I love the Super Mario Bros Movie. I even cosplayed as The Penguin King which was a complete success
Here after the Three Little Princesses rant.
Me too
Same
Me THREE
I didn't mind Peach being a more active figure in the movie, not just because of Peach's history of being such in stuff like 3D World, but also because I remembered that Princess Fiona was a thing, and she was toying with princess tropes before Disney overdid it.
If you do a review/rage rant on the three little princesses comic, I’ll tell all my friends to subscribe to this channel!
Imagine a crossover with this guy and Odyssey
It's a good adaptation but in all seriousness, its "story" is above average.
2:38 THE TCNATION!!!
15:16 Although I'd have prefered toadsworth, it's still a pre-established toad character (toadbert) that serves pretty much the exact same role in the movie than he does in the opening to Bowser's Inside Story
Jesus finally I didn’t mind the pop tracks at all a lot of them really fit
A few things:
1, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong was somehow PEAK comedy, and it's hard to believe I'm the only one who sees it, 2, Luigi should've snapped (I even wrote a fanfiction about it titled Turning (Green and) Red), 3, another bit of hypocrisy: when Movie!Peach is more active than her game self, everyone despises it, but when Movie!"Donkey Kong" is literally NOTHING like his game self in terms of personality, nobody bats an eye, and people even praise him! (Frye WTF noise) He might even be WORSE than 3LP!Peach, because at least she STARTED like her normal self, if a bit flanderized. Gnok Yeknod (as I've taken to calling him) has a moment where he MIGHT have a prick realization, only to throw it out the window and give a massive "peck you" to the idea of common decency! Sorry for the long comment, I just needed to get my frustration with how the writers and Seth Rogen massacred DK, and I'm not even the biggest Donkey Kong fan in my state!
I was not expecting you to bring up the three little princesses but great that you did because I know was only one was taken a back on how bastardised Peach's character was in that also good on you for defending movie and that's coming from a major Slick frame fan who doesn't agree with the fetish statement but differently agree with cinema sin knock off opinion of yours even I do enjoy some of his videos
I just wanted to make a low hanging joke because I hate the super crown in general outside of peachette herself. I'm a fan of him, too. He just has a habit of saying and doing stupid things.
My main complaint with the movie and i guess some of the games as well, is that they forget female toads or toadettes are a thing like in the earlier paper Mario games. Makes it seems like all the toads are gay and reproduce that way or asexually lmaoo idk. 😭😭 Just a small gripe the movie was so great I watched a full three times with family and friends!😁🍄
It's weird because Toadette is referenced in the movie (via poster in toad town). You can really tell what era this movie was being developed in as if it was pre Wii U or late Switch era then we probably would've gotten female and elderly Toads. (Where's my boy Toadsworth?!)
I think some big reasons as to why Mario fans were mad about Peach's character change are :
A). because it feels lie Peach was made into a girlboss character to pander to the "woke" culture of "strong independent woman who don't need no man" that's been a bit oversaturated in the present day and often done poorly (just look at the 2016 Ghostbusters movie) in order to not have Peach a damsel in destress, as apparently that trope's seen as sexist nowadays,
And B). It seems that Luigi's chance for a spotlight in the movie was sacrificed to give it to Peach. Seriously, he gets kidnapped once the Bros. arrive in the Mushroom Kingdom and does next to nothing for the rest of the movie until the very end. It really seems like they Peach and Luigi swapped places and the Green Thunder was made the damsel in destress in order to not make the female look weak and defenseless. And I think that upset a lot of Luigi fans.
Man, speaking of Charri. Have you seen his Mario movie rewrite? LMAO
@@Geeligans-i-Land Yeah, aside from Toadsworth, it sucks. His way of "fixing" a simple movie is just to make it overly complicated. And don't even get me started on that Peach s#!t. That's why I defended how she was handled in this movie.
@@jayskeletynThe fact also that you got people coming out of the woodwork saying that the LA93 Mario movie is better than the A23 Mario movie, genuinely feels contrarian and only saying this because they just hate Illumination or hate Miyamoto. And I actually do like the 93 Mario movie too.
@@jayskeletyn Okay, i agree with on the Charrii slander because his EWW parody series is trash at best and wrong at worst.
I like this review, but I will not stand SlickFrame slander.
