Thanks for this. Just what I was looking for before this weekends race. Seems like a hard tail with some fast tires would be totally fine here, and the weight savings would pay off on all those climbs. Maybe one day they'll connect this area to weir canyon and/or coal canyon.
Thanks for asking. I had a set back last week, but I'm still able to ride. I'm currently looking into Amino Acid (peptide) shots and continuing with my Physical Therapy. BTW, they just opening another spot: Red Rock Canyon.
Fairly fun ride. When I was at the "lookout" on a very windy day, there were a couple of well-endowed lady-hikers. I told them they could take off their bras and hangglide down.

That would be amazing...I'm waiting for a connection between Whiting and Peter's Canyon Trail

My pleasure as always and thank you for the comment
Thanks for sharing, this might be a one and done location
To each his own. Some people really enjoy the XC style of these trails.
Didn't know about this trail. Thanks for sharing.
Btw, how are you doing from your knee? Hope it's better.

The XC race here coming up, do you think it's ok for newer slower guys like myself?
Of course! OTH is made for everyone! I think there is a first timer class. Gypsum has a lot more climbing than a normal OTH
@@MTBMOR Oh dang, I looked at the elevation details for GypCyn and it might be above my pay grade of haha.
@@realvaughnfelix I think that might have been the last race. I am having a hard time figuring out the races.
Is it open year round now?
I'd assume it is, but only on the days they open it.
