Ok, has Jane aged at all in the last 7 years? I can't remember when I subbed now, but she looks the exact same
Jane is a vampire. I thought you knew.
@@SimuLordI was unaware. Now she's gonna bite me. Uh-oh.
@@shanemc1202 On the bright side, you'll embark the following day on a wild adventure across Los Angeles full of sexy fun...unless you pick Nosferatu, in which case it's rat blood for you, all you can drink.
Wait she isn't the female version of Dorian gray ?
you mean better lol
Romance: Can have multiple routes over multiple playthroughs
Fans: There will be only one
Mass Effect fans: And it shall be anyone other than Jacob...
*Queen’s Princes of the Universe intensifies*
@AncestorEmpireGaming was thinking that too...
@@Jedi_Spartan_38 Yeah even the mind vampire chick is a better choice.
lol… I have this mindset in far too many games 😂 I get so attached to one character that I hate choosing any other. For instance in Fire Emblem 3 Houses, which is one of my favorite games ever, I only played the other routes besides Blue Lions one time each, whereas I’ve played the Blue Lions Route like 10 times at least, all bc I want to romance Dimitri, and even if I do romance Felix or someone else, it makes me way too sad how he ends up in every other route 😅
A reminder that Garrus Vakarian is either your best friend, your lover or both. Legendary character that's impossible to *not* love in some capacity.
as long as nothing needs calibrating
Garrus will always be my first choice.
The guy is just to badass.
Garrus is the daddy
I like garrus but hardly ever use him i prefer the krogans for the muscle
There's no Shepard without Vakarian 😭
It's worth noting that romancing River in Cyberpunk 2077 ends up being hilarious when Johnny chews you out for having relations with a cop.
Johnny: fuck the police
V: I’m trying!
Johnny: what?
Johnny feels everything you do, so that makes sense. He's literally being clapped by a cop.
okay but also, once you do, you get a tank top that says "Fuck the Police" - which implies that River had that in V's size and then gave it to them to wear the morning after. Chef's kiss on that one. Love a man who can tell a good joke 😂
Tbf, V's awkward flirting in Cyberpunk is pretty realistic
Yeah, I'd be lucky to string a complete sentence together after meeting Panam tbh
Well, nothing is as awkward as V's dance moves.
*Commander Sheppard has entered the chat…*
It's my favorite game ever as long as romance goes (pardon the thumbnail, please). My only issue is how animations do NOT change, so I insisted until Judy was rude with me because she had flirty looks in her final mission.
I gotta say, tough, it's exactly because her facial expressions are so good. And I really love the decision to NOT make the companions, her included, player-sexual - I never liked any female character in any game the way I like Judy but she lso reminds me of a RL female friend (yes, strictly friend) and those memories are way more releant than a generic pixel sex partner.
CPRed decisions made Judy one of my 2 all time favorite FRIENDS in games, alongside Mordin Solus.
@@Muljinnfunny thing is, Garrus dances the exact same 😅
9:29 "I see the story they tell of grey wardens endurance are not exaggerated" "It's a 30 second cut scene but okay" I laughed so hard at this
Makes you wonder about her previous experiences...
@@SketchbloppConsidering how she grew up in a swamp and has very high standard, she probably doesn't have much.
@@hangefoureyes that tracks
@hangefoureyes Wait, high standards? She'll jump in bed with a male warden literally the first time you make camp.
The swamp part totally makes sense, though.
That joke almost got a straight up spit take from me
Considering Tali is only 2% behind, and wasn't even a romance option in the first game, I'd say she is the real winner.
Morrigan has the voice of Claudia Black. Huge advantage there.
Not to mention the fact that Liara has a beautiful face and you never even see what Tali looks like except for a small picture she gives you after you've romanced her in the previous game.
@@user-vb2ll8nl6gtali benefits greatly from having such a loveable personality. she's such a sweet character, and I always loved talking to her. I liked Liara too, but for me tali was always the best.
I think people love both Talk and Liara are bad ass nerds basically. Something any game player will love.
But.. Seeing as how Tali can end up with Garrus.. I do enjoy shipping them
I'm surprised at myself that i haven't romanced Morrigan, considering my crush on Claudia Black that has been going on since Farscape.
Also, Liara double dips maleshep and femshep. Her stats are absolutely overinflated TBH...
14:49 it’s killing me that the VA laughs at the end of that line, and that’s still the take they used. Giving me big Tim Curry “SPAHYCE” vibes
“Un-brie-levable!” Jane, I love your sense of humor
I was imagining Ellen being like 4 rooms over and just perking up because her Pun Sensors activated
That and "it's a 30-second cutscene, but OK" had me dying
@@jesusaguirre2150 right?!?

