and later Tyrese are such under used characters in the story that get treated as background characters (especially T-dog) I would have loved seeing those two interact on screen they seem like they'd get along and would make Tyrese a hardened survivor so he wouldn't get his fitting/annoying death so soon and actually have a long story arc.
Apparently T-dog was meant to be a more prevalent character but the actor was unreliable and would be late to filming so they ended up killing him off and going with carol being a more main character instead
@@TheBigsby111 I love what they did with Carol making her from abused housewife to badass but man I wish the show would have had less arguments/disagreements with actors from season 1 the original season 1-2 cast was so awesome.
I think that if both Rick and Shane had survived and were in agreement most of the time, Shane most likely would've been the one getting lucilled by Negan instead of Glenn or Abraham, and it would've had the same impact...maybe more so
I think one fatal flaw of thinking about "what if said character still lived" is that people generally expect that they were going to stay the way the were the last time we see them. Shane could've changed if he was still alive, and i don't think he would've stay the brutal practical leader type that he was. I like to think that maybe he would've have opposite arcs with Rick. When we're introduced to Alexandria, maybe he would've followed the rules and stayed out of trouble. I don't know. It's just kinda boring to imagine Shane just staying like his season 2 version forever.
I don’t believe Shane’s presence would be all the good endings your proposed. I strongly doubt Shane had the leadership skills as he devolved to hold the group together. They would have splintered and died one by one alone in a world that desperately required Alliances to survive. But maybe I just hate everything about Shane. Team Grimes for sure.
Shane surviving woulda changed Andreas death, actually that would be one of the main changes. Andrea had a thing for Shane after they hooked up, so she wouldn’t have stayed in Woodberry with Governor and probably dipped out with Machonne
Tbh in regards to the governor I feel like either Shane, Andrea and Michonne would’ve just kept on their way or Shane and the governor would’ve been good pals
Same. What for me hurts the most is he survived so long, despite never really been given much to do and when do they kill him? Shortly before Merle briefly rejoins the group! Such a missed opportunity to revisit the drama on the rooftop from season 1.
Even though Shane’s arc was short, it was pretty much PERFECT but I would’ve LOVED to have seen what might’ve been had he survived until their initial encounters with the Governor and Negan.
Always said this. And Shane would’ve realized that he needs the group to help keep Carl and Judith safe. That was Shane’s group from the beginning. And they followed Shane when he wanted to open the barn. Even when Rick was against it.they would’ve became who they are now faster. And probably would’ve took over Woodbury early on
@@conradwilliams5870 Bruh that is incorrect. When the walkers came out of the barn they had no choice to help Shane killing the zombies. No shit they helped Shane with the zombies. They would have been killed by the governor if they tried to take over Woodbury. Woodbury had way more people and they wouldnt have won against them in an attack.
One thing about the governor, he always was calculating moves even if Shane had live and gave me on the way to go was gonna just come back and take the prison or he would’ve seen a sign of weakness
See I think if Shane took Rick’s place as leader, I don’t think the group would’ve figured out as quickly that you could amputate a walker bite off. Shane didn’t value life as much and I don’t think he would’ve even tried to save Hershel after he was bit
It still bothers me that they killed him off and then have Merle rejoin the group briefly. Imagine the awesome callbacks to the rooftop. T-Dog insisting that the group has nothing to do with 'that bigot who beat him up' and Merle also wanting revenge for T-Dog and the key and him having to saw his arm off.
I kinda disagree on the Negan part. I think Shane would relate with him, as they're quite similar, they're both good people who cracked under the pressure of the apocalypse and came on the other side twisted but still having some kind of sense of justice, even tho again, that's twisted too, Negan with his rules and Shane still acting like a cop.
