One of my biggest joys in life is seeing what kind of strange and unique sounds I can conjure by joining together different pedals. I’m a nerd, I know. Luckily it seems like the gang at Meris are just like me, as they’ve created an interplanetary ecosystem of stunning cascading sounds in their Polymoon Delay.
Polymoon is a super modulated delay inspired by cascaded rack gear of the 80s and 90s, seeing you mix and match multi-tap delays, dynamic flangers, stereo barpole phasers and wild pitch effects for a world of vibrant spacious sounds that go far beyond the realm of delay as we know it.

If you run a Rat into the Polymoon, turn the phaser/flanger off, select all 6 delay lines, and set delay time to just a tad above zero, you have got the most amazing guitar stereo multitracker. REALLY fattens your sound and spreads it out! Instant Nuno Bettencourt.

For real. I hate most youtubers. Of course pedal reviewers. Andy is obviously the king. But Andy isn't human. He's a god, so that doesn't count.
But this channel is really good. His clean tone is a good solid base to demonstrate what pedals can do. His playing fits thr pedals. And the best is I dont have to listen to someone talk for 3 hours to hear a 5 min demo haha

DUDE. The stereo spread and complexity is nuts with headphones on!! Not just simply panning the delay left and right, but creating an experience in a non linear way, like some deep keys and synths do. That’s awesome!

This review really inspired me to check out the Polymoon... what an experience this pedal is! With a great pedal you can feel the dimensions of the sound shifting, but with the exceptional Polymoon it's literally like extra dimension of reality I never knew existed start to become known and effected by it. 5 mins in and you're getting rare sonic landscapes only heard deep on records like Kid A or an old Zappa composition. Thanks for going the extra mile on this review! Your genuine enthusiasm is understood.
Meris needs to give you 20% of all their sales... this demo is by far the best of this pedal. Even the legendary Andy Martin really seemed to struggle showing off what this pedal can do. You sound fantastic man!

@@thepedalzone can you explain what it's actually doing? It feels as if it's bottling up all your delays when you press down the second footswitch and then releases them all when you let go... what's the official explanation or is it actually that magical?
Cody Rathman - It’s instantly slowing down the delay. Halving the speed actually, which gives you a faux octave down effect. When you release, the delay returns to its normal speed, which is now perceived as a burst of octave up regenerations 😊👍

As beautiful as Stefan's ideas and music is, he should have a hell of a lot more subscribers. I wish he had a CD. If you do Stefan, WHERE CAN I GET IT?!! Seriously, stunningly beautiful music. I bought The Polymoon because of this demo and the excellent demo the "The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show" did on this pedal. But even they say towards the end of the demo that we need to hear Stefan's video on the Polymoon. Really great stuff here.

I saw this video the day it came out originally. Since then, I’ve thought of nothing but having a Polymoon on my board. Just a few days ago some friends and family came together to absolutely spoil me with one for my bday. And let me tell you, i have never been more excited to try something out than the pitch shifted/half speed trick 6:30 in this video!! The wait was even more worth it than I could have ever imagined. I'm not a digital delay guy, but I have sold a number of effects to get one of these and the Mercury7--I feel like there are just the right amount of features in both while keeping the design and layouts relatively simple. I just wish the Mercury7 had 2 separate inputs to match-up with the Polymoon's dual outputs...so I had to get a TRS splitter and will set the Merc to TRS--we'll see! Both nice demos--thanks!
I now have both the Polymoon and Mercury7. With a pair of Moog analog delays in front of these, they sound luscious together--really calms the sound, and the Dimension control on the Polymoon is FABULOUS, especially when using an electric piano.

I really love watching you getting out the best of these kind of complex pedals but I have to confess, I could never tame such a beast of a pedal so I stay with my Diamond Memory Lane Jr., my Emma Navigator and my Solid Gold EM III. Two of these I bought inspired by your videos.
Thanks, man! Means a lot. Totally understandable that the Meris pedala can seem overwhelming when it comes to features and UI. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple. All of the delays you mention are phenomenal. They just sound killer straight out of the box and require minimum tweaking. EM-III is one of my favorite delays in recent years. So good!

Planning on putting one of these between my Mercury7, Specular Tempus and my old Damage Control Timeline (pre-Strymon model). Used to think Delay into Reverb was the order of the day now can’t believe the lushness I get from feeding my reverbs into my delays, CAN’T WAIT! to slot the Polymoon into the mix! Thanks for the amazing demo as usual!

wow this is the best thing ive heard in ages this thing seems to have endless possibilities just the pure thought of combining this with my levitation reverb...... i mean its so expensive and i really spent to much on gear in the last months but common man these sounds make me almost tear up.
If there's a pedal out there that's fully worth its price tag then it's the Meris Polymoon. Just a sonic masterpice from beginning to end, and I can't possibly recommend it enough. Really happy you liked the demo ❤

You sold me in 10 minutes! I went straight to buy this amazing pedal immediately! It sounds almost as amazing as Hologram’s Microcosm, which I’m waiting on pre-buy. (Maybe just as good, but I’ll have to see.) This one should arrive this week!
Very inspiring demo. Just bought one on the back of this video. Was leaning toward the more expensive BOSS DM-101 before that. But didn't love the mono in/stereo out setup; for the price. Hopefully the good ship Meris will have be happy exploring The Final Frontier of Space with my TC Electronic SCF+, Soma Labs Cosmos, Chase Bliss Mood Mk.II and UA FX Del-Verb. Really gotten into these modern stereo pedals, since setting up my old Vox Pathfinder 15 along with my main amp, a Vox AC15. Hearing the Del-Verb in stereo was a revelation. My main purchase for next year will be a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster, to add some Fender/Trem/P-90 options. The Aston mics sound nice too, very clear rendition. But I guess I'll need an expression/volume pedal next.