I'll see myself out.
I agree with the science lady: what's more romantic than stats? Bureaucracy? Algebra maybe?
Definitely algebra. There's something super romantic about someone buying 30 watermelons!
Let me propose, calculus❤️
Accounting. I'd like to see HER credit memos!
Doesn't matter as long as it can be quantified within a spreadsheet. I'm Excelsexual!
Don't even get me started about taxes
The more I see Baldur's Gate 3 snippets, the more I believe it's a dating sim with extra steps.
It's not really that big a part of it tbh, that's that what attracts most people to it
Never forget that more people got the achievement for one of Elden Ring's secret endings than they did for the default one, all because you got to marry a doll woman with four arms.
I can't believe that 113 million corpses have been talked to, but Scratch has only been pet 48 million times! Who are the heartless people playing this game?!!!
It's possible they grabbed the stat for that from just one person's profile.
I'm on my second playthrough and lost out on the good boy simply due to trying to joke around with him *cries*
I ONLY FOUND OUT ABOUT SCRATCH WHEN I WAS IN ACT 3!!! I MISSED HIM!! I'M SO SO SO SORRY!!!
Pretty sure I’ve pet scratch 48 million times. Probably more.
*Shrugs the continues slaughtering the Harper's at Last Light Inn*
Jane is in her element here! 😉
And then some, at least she can't go all Kaiden on this one.
I really want to know what Jane's teenage fanfiction user handle was. I'm convinced that she wrote a lot of shipping fanfiction at some point...
This definitely felt like a Jane video suggestion 😂. Also, I’m surprised we didn’t see Jane come flying in from offscreen when Mike dissed Kaiden
Long in the making!
Romance! And! Statistics!
14:49 'I may be bad, but you made me glad.' Is it just me or can you hear the voice actor very nearly bursting into laughter at the end of that line :P
there is a lot of Dad-puns in the game. It's excellent
"What's more romantic than stats?"
My wife could not agree with you more, Jane. For next Valentine's day, I'm thinking of giving her an Excel sheet with metrics detailing every date we've had.
2:37 Even though it's funnier not to...
"And now Garrus is doing a lot more than just calibrating the Normandy's guns!"
When I heard her say this I said out loud "Woah, lady... I mean, you right but do you have to say it like that?"
Yeah... he had reach... she had... flexibility
Garrus can calibrate my weapons systems anytime.
I do think it's actually fairly canon not to romance Garrus.. As weird as it sounds. As he and Tali are the two that pair up regardless.. It's odd they programmed that in for them, and a few others.
@@CrazeeAdam unless you've played characters that romance him and/or Tali back in the day.. then whom knows how awkward that gets.
I know Thirsty Jane conceived of this and I’m all for it😂
I’m surprised she didn’t own up to romancing Alistair as she has in past videos. Jane… we know.
The idea of a game developed by spiders of unknown numbers and nature is truly unsettling.
Many games, they kind of overtook Bioware around the time Tali went into that Rachni cave with Grunt and screamed "Spiders spiders spiders spiiiiiideeeeeerrrs!"
@@KasumiRINA At least one of us isn't getting the joke rn.
I wouldn't call them games. Technomancer, Bound by Flame, Steel Rising... they're making good DEMOS with one finished location ie first one, that is designed for reviewers, who won't go further. And to film ingame trailers on it. Then you move to next location and, oh, what a surprise, they're all empty. Loved the ideas and music behind their games, but at a certain point just gave up on their vapourware antics.
So glad Greedfall got a mention. Kurt is also the worst to romance because, it takes from start to finish of the whole game, his compatibility is the hardest to raise, there are - 2 - points in the game where you could lose him permanently, and those 2 points are hard to avoid since they are each dependant on several quests.
About Morrigan, it's helpful to remember one of the only ways to survive the final boss is to knock her up so she can fuse the Archdemon's soul with your unborn child so she can be mother of a god. None of the other options have a built in game reason.
I don't think that counts as far as the achievements are concerned, since it's not part of romancing her.
you don't have to romance her to do that. and if you're playing a fWarden then you can ask Alistair/Logain to do it.
That doesn't count as "romancing her" for the purposes of the achievement so it wouldn't be reflected in the stats.
Not only is romancing her not required for it, but you can also ask Alistair to do it for you.
@@sirbiscutsomnom1454 or Loghain, or Zevran
Would love to see the stats on Skyrim. Not many of them are really "interesting" options, and the one people DO want isn't interested.
