    Once the radiator is positioned as shown you can reach in and pull up each plug cover. Use the tube spanner in the bike's toolkit to remove the plugs using an open ended spanner to turn the tube spanner. Plenty of room. Replacement is a reversal of the above. I use a small torque wrench and extender adapter to fit on the tube spanner so I can get the right torque. Easy, enough space. Then reinstall everything as shown and top up coolant. Was a faff the first time but have learned by experience. Hope this helps.

    You also need to set/adjust the sparkplug gap before screwing them in !

    Thanks for this tutorial. You can change the sparks just taking apart the two small tubes on the right side of the radiator, and let the big tubes on the left. So the radiator stay filled. Bonne route !

      @@dimisR6 Hello, I said the same things in french, but more precisely because it is easier for me ! ;-) To unscrew the left spark, wich is difficult as you said because of narrow place, you can use a ratchet wrench with a 14 plug and the plug spanner given in the tool box of the TDM. Thanks !

      @@dimisR6 you are right, you have more space doing your way.
      Now I have to check the plugs and the wire of the sparks. Sometimes my engine dont turn well at low RPM (when the weather is rainy), and sometimes it is ok...

      @@dimisR6 Yes, I planed to check, and change the plugs and the wires, as soon as the weather is better (it is very cold in Paris now and I dont have a workshop to work on the bike). Thanks

    Very nice but you never showed how you removed the sparkplugs or the caps.. That was the part I was most interested in.

    Well explained, 3 years old video but still using it! Any indication on how you check the level of coolant? I usually use a flash light to light in the bottle, but whatever I tried with this motorcycle model, couldn't get an idea. In the end used a wire as a dipstick to have an idea if something is in there....

      Thank you for watching. Unfortunately you cant check the coolant with other way... Not without removing any parts of the bike.

    Thank You for the very helpful video! Did You try sports-airfilter and did it have any effect on increasing power and acceleration? Do You know how many liters the tank is capable of? Some information say 20 liters, but indicator shows empty after about 15 liters or 300 km. My RN18 consumes about 4.4 l/100 km, that means, with 20 l tank it could run about 400 km, but I didn't try it. Maybe indicator isn't much correct...

      Fuel tank is 20 liters and the fuel light comes on when 4 liters remain. Most people never fill all the way their tank because it keeps air in it and needs a lot of patience to fill it all way up. So your calculations about 15 lt and then fuel light is come in, is correct. I had KnN air filter but i always riding very softly so i did not nottest any difference.

    Thanks for the video. I wanna ask what is the model year of your bike? I have tdm 900 too but on my bike the coolant tank is placed on the other side... What kind of coolant liquid did you use in the video? I saw it is green but g11 or G12 or myabe better?

    • @dimisR6
      @dimisR6  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bike was 2005 model year. And as i know, all 900 has the coolant reservoir to the same place. The left of the bike and under the seat. I dont remember the type of Coolant i use to that day. But i always use what manufacturer is suggesting.
