Strelitzia is really not that amazing. The way she's written isn't that different from Kairi.
We see her for only a few moments before she is killed, and made completely useless.
Kairi and Strelitzia are both compelling characters, if only Nomura would put them to use.
@@zen-ari3774 for myself my love for strelitzia's character comes from how very blatantly the story says that she was meant to play a bigger role (as a union leader) even if it is undercut by her untimely death (which can be an interesting writing tactic. she had her goal of talking to the player character and was SO CLOSE to doing so, and missed them by a few minutes and then died not fulfilling her goal. it's how you make deaths in writing more impactful when you hammer home their reasons for being/acting/what they fight/live for)
and then with the nod's to her character, and the background knowledge of how kh characters rarely stay dead, there's now a good chance strelitzia COULD come back and relevant again.
what makes her interesting is that she has always had potential to be important.
...and now that i think about it kairi has too. and nomura just REALLY doesn't seem to want to do anything actually useful with her (unless melody of memory has anything to say about that).
oh snap you're right. i love both characters, think they got shafted too soon, and nomura apparently hates female characters being consistently important (aqua being not that great of a character imo is a whole other can of worms)

As much as I love union-x/unchained-x/chi's storyline I can't help but find it bittersweet that such phenomenonal storytelling is on a frickin mobile game. This story is miles better than what we got with Kingdom Hearts 3 and it deserves justice. It deserves top of the line graphics, beautifully crafted cutscenes, stellar voice acting and don't even get me started on gameplay. Having such a amazing game on a mobile device feels like such a slap in the face.
i agree that the premise is SUPER cool. the thing is, it doesn't feel like a kingdom hearts game to me. like, it's like a similar setting and ideas (keyblades, hearts, darkness and light) but the characters, the mystery, the stakes feel weightier. like this feels like writing that's too good for kingdom hearts and should have been it's own original story.
All true, and to add kh also had scrapped ff13 hidden in it. And it got darker but really it always had potential, above all it is se made it. Its kinda like how dark legend of Zelda is but i guess making it toony partially hid dark in story. I mean if some these storries were books, what would we imagine as read

I really like Strelitzia's story arc, one of the more tragic ones in the series, but I fear it's gonna get ruined pretty soon. After all, in the words of someone smarter than me:

Considering there are 7 lights that manifest as the Princesses of Heart after the original keyblade broke, wouldn't it make sense that there are 13 darknesses that manifest in the hearts of others such as Ventus with Vanitas?
Why does one of the better characters have to be in a mobile game? :'(
KHUX has the best story of all KH Games.
@@sinom not sure I'd call it the best of all the KH games, imo KH1 is more solid, but of the modern ones? certainly.
it works because, beyond maybe maleficent, there isn't a million connections to a bunch of other games to make it work. sure seeing the origins ventus, marluxia, and larxene is nice for old players, but they're unique characters to this individual game.
the plot is simple, yet still deep, and is completely standalone, something no other modern KH game can do. Hell, look at KH3, which basically requires you to have played at least DDD to get a semblance of whats up.
sadly it's let down by subpar gameplay and a rediculous amount of filler.
The mobile game releases actually story so rarely that i cant call it good. But streletzia barely has any screen time or character development. We just know shes really nice, liked our character. And then died before she could eb a u ion leader. Thats about all we know about her tbh

The way this game seems to use "pure hearts", i dont think streletzia is done. If even ephemer was able to somehow help sora, im sure streletzia will show up during the foreteller arc.

...But what happened to Gula? We next see him at the wastelands during the conflict. Notice in the warehouse he stepped out of the shadows like Ven and Darkness did...