Thank god for mods.
I was remembering a comic on that subject involving Kharjo.
From what I've seen on yt, most people go for Aela or Ysolda. Don't even know what the most popular male character is. That is, of those that are marriable by default. With mods, you of course have Teldryn and Serana.
@@georgeoldsterd8994 Right from the first time I played Skyrim at launch, I thought the bard in the Solitude inn was the cutest in all the land/s (I can remember her voice, and look, but not her name).
Took years for me to play with mods, but I certainly did hurl a Mara amulet her way when it seemed [just about] appropriate, by Skyrim speed dating standards, at least. Pretty sure that playthrough got tanked by quest bugs, so the marriage of thief and bard didn't last long...
For Skyrim unmodded, I go for the single best girl who's the only one with these particular unique dialogue and "You and I, we're the only people in Skyrim worth loving, that's what I think" my personal favourite thing to hear every time "Leaving? Take the world by storm, dearest"
Senna. And especially once you can turn her into a vampire, living with her in Bloodchill Manor is perfection itself
One more point for shadowheart: she’s literally the first romance option you meet that doesn’t try to kill you.
There's a background conversation in one of the Mass Effect games that suggests Asari appear differently to different species, suggesting some level of biotic illusion is involved. For all we know they're actually Xenomorph-esque
It’s ME2. At the bachelor party with the human, salarian, and turian
@@zanetaylor8020 But what we see in Asari does have some resemblance to all 3 species
I think that idea is kind of weak though. Would cameras be affected by the illusions, because the group picture shows the Asari as humans see them. Pretty sure Wrex and/or other species describe them like how humans see them. You can see how the banshees are distorted Asari from how humans see them - would that be the case if they're using illusions?
Was there any non-human art that depicted an Asari? I can't recall. They'd depict them differently than a human artist would, no?
The theory is that the banshee’s are their true appearance, which would be pretty wild if true
@@2bdaqueen268 honestly I’d still hit it 😆

Shadowheart is friggin adorable! Not surprised she is most popular. And her epilogue is so sweet!!
The Morrigan achievement doesn't mean as much since there are two ways to get it, normal romance or during the ending where you bed her to seal the darkspawn within her.
Oh right. I forgot about the second one 😂
Caught me of guard the 1st time I played it tbh
Nickel for every time I had to bed a witch to seal the darkspawn within her
"Seal the darkspawn within her" sounds like the weirdest euphemism ever for getting someone pregnant.
@SimuLord I mean you literally do get her pregnant in order to seal the darkspawn within the child born between you lol
@@NewMega252 Well, that's not the something new I _expected_ to learn today, but here we are. Does she kill you afterward, or do you remain at least one point ahead of the guy in Far Cry 3?

To be fair, Leliana is kind of infamous for forcing players into an accidental relationship with her in DA:O.
I mean, did you have many options in DA:O?
you know, I was gonna ask what you meant, and then I remembered leliana questioning me about being with Morrigan when I had at no point tried to romance leliana lol.
@@jamesherb4384apparently it involves selecting a particular response after dealing with Marjolaine. I’m not sure which one, but it’s apparently a nicer one, that locks in her romance, even though it doesn’t seem to be. Hence the accidental lock in.
@@wolvesfang271 You had four options. one straight dude, one bi dude, one straight girl and one bi girl.
@@jasperzanovich2504 Right, so if you were playing a straight character - you had 2 options max. Not too surprising then when the options were 'Lawful alignment option' or 'Non-lawful alignment option'.
Kaiden Alenko is a gem and I’m tired of pretending he’s not!!
Kaidan Alenko is my #1 romance everytime
Now I'm going to keep coming back to these comments to see if an Estonian Wil Wheaton follower that has completed Baldur's Gate 3 shows up. That person will be my exact opposite, as I am none of those things.
Maybe in my next life I will be so lucky to be an Estonian Wil Wheaton follower who completed Baldurs Gate 3
@@simonreseigh6778one can dream...
It does help that Morrigan is voiced by Claudia Black.
Aeryn Sun rocked my teenage world.
I'm surprised by Leah being the most popular bachelorette, but not at all surprised by Sebastian (only Tumblr would've voted him higher, they absolutely have a type).
For the most part, I often hear that Abigail or Haley (despite the haters) are the most popular. Must be from people outside Reddit though.