@westonmeyer3110 you think Shane wouldn't have been threatening him the night Glenn died? lmfao Negan would have totally offed him around the same time while everyone was kneeling. He would see him as a rabid dog needing to be put down.
ive always been bothered by how lil they care when they find tdogs been bitten then find his body.... but then i remember how tdog wanted to leave the group on multiple occasions lol
Since shane was a lot like season 5 wild rick, I don't think Negan would mess with him because in the show when negan watches the video that deanna took of s5 rick he said he wouldn't have messed with rick if he was like that still
Shane is one of my favorite characters for sure but I feel like he wouldn't of gotten too far if he lived lol. I know this is hypothetical but hypothetically speaking if he lived he wouldn't of attracted any allies . Woulda probably had some successful fights with humans / walkers and then by season 5-6 he be dead. Prob in the complete opposite direction of where Rick brought the group. He just a "blueprint" for Rick to enhance his survival and of the group. He was important to that degree no more. Shane wouldnt of learned anything from Rick if he surivived other then "SCREWING MAH WIFEEE"
One big thing i think has been overlooked is shane didnt want to go back for anyone that got seperated from the group rick was the one that wanted to save everyone shane would have left everyone to die except lori and carl
Realistically, I think if Shane had killed Rick they never would’ve made it to Alexandrea. I think his recklessness would’ve gotten people killed and the truth about that night with Rick would’ve come out sooner or later and from that point on there’s no respect for Shane and there’s fear so he either would’ve been abandoned, killed, or his sheer recklessness would’ve gotten them all killed
I don't know if I could really picture Shane surviving past their final encounter because he was too impulsive, Rick couldn't have lived alongside him knowing that Judith was Shane's and with Lori still alive, though I do think that if Shane had lived he would've handled Phillip, Alpha, and Negan a lot earlier than Rick did
Shane is too much like Abraham in terms of attitude, but unhinged obviously. Negan absolutely WOULD NOT keep Shane alive at the first meeting. He wouldn't even agree to start heading towards Washington like Rick did with Abraham, so Abraham probably isn't there either, leaving Shane the clear and obvious choice to take out. Even if Abraham was there, it would be those two for sure. So maybe Glenn lives in this alternative world.
I think seeing shane run off on his own and come back later on the show in simons position with the saviors would be cool. Then maybe he betrays the saviors and goes back with the group or something
The show wouldn't have sucked so much. Shane and Rick should have had a big fight near death and shane left with a couple of followers. Later seasons could have had them crossing paths and eventually making peace with the way everything played out.
No way would the group follow Shane after season 2. They’d definitely put two and two together after Glenn and Daryl reveal what happened to Randall, the only person who even liked was Carl at that point. It’d be a better idea to have him survive a fight with Rick with a serious injury, run into the woods and be found by Michonne, Andrea is not left at the farm (or maybe she is or maybe she dies) and they stick together until Woodberry where Shane becomes a trusted enforcer for the Governor
Everyone talks about the same thing when this topic comes up. Everyone talks about how Shane was more ruthless, but nobody talks about the other variables. Shane may have been ruthless, but he was NOT the leader that Rick was. Think about it, the group had been with Shane for weeks, and then the moment another leader came around, they jumped off the Shane wagon immediately. Rick literally walked up and took the keys to the car. Thats because Shane was not the leader that Rick was, and they all knew that instantly. Daryl did not respect Shane and would not have followed him long term. Remember, him and Meryle were planning to rob the camp and probably kill Shane in the process. Even Meryl eventually submitted to Ricks lead. Shane was not capable of coming up with plans or evaluating situations like Rick does. His blind aggression would have eventually gotten himself killed along with other group members. Yes Shane would have definitely took his opportunity in that room with the Governor. But the Governor was prepared and ready for something to pop off. What about the people outside? Do yall think Daryl and Hershel wouldve won that fight? Maybe, maybe not. But these are all things that Rick evaluates before he just starts shooting up the place. Shane doesnt have that mindset. He would not have had the muscle of Daryl by his side, and the group never would have had the opportunity to grow because again, he didnt trust anyone. He didnt have the social skills of Rick so people like Michonne and Gabriel would not have joined the group. No Daryl, No Michonne, No Gabriel, they would have been much weaker by the time they met Negan. I dont think Shane makes it out of the forest where they first met Negan, unless he submitted and decided to join him. He definitely wouldnt have been able to come up with a plan and lead all the different communities in the war against Negan. He just would've gotten everyone one killed.
