    Does the non-spring-loaded one insulate better than the spring-loaded one? Meaning, are there small gaps that will allow air?

      Hello, Neither of the 2 are airtight. Butt with my experience I had better results with the non-spring-loaded.
      Once the liquid nail dries, it creates a seal all the way around. Ask for the centerpiece that is basically the door. I use an extremaly thin one-sided adhesive weather strip tape. Hope I answered your question. Thank you for watching.

    I'm finishing my basement and just got this. Instructions seemed simple, but it's nice to see it happen.
    Question for you. How do I determine how much paint and primer I need for my new drywall?

    • @HandymanLand
      @HandymanLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, usually I get a bedroom done with 1 gal of primer and 1 gal of paint. But I prefer purchasing the two in one. Bear is a good brand of paint. Thank you for watching.

    I was thinking about using one of these in my kitchen ceiling. Does anyone know if you could do that roll on popcorn texture on them?

      The access panel I use with liquid nail can be used on ceilings. You can paint these access panels. But I never tried the popcorn texture. Thanks for watching.

    If its stud in the way will the panel sit flush to the wall because its a lip pn the inside of the panel

    • @HandymanLand
      @HandymanLand  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it's still should be flush to the wall. The access panel is size for half-inch drywall. So the stud shouldn't affect it in any way. Hope my answer was helpful.Thank you for watching.

    What do you do when a shutoff valve is half in/out of the wall?

    • @HandymanLand
      @HandymanLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a hard question to answer without actually seeing the wall. But what I will do is, if possible, relocate the valve. Or reframe that wall, which is a lot of work. You can dress it by the top as shelving. And then your access panel at the bottom where the valve is located. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.