I think the age of the player matters for Leah vs Abigail. It's common to see on Reddit that people think Abigail is too young/childish (lives with her parents, parents still try to control her, no job), Leah seems to be way more mature (lives on her own, has relationship history)
Man, I hate all the "Kaidan hate" There's a ton of people like Kaidan and he's mostly shy when it comes to relationships and can even feel a little pressured when a Shepard persues him too hard.
sorry but Bioware TRIED to make Liara (and Ashley and Kaidan) attractive, but we fell in love with Garrus and Tali anyway and had to BEG for them to be options in 2 and 3. That makes them win.
Also in all three Dragon Ages, I accidentally picked their respective Mage With Issues Who Betrays You At The End. Not sure what that says about me.
Tali'Zorah is definitely my favorite
As somebody who LOVES romancing characters with issues, I feel you. 🥲
Garrus was the only reason I chose playing fem!Shep 😂
i feel like morrigan's was far less of a betrayal than anders, and especially less of a betrayal than "i'm gonna genocide all the non-elves" solas
I don't know to me Bioware tries to make all the characters attractive.. Even Shale has absolute dump truck behind and she is made out of rocks
14:50 I love that you can hear danny start to laugh in this line
Given how accessible Liara is in ME1, the fact that Tali is second by only 2 percent says alot about how much more popular she is once she's available.
I'd be interested to see the stats for me2 and 3 only, where most options are available.
I love the opening line “Romance in video games has been around as long as video games themselves”. Very subtle and satirical humour. Remind me of first line of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Spoken by Jane…😮
As rubbish as the flirting is in Cyberpunk, at least it's written to sound like actual flirting not being vaguely nice, which is the best Bioware can usually muster.
Ikr, just being friendly in conversation. *suddenly* you have to choose between us!
Bioware are CANADIAN, Kaiden's arc is him basically apologizing to you, to his first love, to his teacher, to aliens, and to his parents. The cool thing tho, much like Alistair, you can "harden" them. And then you have Wrex saying maybe we should say council while mah boi Alenko is like NOPE KILL EM ALL!
Then there's Bethesda games like Fallout 4...
That's the problem with most romance in games: they come down to "do whatever he/she likes and score" which is not how it works in real life. While there's no way we would be getting any of that in today's political climate (what with studios' unwillingness to actually prioritize the immersion over a bunch of angry Tweets from gaming journalists), I wish that we live to see NPCs' acceptance or rejection of our character to a large extent depending on our physical looks.
And maybe, just maybe, _not_ having everybody you meet and their mother be conveniently bi just so the devs -can multiply the options without writing new lines of dialogue- can appear progressive? Please?
"Dreamboat Bastard" is a great description of Astarion 😂
It's actually concerning how many women seem to love Astarion. When I learned he's the top female pick, I died a little inside for my faith in the female of the species.
I thought I was gonna go for Astarion (might on another playthrough, most likely Durge), since he IS quite attractive, but then I ran into Gale and he just smirked at me while being insufferably nerdy about magic. I was done for after that. I love my weirdo wizard man so much 😂 💜
My first pick was Halsin, but I'm sorta weak to the white-haired trauma bois. Be that Fenris, Percy de Rolo, Angel Dust, or now Astarion... I just wanna hug them. Among other things ;P
@@Adanu191 As someone who is a huge fan Astarion I wouldn't actually want to go anywhere near him if he was a real person and I think most people who love him would agree with me on this. There is a big difference between people I love and want near me in reality and the types of fictional characters I love.
@@Adanu191 Thankfully a video game character we choose to romance usually has little to do with what we find attractive in real life...especially given the fact that there *aren't* actually elf vampires wandering around. But it's that combination that cinches it for me. Elf + vampire + snark + deeply wounded emo guy I can help heal. Rawr. Plus...Neil Newbon's voice.
“I maybe bad but you made me glad” sounds like laughter at the end there lmao was that an outtake? If so, y’all should totally do an “Outtakes that made it into games”
8:10 I don't know, Mike, he could switch it up to, "It's about to get spicy!"
That Stardew Valley one comes with the Bias of being a reddit survey: Meaning that first; you have to be on reddit to participate in it, and secondly; you have to be willing to participate in a reddit survey.
I dunno. Feels less official than the others. (And I want some respect for my frog-loving professional programmer)
It doesn't matter what the source, almost every poll says the same thing. Leah is always pretty high up there, followed by Abigail, and then a mix of the other ladies. Haley has gained popularity in recent years. Sebastian is the top bachelor by virtue of all the others being trash or boring.