I agree with everything you said but have you seen how tall Phillip (the Governor) was? Shane would be like a midget next to him. He couldn't do nothing. The next tall guy after the Governor is Negan(Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Negan would kill him first.
@@dora1980heigh doesn’t always mean something lmao. Shane was more built and athletic than the Governor and has more training hand to hand. Got better inverse debatably as well. Shane woulda bodied the governor in a fist fight.
Would have been brilliant as he was one of my favourite characters and still peeves me off they killed him.But personally i would have preferred rick to open his eyes in the hopsital at the commonweatlth and he sees Shane standing there who had left the group years ago instead of being killed to end up joining the commonwealth
This just all assumes things don't happen that we KNOW of, but doesn't account for anything we do NOT know of. For sure people wouldn't follow Shane the way they did Rick, that impact could be massive.
Shane would have been really off of the deep end if he was still around. He lost it in S2. He was ahead of the group as far as "what needs to be done " but he compromised the group, almost getting them kicked off of the farm multiple times because he didn't think, he was too hot headed. He wanted Lori for himself, and Carl willing to kill his best friend over them. Being with them and leader wouldn't have been enough. He didn't plan, see things that were coming, he wouldn't have saved members of the group in trouble, but he would have left them. He wanted to leave Sophia, Think if that was your child... The group wouldn't have survived. He was more Gun ho than Rick, but Rick's patience and way of reading people and foreseeing and planning saved the group.
Michonne likely wouldn't have reached the prison since if Lori was alive they wouldn't have needed to go on the formula run and now I'm going down the entire rabbit hole
If she had trouble producing milk for the baby they might have still needed the formula run. She would’ve lost a lot of blood, probably been unconscious for a long time and probably hasn’t been eating/drinking enough to produce so it’s very likely that still would’ve happened.
Man I miss how good this show was. Shane and Rick were the perfect duo for this series it’s a shame Shane dies in season 2 but for good reason it’s crazy how even later in the good seasons with Rick you would still think about Shane from time to time even tho he’s gone
Faults and all aside I think Shane surviving would have shown more about his past and former relationships which may shed light on the love for his friend to try and save him and then to at least make sure he saves ricks family knowing the odds of rick survivg the hospital was slim he then assume ricks position more as a place of honor, duty, and respect as that is what it was at first and its hard to fall out of love with someone especially given the circumstances stances. And lori messing with Shane's head on the farm would lead well into Lori's comic book death which I agree with and shane getting over it fast bc she was essentially the reason he had to kill his best friend. Despite ricks objectively bad decisions up until the prison and regardless of what anyone says shane was the most realistic. Anyone of us would do anything to save our child and in the zombie apocalypse your head state would cause you ondo things you would bash Shane for. Rick far exceeded Shane in dark casualness by the time they got to the prison. Shane wasnt always a bad guy. But he was always an anti hero. And that is the objectively therealest image of who would survive. There are no good or bad guys.. its just those who are willing to do what it takes to survive and then those who enjoy it. But then again Shane and Lori could have just been having an affair before the walkers came 😅
I'd kill to see this happen or even Shane lowering the gun and Rick sparing his life. I know its tough to think of it but Shane would've been like Merle, wanting to fight and ambush the governor and everything. Who knows, maybe if that happened it could've been Shane and Merle teaming up to ambush the governor. Maybe they could've succeeded or possibly died.
I think Negan would’ve killed Shane in the lineup, I think his reason for killing Abraham wasn’t random, Abraham was the most physically intimidating and was the only person to stay calm, he stayed quiet and stared Negan down, I think Shane would have been similar and as their leader, Negan would’ve killed Shane and if he ended up killing someone else he would’ve killed Abraham
If Shane lovers actually thought about they would know that Shane would be with the bikers that claim shit. I mean look how fast he claimed Lori and Carl and how he thought Lori didn't have a choice.
lost me at point (not that shane would have brought the group to prison at all) where you say Hershel would still be alive if Shane was in charge. Hershel WAS only alive because Rick saved him. Why skip that important part?