Absolutely, we cannot rule out that it was Darkness posing as Gula. It's possible that if our character wasn't there then Skuld may have ventured in alone and she may have been targeted for her rulebook instead of Strelitzia
@@damo Which brings up how the may-have-been Darkness knew the contents of the Lost Page, which was noticably more detailed and didn't line up with what was said about it in Back Cover, only mentioning the person with the sigil.
I can't help but wonder about the eyes on Vanitas' keyblade and Riku's Soul Eater. Assuming Vanitas is associated with Darkness, or at least knows of them, could one of those eyes be Darkness', allowing them prophetic abilities similar to the Master?
Seeing the information about Strelezia compiled so compact, it should gave me another idea.
What if the dark chirithy was lying to the player about being ours, but instead was Strelezia's?
It actually makes sense:
It was strelezia's own chirithy that lead her to the warehouse. We already know darkness can disguise itself, so appearing as a normal chirithy at that point isn't a problem.
We don't know if the chirithy was with her all the way to the warehouse, and the only one who could tell for sure is her., but she's dead now.
So my theory is as follows:
1. Strelezia's chirithy (disguised as normal) sees us entering the warehouse and teleports to its owner to inform her.
2. It teleports back afterwards and confronts us as the dark chirithy. This is just darkness' plan to finally be set free from its current host.
3. After being defeated by us, Ven appears at the Warehouse and Darkness takes possesion of him for now.
4. Strelezia enters the warehouse as well, but is actually alone. The chirithy we see with her is just a false memory of Ven, manipulated by darkness.
5. Darkness kill Strelezia and makes Ven a new Union leader to be able to enter the Data Worlds as well.
I wonder if the Player Character will be mentioned in a normal KH game.
The music theme you have playing in the background is just beautiful and sad at the time. For the first half I mean. It reminds me of the ending of birth by sleep and aqua remembering everyone. She was the truth main character of that game to me!
Again. I WISH!!!!!! union X was a full fledged KH 3D MMO. God it would be so good to play.
Very nice explanation. Kinda sad that these games need an in depth explanation of multiple side games to uncover these truths.
My one complaint is that this makes things more confusing, but that’s a small price to pay for a great character.

The MOM is Ephemer when he was younger. His eye color matches with the one on the NO NAME keyblade. The only one with a strange green blueish color and black pupil.

But thing is we have seen that the only way to bring people like her back, is to use the power of waking, which is very hard to get in the first place. In soras case her overused it and “died “

And eventually laurium in the others will separate by traveling through the ark into the future after they figure out what trials had to place after strelitzia is deaf and why she died
And now we'll see why lauriam was so determined out of Good Intentions even though they started off evil to desperately take control of the keyblade wielders Sora and overthrow the organization alongside elrena can come whole again and keep good on his word to his sister and now that the original secrets of Darkness have been defeated elrena in laurium return to their original selves and carry out their true promise in the mysteries of bad is still yet to be unrivaled when they become whole again

This is the saddest case of Bury Your Gays I've ever seen, and I really hope Lauriam eventually learns who the culprit is.
I'm glad this video was brought up because it was raising my suspicious of why strelitzia was killed I believe one of the reasons why she was killed was because Master Ava chose her to be a union leader regardless of the Masters list of her name in the book of Prophecy someone got wind that Master Ava was trying to change the fate of the World by fling The Deadly Alliance into an alternate reality being that she gave strelitzia the book as a struct as she also instructed her with a mission of her own but someone must like luxu want to stop this so okay I'm going to use the card or someone else got wind of Master Ava's plan and has philothea assassinated whoever this perpetrator was we already know what to be ventas but we already came to find out that he was being used through Darkness so happened to stock think it was also want to stop her from changing the Destinies what was written in the book
And killing strelitzia lauriam sister was the first agent in that plan to avert Master Ava's plan was put in motion but her plan still Foster with the other new union leaders but that doesn't mean Darkness has stopped his plan whoever this darkness is who pretended to be the Master Ava
I was just glad her brother didn't kill her, before certain story quests were added it seemed possible. Because I thought a certain leader didn't have a keyblade. But then ven back story. No wonder earquis said kill him. I was not a ven fan so ida not minded him dead
Thanks for the update!! I feel they didn't cover the story very well in the cutscenes they gave us in the ps4 collection. Will they try to catch people up who didn't play the mobile games?
I always saw Back Cover as more of a supplement to the mobile game, not a replacement unfortunately, and Strelitzia wasn't even introduced by the time the KHx Back Cover movie came out on the PS4. Given how important she is to the overall story, let alone everything else that has happened in the years since, I'm sure at some point there will be a game/movie telling this story to those that never got around to playing the mobile game
@@damo It would be awesome if the rumored disney+ show covers this story but I doubt disney would want a show focusing on their main characters being an illusion. But here's to wishful thinking!
Being that Master Ava couldn't believe what she heard she had to strike back at loose you who she couldn't believe was a part of the Master's plan to begin with and she couldn't believe their Master put up such a treacherous plan when after they were given instructed these missions the first of the foretellers so she had to rebel against this idiotic plan a conquest in evil and whatever this plans you figure out it was for she had to investigate by rebelling

If we're following the biblical analogy, it probably comes down to free will. And I think nonviolent resistance is part of it; the scene where the MoM is talking to Isa makes it seem like he regrets the Keyblades.