@@arellajardin8188 Leah may be winning out for similar reasons to Sebastian; I know at least one guy for whom the major appeal of Abigail is that the game dialogue implies she immediately _eats_ the gifts you give her, and many of her favourite gifts are _gemstones_
@LordJazzly Possibly. Leah is the most "normal" and has a vibe that fits well with a farmer. The other women have quirks that make them more niche. Or like Penny, who you need to lie to, to not lose hearts.
@@arellajardin8188 Oh true; I hadn't even thought about them being able to fit into a farm vibe, but Leah is 110% that. I've met people IRL who run art galleries off their partners' farms; it's a whole thing.
Speaking of Shadowheart's incredibly low-cut outfit, just gonna share that the first thing I do once I have both Astarion and Shadowheart in my camp on every playthrough I play (of which there have been many lmao) IS SWAP THEIR CLOTHES!
Astarion's "Homely Clothes" look really nice on Shadowheart and the tight black outfit works for Astarion well.
Though I am sad at the double standard of it not having a super low-cut when on men, only on the women.
I really like putting Astarion's outfit on Lae'zel. She looks great in it.
@@Shae_Sandybanks Agreed!
It's such a nice outfit tbh, love the frills/curls.
I swap underwear in BG3. Astarion gets Lae'zel's, my PC get's the drow paladin's. About the only one who gets to keep their own is Gale - just because of that 'he couldn't have enchanted his...' description. I die laughing all the time.
The bigger double standard is males often get shirtless but women always get cover... I don't know in what world women are more naked above waist in media.
Low cut stuff is useless on men, while women love the stuff for the attention. Men and women are not the same, and never will be.
It's interesting to learn that the most popular dad in Dream Daddy is the one voiced by Dan Avidan.
I don't know if that's the reason he's the most popular... but it is why I'd chose Robert myself if I ever played it.
Right? Even though Robert and Dan are nothing alike, I would harken to say that's one reason he's heavily picked
I love that game. my various Dadsonas romanced all the Dads, and Robert probably was my favourite. Plus the hottie teacher, mmm moustaches
Robert's unique among Dream Daddy's eligible bachelors, being the only one who's down for a casual hook-up. Ironically, taking that option actually rules him out as a romantic partner: for the rest of the game he just stays aloof, silently judging you for having a drunken one-nighter with someone as rough-around-the-edges as him.
I romance Liara ONCE, and that was to get the achievement for my Xbox. Many would hate me, but I’d ALWAYS romance Ash as male shep, and Garrus as Fem Shep.
Morrigan and Tali still have a special place in my heart.
Still. tali does have Garrus which is cute
Tali was always my favorite. Except in reality it might get quite awkward since she only takes of her mask when it's about to get intimate. Just imagine she takes the mask of and has some sort of tentacle face under it..
@@zakkvanish3668 i've slept with the emperor in bg3, it's fine.
I still have to build a house on Ranoch!
It's true PONG paddles were in love, you just gotta read between the lines
|:(
... You're my hero now.
If I recall correctly, the plot of the PS2 sequel involved one of the paddles going on an adventure to save his paddle girlfriend (and the rest of the paddle townspeople i guess)
Nothing saucier than a good paddling.
They have such a good rapport. Really bounce off each other.
Keanu, you've been in my head since Point Break.
Something a lot of people don’t seem to take into account about the Shadowheart stats - a lot of players, myself included, heard that Karlach’s story was a bit rushed and buggy, and that the devs were planning on updating her romance line later. As a result, some players avoided Karlach because they wanted her romance route FINISHED before they decided to go with her on a second playthrough. Would that affect the stats? Probably not enough to change Shadowheart’s Placement, but it is interesting to think about.
You know what they say about video game romances;
"Caveat emptor, Bio-be-Ware!"
Underrated comment.
Alistair stays number 1 DAO romance in my heart 🌹
I'm pretty sure in Stardew the two most romanced characters are Abigail and Shane.
Honestly, Shadowheart's voice just cripples me. Jennifer English kills it.
My first BG3 playthrough had my bard behaving as bards do, until only Halsin was willing to put up with me. Karlach never entered the rotation, but I did consider her my in-game BFF (which was hilarious when one NPC asks if we're together and she says, 'Ew! Gross!'). When final end-game choices came about, I didn't hesitate a moment to do what I needed to keep Karlach safe and happy.
True friendship is true love.
I was also oddly attached to her.
I kept her head in my backpack the entire game.
Dude Karlach is the only character that I openly cried about. Like at the end when she’s burning up and doesn’t want to go back to Avernus… I was straight up sobbing while BEGGING her irl to save herself.
Which is weird because I never use her in combat and I don’t have her run around with me. But I guess she’s just that kind of characters who grows on you , whom you get attached to REAL fast.