I’d never expect this but what if there was like a mini comic series where Shane killed Rick and led the group, but they just go over how different the main plot points in TWD would be. Maybe some situations are avoided, some worse off than the true story.
I wonder if daryl would have followed shane like he did Rick. I feel like Shane and daryl may have ended up being in a similar situation as Shane and Rick and fought to the death as well
Saying Shane would get over Lori quick is not realistic. He literally went crazy and was willing to kill his best friend because of his love for Lori. If anything, I think her death would have put him over the edge in a different way, such as him going ballistic against the Governor, which she dies in the comics based on his ambush, and then Shane losing it towards the Gov would be the downfall of the rest of his group, because he'd probably be quicker to sacrifice any of his group aside from Lori and Carl.
Funny thing is no matter how mad Shane would’ve gotten, the Governor would’ve still kicked his ass badly. The Governor is by far one of the most lethal hand to hand combat fighters in the series ever
@ are you talking comics or show? Because I don’t remember them going into detail of his background in the comics but if my memory serves he got his ass kicked in both the show and comics by Michonne. It was just that he had the charming cult following aspect where he had people work for him. The show, it made zero sense that he was this “elite” hand to hand combat expert since his background was he’s a former teacher and nothing more explains why he was able to get the best of a former military badass like Merle and a former police officer in Rick. I will say Meryl was drunk and Governor got him in a tight quarter and had the size advantage so it felt like Meryl kind of went in knowing this is suicide and didn’t put up a fight like he could’ve. Governor beating Rick I think was more of a size advantage thing than anything but it felt weird since nothing about his background explained why he’s this great hand to hand combat guy, so I don’t think it’s as simple as saying he’s the best in the show but he did take advantage of Meryl who showed he was one of the best and took advantage of Rick but Rick’s more of a scrappy fighter who is like Rocky, takes punishment and sustains it. I think Shane would’ve made that way more of a fight between him and the governor in hand to hand combat. Shane was bigger, more athletic and more of a hot head, which could help or hurt.
@@KTRomero-lb2wpso is Shane. The Governor didn’t even beat a fully fit Rick. Rick was injured in his dominant hand - Governor was injured as well but Shane was the only one who properly hurt Rick badly when he was fully fit. Rick only got decent hits on Shane when Shane was distracted with a gun to Randall.
@@KTRomero-lb2wpShane literally had Rick nearly knocked out with one headbutt and could have hurt him more but then reaches for ricks gun showing he wasn’t focused on fighting Rick but still was able to hurt him. Then again when Shane lands that last elbow or hook to Rick , he dazes him and ragdolls Rick to the floor where he could have caved his head in but no desperately leaves a bike on him without even checking to see if Rick was out or not- to then go grab the gun to shoot Randall. Showing his head wasn’t even in the fight, then Rick just luckily sneak attack Shane when Shane has both hands on the gun. Shane even tells him multiple times to just get off him but Rick takes advantage of Shane’s hands occupied with the gun and manages to mount him and get a few punches in. Before that sneak attack - Rick was getting bodied
Can you make what if: Shane never loved Lori ( means Rick and Shane could be friends through the series ) woodbury / the governor never existed the bridge in season 9 was never worked on eugene never said he doesnt know a cure and they went to dc instead of the humans eating humans in season 5 they somehow find Negans group in Season 5 and join them I think they would be the most interesting ones which changed the story the most
And btw this video was not really a what if because the story did not change. You only said what Shane would do in Ricks position. I think the biggest story changes would have started at season 5. Shane would have killed all the people at Sanctuary and take it over instead of going in for help, protect it like the Prison. They never would have gotten to Alexandria and everything what happend after

True story
Damn🤯
I doubt that scene would have happened because Shane would have them take out the first group of saviors that tried to stop them. Rick just kept trying to go around but Shane would dropped that first small group and they've have been to get to hilltop and get Maggie help.
