    I praise glycolic acid. That is the one thing that completely changed my skin from dull, dry, flaky, it looked cracked, and it felt so tight to, now, (still) dry if I don’t keep on top of my skincare, but as long as I do it is glowy, smooth, so youthful looking. I look younger now at 33 than I did at 27 and I know it’s due to glycolic acid because that was the only thing I changed until rather recent.

    I have seborrheic dermatitis on my face. I found a pyrithione zinc castile face wash thats amazing. I use a very mild moisturizer and seal with vaseline. I do this every two or three days and wash with a moisturizing cleanser for balance. I also switched to Vaseline as a primer for when my skin is cooperating enough to wear makeup.

    Would love to know a skincare prep for this! I see certain people use very creamy, hydrating skincare combos (surely helps) but from what I’ve noticed, just moisturizing and/or using a silicone primer helps significantly But does not entirely cut it. It’s in excess (skin loves to absorb asap). Would love to know what may help (and preferably is very affordable) 😂✨ :: might try serums or even creamy sunscreens as makeup bases.

    • @pennycandyys
      @pennycandyys ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jasmine215100 Are the tetracyclines prescribed by a doctor? That seems really risky, an antibiotic needs to fully kill whatever you have or whatever you have will just get stronger so the antibiotic doesn’t work. That’s internally , I’m not sure if it’s externally. You don’t want to mess around and not be able to use an abx in the future though, you could come down with something that the tetracycline is the best to treat it.

      You have to keep using it consistently before you pass the peeling stage. I’ve been peeling for two months, and I am barely starting to pass the peeling stage! I started using it once every other day, and after two weeks, I started using it every single day. Except there were days where my skin would get two irritated and I’d let my skin heal for a day or two then I’d start back up again. It has literally taken me over two months to get past the peeling stage. Now my skin is starting to peel a lot less if any, and I’m using it every single night. Although I’m using tretinoin.

    Glycolic acid is the biz. Olay used to have a very mild scrub in the Regenerist line, and, paired with its overnight pore corrector cream, it made both hellish, flaky winter skin or sweaty, rashy summer skin so much better by the next day. Can’t believe they discontinued those products. They were so accessible and really worked.

    I get those flakes when I use my Retinol. It makes me very torn between not wanting to use the Retinol vs knowing that at age 45 I definitely should use it. Is Glycolic Acid still the solution even if it is from using my Retinol cream?

      Personally I like the ordinary toner one as it’s 7% as well as affordable. If in the UK Superdrug do their own and it’s 5%. Also a toner. Try beauty bay or cult beauty. Both have a selection of glycolic acid toners and serums. Just be sure to check the %.

      Oh it depends on so many things... maybe these two products are not working together like if makeup is oil based and SPF also oil based. Or just sunscreen is oil based. I'd wear these products separately🙁 sometimes some ingredients just cannot match together.

      @adrijanaemilieconroy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheKarebear666 to me, she sounds like she has a Montreal accent. The city is pretty bilingual, and a lot of people have this really soft accent that I personally find hard to replicate or place. I usually catch it if they say "hands", it's kind of like they round out the short "a" sound.
      But I didn't think about Lebanese, I didn't realise they speak French?

    • @Stilbe
      @Stilbe ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jiminiefairy you should try using products with the same base. Either all water, oil or silicone. If you use different bases it might cause them to separate, just like how water doesn't mix with oil, or silicone or etc.

    I wish someone told me that about glycolic acid sooner. I didnt know i had seborrheic dermatitis until my autoimunne response got irritated by this particular acid. My skin just cant tolerance glycolic acid. Now due to this stupid experiment of trying to take care of my decolt too I have fungal acne on my chest and neck which i cant seen to get rid of, once and for all, and constant redness around my nose, plus bumps in the area when it lashes out, so yeah, i guess i will be figting that till my dying day, didnt know this condition is so hard to cure when it got created so suddenly
