    Why use guitar pedals in the age of great software plug-ins? Well, in this overview and review of the Meris Polymoon, an incredibly intuitive delay and phaser pedal, I attempt to answer that question.

    Wow I just ordered this glorious pedal..I done some calculations and I counted 800 different combinations between the modulation options and Dual Envelope/Lfo settings !! And then add in all the different Delay structures and Phasing/Flanging and it seems this pedal is absolutely unbelievable!!!

    very interesting and inspiring. I am really tempted to get one of these, but than again I think the same sounds can be achieved with 2 plugins (thats for my personal workflow). Thanks for showing the possibilities of the Polymoon.

      Thanks for watching! Yea totally, I know that any sound can technically be made with plugins and I love my plugins (UAD and Output are my faves) but it's just not the same workflow as having all the knobs with no screen like this! Makes me more creative :)

    Thanks for this review 👌 ! Would be curious to hear the Electro-Harmonix Stéréo Memory Man, this pedal has been used with synths on lot of records.

    Great presentation man. Have you ever tried something like this as an external effect send?

    • @MilesAwayOfficial
      @MilesAwayOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Late reply but absolutely! I always run 1 or 2 pedals out as a send from my Apollo. I like the ROOMS or Empress Reverb and then either this, the LVX or the El Capistan usually for my 2 sends.

    Are you using the meris midi box to keep the delay clock in time with your sequence?
    Wondering if I can do this without having to buy their $100 midi box lol.
    Or are u just using manual tap tempo and embracing the imperfections?
    Thankss

    • @MilesAwayOfficial
      @MilesAwayOfficial  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just tap tempo! I hate clocking pedals to midi unless its something specific like Microcosm. I like the imperfections of tap tempo :) if you do want midi though get the LVX

    What brand/model is that 3 tier keyboard stand? I’m in the market. Trying to decide if I want one line that or the 4 tier square ones that slide out. Blanking on the name. I’ll remember 10 seconds after I post. 😅

    • @MilesAwayOfficial
      @MilesAwayOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I don't know the name! Bought off craigslist years ago and the logo is not there. Its fine for studio but I definitely would not trust it live

      hey Shane! It's just a original demo song I made for this video. I make a new original demo song for each piece of gear I review (it's my thing!) and they are all available to download on my patreon over all the months in the Tier 1 "Copyright Free songs and goodies" folders.

    has the LVX replaced this for you?

    • @MilesAwayOfficial
      @MilesAwayOfficial  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Personally yes because I am mainly a studio composer/producer, and the deeper side of the LVX is perfect for me. But if you don’t need all the modular features of the LVX, the workflow and sound on this is still absolutely top. And I miss being able to run phaser, flanger, and multi tap delay all at once - Polymoon only can do that, LVX can’t