@@CL053DC45K37then it would’ve been a war at hilltop, which ultimately is better than that line up
Shane was all about heading to Ft. Benning. We learned in Season 4 that Ft. Benning was over run. I think that after "Shane Killed Rick" he would have pushed to that base and him and the group would have died in route or once they entered the base would have been over run by the Walkers.
True. And ye's the type to sacrifice everyone and anyone to "keep Lori and Carl safe" so eventually it would have been just them 4 imo
In season 2 Dave said that Ft. Benning was over run not season 4
It was season 2 we found out Ft. Benning fell, when Rick shot the guys at the bar
Na they wouldn’t die they would have gotten trough it somehow 😂 gotta continue the series

@@lonezome understandable
Personally, I think Shane would’ve adopted some of ricks mindset kind of like Rick adopted Shane’s mindset in the later seasons. Rick and Shane are kind of like yin and Yang in the series. Shane adapted to the new world quickly but as time passes he will learn to become more middle grounded like Rick did.
Very good comment. It's sad that both didn't survive, but then that would have overshadowed Daryl anyway...and Norman is a fantastic actor. Too good to not see.
@@315katty What you mean Rick is still alive
I like to think that even Rick didn't stab him on that hill, Shane would just shoot himself.
One of the things I’d love to see adapted into a what if type episode or mini series.
That is what Tales of the Walking Dead should have been rather than a steaming pile 💩.

Prolly they all would be the dead when the horde attacked the camp, if it weren't for Rick's weapons.
I think if shane lived we wouldn't of got the governor in season 3 coz Shane would of just killed him .
And I think the same with Negan. I doubt he'd of let Negan live after what he did to glen.
Come to think of it without the governor they might of just stayed in the prison.
So in a way if shane did live
The walking dead would of ended a lot sooner.
The hit marker into Let her Go was hilarious
@@1roundleft821fr

This is one of the best videos I’ve watched in six months
Oddly specific bruv
I think Shane would had been another Negan but maybe worse somehow. I must admit Shane was the most realistic of all.
There's always room for corrections.
Tyrese from the comics is a much more utilized character. I don’t know what the writers were thinking but TV tyrese is a name only kind of character.
Love T-dog and Tyrese 😢
@@TheBigsby111 I love what they did with Carol making her from abused housewife to badass but man I wish the show would have had less arguments/disagreements with actors from season 1 the original season 1-2 cast was so awesome.
I think that if both Rick and Shane had survived and were in agreement most of the time, Shane most likely would've been the one getting lucilled by Negan instead of Glenn or Abraham, and it would've had the same impact...maybe more so
I know right
I think one fatal flaw of thinking about "what if said character still lived" is that people generally expect that they were going to stay the way the were the last time we see them.
So True, gotta put that into consideration but it's definitely a toss up because he could've even became worse than season 2.
T dogs death still hurts me… I like carol but t dog would’ve been much better
Lori still had a pretty high chance of dying in childbirth either way honestly
This editing is so realistic!
I really loved this video!! Shane is one of my favorites, I really wish he was in the show longer! So this was great to explore, thank you!

Man, you killed me XD I nearly choked to death on my cigarette.
One thing about the governor, he always was calculating moves even if Shane had live and gave me on the way to go was gonna just come back and take the prison or he would’ve seen a sign of weakness
You should do what if Merle survived I always wanted to see Merle and Negan meet that was a missed opportunity
See I think if Shane took Rick’s place as leader, I don’t think the group would’ve figured out as quickly that you could amputate a walker bite off. Shane didn’t value life as much and I don’t think he would’ve even tried to save Hershel after he was bit

T-Dog such a great character. Miss him.
I've always wondered about such a scenario. You made a brilliant video here, mate.

Please do an entire video on T dog , not much is known about the character
I would love to see this animated. I know they can't bring all the actors back, but that would be an awesome, at least miniseries.
