Same here..The dreamy pads you can get out of it are amazing..the only thing I'd love to be on it is a longer delay time like 1600 to 3200 ms for even slower dreamy phase pads...
Andy, just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to walk through this pedal. I know that it's been out for a bit, and there's probably a lot of gear that you could be looking at right now. Been trying to wrap my head around these Meris offerings, and your approach and touch are so welcome in unlocking the tone within. Cheers, and keep 'em coming!
So many pedals come and go. I remember being very impressed with this when it first came out. It was however soon swallowed up in a sea of new pedals "of all types." This video is a great reminder of just how insanely nice this one sounds. Thanks for reminding me.
@@guitarlicker_ not a clue what kind of music y'all make, but if I brought this thing to one of my band practices, it'd be three minutes of oohs and ahs and then "alright turn it off let's get to work"
I love the look, deisign ideas and sound of this pedal. Looks like it's going to join the host of other beauties on my board. Not often you see Andy smile as often as he did making this video.
Thank you, I have this pedal but not really got into it deeply yet. This really helps me understand the internal signal flow and how all the functionalities work finally!!
Absolutely! The stereo interaction on this is unreal-flanger, delays and phasers are all playing with the stereo field. I hope everyone listens to this vid with headphones!
This is the review I have literally been waiting for for years: Andy and the Meris Polymoon! Because Andy is such a versatile and intuitive player that I thought he would be the perfect match to capture what the Polymoon is all about - and I was right. He takes you on a trip that does the Polymoon justice. What's impressive is that the Polymmon can do a straightforward delay, a modulated delay, or take you on a sonic trip around the world. Remember that first time you heard Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?". Yeah, it's mind-blowing like that! Check it out, you won't regret it. I got the Polymoon when it came out and it's one of my favorite pedals, period. Great sounds! I hope Andy checks out Meris' other pedals too. Thanks Andy!
Beautiful intro Andy! The Meris stuff seem so clean in comparison to other brands. I think this makes them come across more cold than warm to my ear, but I don't say that in a negative light. I think an artist needs warm and cool colors on the palette. I can't decide which of the 3 I would like to add to my rig from the polymoon, mercury 7, or Hedra. This was a great review thanks. I will contemplate.
Great video and playing as usual. These Meris pedals are extremely innovative and top of the line in tone quality, some of these unique sounds are amazing in a TH-cam Demo Video, but I'm not sure how or how much I'd be using most of these sounds in a musical song / playing context...
How do you do the factory reset? I bought a used one and would like to start from factory settings. I downloaded the manual, but I can’t find how to reset. I found pages showing the factory settings, but I assume there is a way to power up so it just resets itself.
@@AndyDemos thanks for the reply. I saw another TH-cam video where someone explained how to do a factory reset on the Meris Mercury 7, so I just assumed it could be done with the Polymoon. I think I got it set fairly closely to the factory settings now. It’s definitely going to be a steep learning curve for me. I struggled with configuring some of the global settings. I didn’t really understand what to choose between Dry Active and Dry Muted as well as the Trails configuration. I guess I will have to just experiment and see what different configurations do. It seems to be a very cool pedal.
That’s a fair question- if you see the back panel, there is very little room for another jack in this form factor. My guess is they had to make a tough decision on what players use the most.
I have mine at nearly the end of the chain and it’s sounding great but on the stereo outs would you use a trs to a mixer and then to separate amps. Thanks
I wish Meris made Polymoon into a full size workstation, with all 12 knobs and three switches, & a little display to dial in your numbers. & digital i/o connecting it to similarly built Enzo.
@@AndyDemos One of my favourites on the album, a huge chunk of the cover is gone after my cats and dog got at my vinyl back in the 80's. Great demo as ever, even if on the few occasions which the pedal doesn't do it for me I vote them up for the playing.
Nice Beatlesk demo tune. Too bad they had to throw in the extra 100 bones for the four switch pedal. At $300 they could at least give you a break on that highly useful "accessory".
Haha, my approach was to explain the pedal by going through the stages of the signal path (Flanger, Delay, Mod, Phaser) and yes they have secondary controls. Based on your comment, I added some chapters to help clarify the flow. Hope it helps!
Yet another toy that I don't need and cannot afford. Andy is great to listen to, that's why I'm here (sorry Meris) - but isn't this just a simplified little computer in pedal form? (Disclaimer: I know nothing about Digibollox hence "little computer", like a phone or one of these "plug-ins" the kids talk about).
My favourite pedal of all the time. So many lush and experimental sounds inside this box. So inspiring.

Man you sold me at the 12 min mark with the stereo phaser. Holy smokes that sounds is just so encompassing and immersive.

I'm curious as to what pedals you came across that made you forget about this one?

Love how you always find the sweet spots. The tones fit the mood be safe
The Clash ~ Ghetto Defendant at 8:23 was awesome ⚡️🖤⚡️
Thank you, always love to see when folks recognize the deep tracks!

I never get tired of your videos, Andy. Thanks for all that you do.
best demo i have seen so far of this meris pedal ... very musically ... enjoyed every second .. thanks andy
Thank you!
Really interesting sounds out of this one! Meris makes awesome pedals. Great demo Andy, as usual.
Thanks so much!

Andy! Wicked playing as usual!!
Man. Half of the time I loved it. The other half I don’t know what to do with it...
I think you saved me 300 for now 😂
You have a great sound, and this is a very useful demo as well.
Great video Andy! not even finished yet but, 10/10 Thanks mate ( :
I've hod one for a bit and pulled it back out this morning. Took a break and see the alert that you just threw up a demo! :)
Very nice Demo Andy! Just ordered the Polymoon today & am excited to start experimenting with it. Thanks for Sharing your thoughts on it!
Glad it was helpful!
Powerful pedal. Good start for someone just getting into stereo effects.

Trs out for stereo?
Clash sounded great!!

Love the custard pie tele
Best delay I own!..
Very Radio Head! Super cool!
It DOES seem to have a space echo vibe about it
Some day a live Andy concert and an album My bucket list

Playing my fav clash song really took me by surprise
I’ve taken this thing so far outside it’s default settings i can’t get a normal sound out of it.
You might try the Factory Presets mentioned in the manual 👍🏻

@@timmartin56 Sorry about that, it appears they show the settings so you can re-dial and save but no factory reset on this model.

6:12 is itself worth the price of the pedal
So you have to use a Y cable for stereo input? Why do pedal makers do this?
That’s a fair question- if you see the back panel, there is very little room for another jack in this form factor. My guess is they had to make a tough decision on what players use the most.

actually one of the better sounding delays you've demoed
A lot of the flanger sounds remind me of the Alexander F.13. Very similar.
That version of 'Ghetto Defendant" = 🔥
Thank you!!
Wow

Was that a Too Many People quote in the beginning ?
Can you use a trs to a mixer and then to separate amps?
Andy .... this is so so CovidRock.... melancholy pensive and laying bare the human condition... I hope you are ok.
The Clash?
Good catch! Song is Ghetto Defendant ✌️

What kind of amp do you use for a stereo pedal?
Two amps

Flipped pieces of coin exchanged for birth right. Allen Ginsberg and Joe Strummer.