I’ll never let karlach explode again, nor turn her into a…
Estonia mentioned!! Great video, I implore everyone who is still playing Baldur's Gate 3 to try Lae'zel's romance, it's REALLY good. Hers and Shadowheart's are my favorite.
Minthara had the best romance cut scenes, though.
I'm honestly surprised Astarion wasn't the popular option in Balder's Gate
The mass effect one I have to heavily disagree with.
I mean Garrus Vakarian is right there.
Garrus is space bro, not space ho
Don't knock being a wheel of cheese. Everyone loves cheese. And if you're swiss cheese, well...
I worship Swiss, for it is the holiest of all cheeses!
The problem with counting achievements as your basis for this statistic is the following: I am counted as having romanced Alistair, Morrigan, Zevran and Leliana. An even split in the stats, right? But considering that I romanced Alistair, Morrigan and Zevran once each, and Leliana something like seven times, I am going to give that one to Gaider. Leliana wins over multiple playthroughs. I feel confident that this is true for many players who replay those games.
The problem with your theory is I personally romanced Morrigan for over 20 playthroughs and Leliana like 2 or 3 times, Zeveran once and Alistair like at least 5 or more times. So by your example, Morrigan IS the best and most popular romance option.
I would gather Leliana is the "most common romance option" because if you are just playing the game for the first time and running as a nice person, she automatically gets romanced. Like, I remember playing the game for the first time and having no idea what was going on and suddenly, I got locked into her romance and when I turned down Morrigan for the ritual, I suddenly got asked am I turning her(Morrigan) down for Leliana.
So yes, if she is the most common romance option, I can guess why.
Fallout4 gives some good choices. Always fun to hang out with Cait. Who doesn't like killing a bunch of raiders then having a snuggle?
Hancock will always be my favorite, but Cait is a very close #2
Astarion must be playing *extremely* hard to get to not make it at least into the top 3
I've played this game 3 times and each time Asterion barely tolerates me by the end. I have no idea how to please this man
@@Zymemarui have the opisit problem. Everytine i try to romance someone else, i still end up with Astarion
I haven’t even played this game and yet I want to romance the hell out of Astarion.
"It's not you, it's me... I have standards." - Astarion 😅
@@Zymemaru just don't be TOO nice to ppl in his presence in act 1. Mischief, a little healthy selfishness, and after you get the bite (and pick the whole "I trust you" lines), you can basically do whatever. And don't be a j*rk to him in camp convos but that's probably obvious. 😂
Seriously, he calls the player easy to seduce but the dude is so thirsty for affection it's sad.
Wow! Surprised that the top choices in Stardew were Leah and Sebastion. Thought for sure it was going to be Abigail. Also, I like how you can hear Danny (voice of Robert in Dream Daddy) just break character with a snort at the end of the result screen at 14:48 Lol
I'm just intrigued by Jane's t-shirt, :)
5:50"Developed by spiders"..."the most unsettling thing I've ever said". HOW did you not get Ellen in to do this entry? That line would have SO much more meaning from her! LOL!
Vascoe's combat line from Greedfall is "A bit of poison on my blade, AND LET'S GO!" and I will hear that in my dreams for the rest of my life
I romanced Jack in the Mass Effect games, she was my kind of woman. I love Shadowheart, she's my fave BG3 character.
Jack was also my choice loved her, not to mention her growth as a character between ME2 and ME3, Karlach was my pick in BG3 tho
To hose saying stats aren't sexy, if it wasn't for statistics we wouldn't know that more people have been turned into cheese than have completed baldur's gate 3.
I was so confused for like ten seconds before I understood you meant IN-game!
...you meant in-game, right?
That bit is truly a moment of all time. I had way too much fun rolling around as a wheel of cheese with my companions following along without a single comment like that’s completely normal.
Tbf, given all the insane shit they’ve seen before you get to Rivington, sentient cheese just rolling around is most definitely not the weirdest thing they’ve seen.
@@ManubibiWalshhow do you get this? I gotta look it up lmfao
I didn't even kow this was an option!
Shadowheart may be the ACTUAL "most romanced" option, but Astarion is definitely the "the most TALKED ABOUT romanced option." Dude has taken over the internet with his vampire snark.
So glad Siora...and Greedfall...got a shoutout.
Yet the one true love in GreedFall is Constantine.
Is it as unfinished as usual Spider's game?
The shirt says “MOOD”
14:50 It’s Dan trying not to laugh while saying that line
HOLY SH- yall still do these!? I just had a massive nostalgia wave seeing the thumbnail in my recomended... I immediately recognized the format! Yall are awesome!