" just say those 2 magical words "
" shut up, just shut up and give me the guns " 😩😂 your edits are brilliant
I don't know if I could really picture Shane surviving past their final encounter because he was too impulsive, Rick couldn't have lived alongside him knowing that Judith was Shane's and with Lori still alive, though I do think that if Shane had lived he would've handled Phillip, Alpha, and Negan a lot earlier than Rick did
Шейн был слишком импульсивным, вероятнее всего все закончилось бы в 5 сезоне
I loved how you cut shanes clips in here and there
This was top notch😂
You should have done it where the timeline starts with Shane LEAVING with the prisoner at the barn. Then comes back at the lineup OR Woodbury 😮😮
"I'll have you know that [Carol] would never hurt a child"
??? She literally kills 1 and psychologically tortures another.

Ricks group was strong becuz they considered themselves a family. That wouldn’t be the case with Shane.
He wanted to leave Sophia,
Think if that was your child...
The group wouldn't have survived. He was more Gun ho than Rick, but Rick's patience and way of reading people and foreseeing and planning saved the group.
What shane didnt realize is you can survive without being a complete nutjob
Daryl and gleen figured out shane was trying to kill rick so it wouldnt go well
Michonne likely wouldn't have reached the prison since if Lori was alive they wouldn't have needed to go on the formula run and now I'm going down the entire rabbit hole
If she had trouble producing milk for the baby they might have still needed the formula run. She would’ve lost a lot of blood, probably been unconscious for a long time and probably hasn’t been eating/drinking enough to produce so it’s very likely that still would’ve happened.
This was good brother.🤠
Man I miss how good this show was. Shane and Rick were the perfect duo for this series it’s a shame Shane dies in season 2 but for good reason it’s crazy how even later in the good seasons with Rick you would still think about Shane from time to time even tho he’s gone
now there is a video game coming about this
The multiple times Let Her Go started playing was gold
need more twd vids 💯
But then again Shane and Lori could have just been having an affair before the walkers came 😅
walking dead destinies video game is coming, and you can play as rick or shane, each one of these characters dies you can play as shane
I’m gonna try to keep both Rick and Shane alive
Also can we get a What If T-Dog Survived Video?
It would of just been another black guy on earth
Great cuts man
I disagree with Andrea still being dead if Shane were alive. She probably wouldn't have been screwing the governor
When she came to visit the prisoners shane wouldn't let her leave to go back
I genuinely think Negan would have killed Shane. I think your right until then but Negan would not want Shane to be alive.
I think Shane probably would've killed Hershel after he got bit too, I don't think he would've thought as fast as Rick did.
It was awesome watching Jon Bernthal's portrayal of Shane just going further and further off the deep end.
I hated when they killed off Abraham i thought he would be the best replacement for rick if he died.
Starting to think you'd fell off the planet 🤣🤣 get fear watched n give us a decent review 🤣🤣 hope all is well
If Shane lovers actually thought about they would know that Shane would be with the bikers that claim shit. I mean look how fast he claimed Lori and Carl and how he thought Lori didn't have a choice.
Shane didn't associate either low lives.
MAYBE JUST DO A WHAT IF WHERE HE ACTUALLY LEAVES LIKE HE SAID
lost me at point (not that shane would have brought the group to prison at all) where you say Hershel would still be alive if Shane was in charge.
I feel like Shane and daryl may have ended up being in a similar situation as Shane and Rick and fought to the death as well
I don't think Shane would of spared Negan , no way
If they made two versions where Rick survived and where Shane survived I surely would’ve watched both no question!
@ I’m talking about the show
@@KTRomero-lb2wpso is Shane.
T-dog was one of my favorite characters
Can you make what if:
Shane never loved Lori ( means Rick and Shane could be friends through the series )
woodbury / the governor never existed
the bridge in season 9 was never worked on
eugene never said he doesnt know a cure and they went to dc instead of the humans eating humans in season 5
they somehow find Negans group in Season 5 and join them
I think they would be the most interesting ones which changed the story the most
And btw this video was not really a what if because the story did not change. You only said what Shane would do in Ricks position. I think the biggest story changes would have started at season 5. Shane would have killed all the people at Sanctuary and take it over instead of going in for help, protect it like the Prison. They never would have gotten to Alexandria and everything what happend after
you know alexandria is in dc right
