That is very effective. I used to clean using the hammer method and found putting in my bench vice and tightening broke the plastic off really well also. I think the method you showed is very quick in comparison. Thank you for sharing that.

When I took a jar of these with plastic still on to scrap yard, they didn't want them.

The recyclers I have just classifies No1 and No2 copper. No bare bright or anything else. No doubt he's ripping people off, but have to drive 100 miles to get fair market value.. so what cha gonna do right. So I mix them in with no 2 that has solder on some. I guess it varies where you're from.

Mosefts have small amount of gold bond wires in so why don't you burn and crush. You can then pan for gold and have the copper you can just sieve out

You know most of those have a miniscule drop of gold inside them, right? 999 Dusan did a video on them.

@@buddybelew7691 yeah, it's one of those things, that only you can decide. For many of us, if we're already going after the gold in the ic's by incinerating them, we'd just throw these in too. Three legged resistors, LEDs, etc. It all gets burned. But yeah, it's a personal decision.

@@buddybelew7691 I did a first time burn the other day. I threaded them on stainless spokes and did kabobs. Make sure to let them go to white ash. I used a broken up crate in a Weber BBQ that I picked up on the curb. Then I put them all on the ground and just walked on them and twisted a bit. 1 lb. of Cu. I re-threaded them onto some copper wire to keep them organized.