It’s so weird for me to see BroShep romancing Liara, as I’ve always played FemShep. And no matter what I said to Kaiden he always thought I was flirting with him. Oh, Kaiden, you sweet summer child.
Karen from Harvest Moon 64! A girl with attitude who likes to drink and the daughter of a vineyard owner? Sign me up! She even tries to help around the farm even if she sometimes fails which I find endearing.
Married her in Back to Nature! I adored Karen.
She's also the easiest to marry because of the dog glitch. So a game with the most insane time management requirements of the entire series you can skip a major task by just bringing your dog to the bar one night, spam A for 15min, and just make sure to trigger her cutscenes
I liked her hair best.
That was my whole reason for picking her over the others lol.
Romance, statistics, much like Janes shirt, this video is a mood.
With Panam, it’s honestly *only* because of the abysmal offerings the game does in terms of love interests. You have exactly 1 love interest to choose from for each gender and preference. Judy if you have a gay female V, River for straight Female V, Kerry for gay male V and Panam for straight male V‘s. And considering the majority of players of Cyberpunk are straight males, it kinda does explain the stats by itself.
I for instance am a straight male, but *immediately* jumped ship to Kerry because Panam is honestly unbearable as a character. She is childish, hot headed, childish, rude, immature and childish. She literally throws tantrums around and literally just isn’t gonna talk to V if you decide to not go her route on certain things. I can imagine if Judy was available as an option for straight male V‘s, that stat would’ve changed *real quick.*
I'm glad someone brought this up.
I'm currently working on what I call the, "Realistic Take on Trying not to Die" playthru, where I will romance no one because damnit, got no time for that, I'm trying to not die here.
Also, just seems rude to lead with, "Yeah, I got a terminal brain chip disease. Wanna get involved?"
So you're a straight male... But jumped shipped to Kerry in a gay playthrough bc a girl character was unbearable....!!!
Why didn't you just ignore both... Seems like the straightest thing to do. I mean it's your playthrough, you choose but kinda weird response if you're straight.
@@opscontaylor8195"got no time for that"
A fellow Courier 6 fan?
Don't know what it is about Turians, but I really like them. Maybe someday I'll get to be one if Bioware ever allows us to pick a species for a Mass Effect game. I'd have to say Garrus is probably the hardest to romance in the main series as you have to be loyal to him throughout all three games with the same Shepard. Otherwise, you'd miss out on some cutscenes and special dialogue options. Still feel sad Shepard had to sacrifice herself, but maybe for the best since human and turian biology are so vastly different. Guess they could've adopted orphans though. Hidden third ending was probably the lesser of three evils I suppose...
He is hard to romance but it's so worth it!
I don't know what it is with turians, but if I can romance one, I will.
Garrus is great and Vetra in ME Andromeda is as well.
I would like to point out that in Jade Empire you can romance both Dawn Star and Silk Fox at the same time.
The Last Spirit Monk has more game than Commander Shepard! Thank you and good day.
I've never actually played Mass Effect, and I've barely even _heard_ of Jade Empire, and your comment _still_ made me choke on my beverage! 🤣 Have a thumbs up! ☺
Is that game worth finishing? I always stop playing usually a little bit after recruiting that little ghost girl with two spirits inside her
@@Xxsorafan Oh, yeah. There are some twists down the line, that's for sure.
I remember renting that game to play through it when it came out, with a friend of mine at the time. It was his rental, so he would usually spend whatever free time he had playing through it, and on the days I got it I would catch up at his house while he watched.
I remember him trying to do this, although he had a favorite and I think it was Fox but I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyway, he failed miserably and he spent that entire weekend lamenting about how it probably wasn't even possible, it was probably just a rumor you know people making stuff up to be trouble.
And as I was playing, as he was watching, I accidentally got the double romance on both them without really trying. He didn't talk to me for a week, it was hilarious.
@@Xxsorafan It's rough nowadays of course as the style of game has been improved upon so much over the years, but even today it still has a rather unique setting. I'd love another company to do a well-done ancient China (fantasy or not) action rpg. (the fact that ubisoft has decided to waste China on a side-game, TWICE, is something I'll never completely forgive them for)
I need that "MOOD" t-shirt
Lmao that dig on Kaiden. You're not wrong but damn 😂
That 30 second cutscene joke made me laugh far too hard
Wait, there are people who had a FemShep and didn't romance Garrus? This is a dark dark timeline.
It's worth it if only for Mordin giving you sex advice. Some of the most awkwardly earnest dialogue in the game.
