  • How to control Lutron Caseta devices with Hubitat Elevation This video describes the Lutron setup using the Lutron Smartphone app and the hubitat setup using the desktop Since Hubitat does not have built in Lutron Caseta RA2 Integration, you must use the Lutron SmartBridge Pro The non-pro SmartBridge will not work with Hubitat
The demonstration is done with a Lutron Pico Remote, however, I also have Lutron dimmers connected in my smart home

Thanks for the instructions. Super easy to follow and when crossing products ( hubitat and Caseda for example) it's not evidently clear on either's website how to integrate. I hooked up my system a couple of months ago after watching this. Yesterday i decided to add some Pico's and this was quick enough to go back and review as a refresher!.

@diy smart home do you have a solution to control a fan and light fixture from a single gang switch box ?

Great video. I attempted to follow along, but I’m not getting current state button presses. So the remote isn’t working, however to virtual buttons in the dash work. Any clue what I am missing? Thanks!

Great intro on Hubitat. Are there any other videos that you have prepared oj Hubitat and integration of various devices...(Especially GE Wink dimmable lamps). Thanks ;)

How is your experience with the range on these pico remotes?

Any idea if the smartbridge pro2 works? I just realized as I was trying to migrate to hubitat (and watching your video) that my non pro smartbridge wasn't going to work

Correct me if I'm wrong but I am assuming that integrating Lutron with Hubitat will allow users to control any device connected to Hubitat with a Pico remote.

I'm planning for a whole house remodel and looking to use the Lutron Caseta Dimmers and switches throughout. My PICOs are to be used as 3-way switches only. Also have some Phillips Hue strip lights. I was looking for a single hub approach and thought Wink was it until further research and your video put an end to that option. If going to Hubitat, why the need for the RA2 Repeaters? Was looking to set up the custom scenes in Hubitat and using Amazon Echo to request those.

Thank you for the great advice. I have the Lutron Smart Bridge but I don' think it's the PRO version. Will it still work with the Hubitat hub to control my Caseta switches?

I need to pay better attention! You were VERY clear that the standard smart bridge would NOT work so I've ordered a Pro version. THANKS for your GREAT videos!!! VERY helpful!

Why not just import the json data from the Lutron integration support. Why should I have to manually add each item? Seems short sighted.

Moving over from Wink Hub 2 to Hubitat Elevation. Been 1 day and I'm blown away by the features. I have 2 Lutron switches I controlled directly from my Wink. Do I need to purchase a Lutron Hub? Or can I control my Lutron switches from my hubitat using the Wink hub?

@@DIYSmartHomeGuy1 It would be interesting to see if you could get the Lutron Connected Bulb Remotes to work with Hubitat this way. I already bought the Pro2 Lutron bridge and 3 Picos as I finish up my switch from Wink to Hubitat. But sitting here waiting for the bridge software to update so I can continue setting up.

To be clear, you do not need to use rules to bind pic remotes when using Caseta dimmers. The lutron bridge has these bindings in the lutron app. In fact, you can even bind a single remote to multiple dimmers, as is the default behavior when installing by room.

I appreciate the content of this video, but it's almost impossible to hear you. The audio on this video is far too quiet. If you right click on the video and select 'Stats for nerds', you can see that TH-cam measures the audio as about 15 dB too quiet. It would be great to see audio on future videos bumped up by at least 10 dB so that we can better hear what you're saying.