Sorry, but I always see Garrus as my best bud. Not to mention him and Tali are adorable together. I can't bring myself to interfere with that.
I stuck with Liara my first time because I wanted to be loyal. garrus was a different playthrough.
@@sundalangur3250lol, that's funny to me, cause I have never done a male shep playthrough where I didn't end up with tali. sorry garrus, but she's my sweetheart 😂
I romanced Garrus but Thane, Samantha and Liara are good options too, really the only Romance that sucks is Jacob’s
I just realized how much Greedfall's Constantin sounds like Squiffy.
I really hope he shows up in a new season of Oxventure.
My FemShep in Mass Effect 2 ended up with Thane without even trying at it. That's how spiritually in tune she was with a coldly professional assassin (I based her off my TES Dark Brotherhood character, after all).
Thane also ended up the sole casualty in the final mission, so again-- karma.
Liara is always funny to me as there was something near uncomfortable about her romance in the first game, like they played her innocence up a bit too much, but and then ME2 base game had just such a shrugworthy reunion that it was staggering.
But then LotSB happened and ME3 just did some masterful work on that front. And somehow in the end, for me, the Liara romance was the true epic romance that I could not choose anyone else. Like there was a journey with her and Shepard that just felt right.
ME1 in general suffered from extremely clunky writing: one scene has Liara cheerfully telling you about how interspecies relationships are normal and preferred by asari, then two conversations later she's wangsting about how she's attracted to you even though you're a different species.
@@MacrocheniaI don't recall you being human as being an issue, but rather how fast she has developed her feelings, and being somewhat confused by them because of how little experience she has with other people in general.
Not to mention if you carry through all three games her romance it's heavily hinted at that she's pregnant with Shepards child... No other romance has those implications
Kaiden rubbish? I’m ready to throw hands to defend my space boyfriend. 🤣
Agreed! My Shep will always remain loyal to the best Space Husband.
Good thing you will, because he sure won't (he has a headache)
Kaiden is misunderstood. A lot call him boring but he just has his crap together and doesn’t need to develop much unlike many of the others. The interesting thing there is that he does have issues and he tells you about them but he has them well in hand.
It doesn’t help though that his tantrum in Mass Effect 2 and starting Mass effect 3 even if you are romanced to him is pretty damn off putting.
Kaiden who? Was that the guy I left on Virmire?
@@Peachrocks5 I personally found it weird he's suddenly bisexual in 3.
He's a slight step above the space racist that is Ashley at least.
Though as far as humans go no one beats Jack. The female ubermench is top tier you have no counter arguments against her. Especially the cool haircut she gets in 3.
I am so guilty of the Morrigan thing, she has such an interesting character arch that comes with it.
I checked the achievements for Boyfriend Dungeon. The most romanced character is the Kpop singer, followed within a single percentage by genderbent Banksy.
Does Jane have anything to say about Kaiden being more popular than Ashley according to Guinness?
Ashley is more offputting initially, due to being a space racist...
2:25 in ME3 there’s a bar scene between non-Asari NPC’s that make the eerie implication that none of them can agree how they look like
It's in ME2 on Illium.
@@dermade83 oof, it’s been so long my memories ME2/3 have blended together lol
True, but I never really bought into that theory that they adapt how they look in people's minds to be attractive. Like, human armour fits them in ME1, unlike krogans or turians or whatever. So I think it's just that they have several factors that different species each find attractive
@@freddierhodes8201 I think it's as simple as some sort of biotic illusion, and it's only their facial features that are 'shifting,'
@@AzureRook Hmm, maybe! If ME4 ends up letting us play as a non-human character, we'll know for sure!
I'd forgotten about the endlessly repeated voicelines in Greedfall.😂😂
"Liara is the clear favourite in this Guinness Records poll"
*Liara at 29%*
*Tali at 27%*
Seems pretty close to me.
Make a list of the 10 Romanceable characters that ended up breaking your heart. Solas from DAI better be in the top five. 😂
Dorian would just edge it I feel.💔
Cullen forever.
Damn I'm basic, thought I'd finally bucked the trend when Morrigan came up for DAO until you dropped the Lilliana bombshell.
I just realized why I keep seeing Oxboxtra videos with different thumbnails than they originally had, that's that new youtube feature where creators can upload more than one thumbnail and yt will figure out which works best on viewers! I legit thought I was going crazy, thanks youtube.
Can you even imagine romancing someone with a name like Leliana? Just as difficult as casting Moon Beam I'd wager
I feel like this would've also been a fun video to do as a quiz, like you sometimes do!
